I can think of some pretty simple ways, but im looking for a way that makes a seamless transition from the orginal person in the picture to the white background without any jagged lines.

Original Image
Now befunky is an online image app that creates cell shaded images for you, but at low res. It outputs a line art sketch like this.
Befunky Output
The closest I can get in Photoshop using a combination of Smart Blur and Gaussian Blur is this.
Current
As you can see I'm not quite getting the smooth lines that Befunky seems to draw.
I have to change a portrait into a 2 toned image, then a 3 toned, then a 4 toned.
View 2 Replies View Relatedhow do you take a photograph and make it into artwork you can use on a t-shirt design? I guess I'm saying so that it looks like a drawing rather than a photo. currently I'm using PSPX2.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI need to silkscreen an image, but can only do one solid color at a time. I'll have a black t-shirt, so that's one color, then red, green, pink and silver to screen onto the shirt. I can only do a max of 4 colors on one background.
here's the image: [URL] ........
How to break this down into 5 cells of color in GIMP? Then I can silkscreen it.
Back in Photoshop CS2 or CS3 I found a Plug-in for a Filter of a jigsaw puzzle piece. I am now using CS4 in Windows and am unable to find that plug-in any where. Can you tell me how I can get it back?

View 1 Replies View Relatedcreating your own templates for jigsaw puzzle pieces? So far, I can create these in CS6 (no longer seems to have Texturizer with a jigsaw puzzle texture like earlier PS versions) by using a single template (found with a YouTube video on this topic) for a specific number of pieces, confined to the one template.
Â
I would like to make jigsaw puzzles with a variety of pieces, so it would be useful if I could create my own templates with different numbers of pieces. There are PS plugins but these have costs associated with them, especially if used commercially. If possible, I'd rather create my own templates (in PS or AI). For example, I'd like to create an "easy" puzzle template with 20 pieces.
Â
If none exist, an option would be to re-install PS CS 4, 5 or 5.5, alongside CS6. Not sure which is the last version to have Texturizer with a jigsaw texture, but it may be CS4 (by additional download for CS5). But, not having seen or used it in earlier versions, I also wonder if it has sufficient configuration options to choose the number of pieces for a jigsaw? As mentioned, would like to create a range of templates all with different numbers of pieces.
For a promotional campaign I'm working on, I'd like to take a picture and "break it up" into puzzle pieces, then move those pieces around to mimic the look of them floating into place as the image is completed.
I have a great handle on the "move them around" and "float into place" parts, but I'm having no luck with the puzzle piece end of this, that I did previously using blocks. It's the right effect, but I really want that jigsaw puzzle look to this next one.
I use CS2 on Win XP SP2

I can create each section without background--put one page on top--flip the other(back side)--can peal the back forward and type is in correct position--can peal the front. Cant get them to peal together.
How to I make the two photos become a unit. and as I peal the front cover back--the back of the 1st page begins to show.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI spliced all the images, and then ..saved for web, now the question is how do I make it in to an actual website? Everything right now is just images, but how can I make the site actually editable through html, etc.
I also would like input on the site if you could. The main thing I don't like are the text on the buttons, I've downloaded a whole bunch of different fonts, but I can't find one that looks perfect.
I have built a new computer which uses a Gigabyte F2A85X-D3H motherboard. No additional graphics. Running Windows 7 with SP1. When I load Photoshop CS6 it gives an error message that it is disabling some graphics features.

View 9 Replies View RelatedYou're messing around with PS and you come up with something cool and you want to "save" what you did to create it again at a future date using actions. However, you didn't turn the "record" button on for the action pallete, but you have everything in the history pallete that you did.
Is there a way to "convert" or save the history of what I did as an executable action?
I am trying to determine the best approach to use to convert several psd files into html. I know I can slice the image up, using PS or ImageReady, but here are my questions:
The PSD files make up my entire site. My home page is a PSD, as is every other page. But each page has common elements. For example, my logo is the same, and it is in the same place on each page. I also have links that are common to all pages. If I slice up the first page, how can I be sure that I have sliced the second and subsequent pages the same way so I only can use 1 logo image for my site?
Is there a way to save the slice layout of one page and then import it into another page? That way, I would have precisely the same layout of the slices.
Does this make any sense, or is there a far better way to take a PSD and convert it to html?
In 2005, I purchased the entire Adobe Creative Suite 2 Premium. I really only needed and wanted Photoshop CS2, but for the extra money, I bit the bullet and got the rest thinking that I may end up using it. It worked great and still does, with the exceptions of the lack of support on Vista 64-bit and small issues with compatibility (interface, for example).
Photoshop CS4 came out. Awesome. I downloaded the trial version, saw how smooth it ran on my system, and enjoyed the new interface. Great. I am now a college student, and money isn't exactly abundant. I am very careful with my money. Photoshop is the tool I use to make money in web design and photography.
Just installed CS4 Master Suite and immediately experienced the kind of lag that is being described on this forum, and elsewhere.
Specs: EVGA 680i/E8400, 4Gb, ATI 4870 1Gb (8.12 driver - latest), Vista Ultimate 64-bit, OS/PS running off Velociraptor with 2nd Raptor for scratch file.
Turning OpenGL support in Preferences>Performance did nothing to solve the problem. This is even with Cache levels set to 8.
However, what did alleviate the issue was turning Aero *OFF* and reverting back to Windows Classic Theme.
- Right click on desktop
> personalize
> theme
> select "Windows Classic"
Changing themes from Vista->Classic *while* PS CS4 is open alleviates all lag.
Admittedly, I can't believe that Vista's Aero gets in the way *that* much - perhaps someone has found a way to tweak Aero settings.
