Photoshop :: 6.7 Camera RAW Preset Integration
Jun 2, 2013I have a set of RAW Presets that I am trying to get to work in my RAW window... They are all in there and I have followed all the instructions that came with the download, but when I go to apply them to an image I keep getting these pop-up blocks!
First, it says to change to '2012' so I do that, and then when I click them again under the 2012 setting it says to go back to using '2010'!!

Jul 16, 2012When I load an image either a jpeg or psd file then make a layer copy I am unable to apply a preset action to this. Either a default action or one of my own on a Mac OSX running Lion. This did not present a problem in CS5 and I am wondering if I've missed something basic?

Oct 11, 2012I want to create a batch action that will process raw files by setting their workflow resolution option and image settings in camera raw. I can create a batch action by recording an open command for a raw file, setting the workflow resolution and image settings, and then stopping the action recording.
This creates an open action which captures the resolution , images settings instruction , and other settings for camera raw, but it also captures the camera model and workflow options are specific to a camera model. If I then use the action on multiple raw files from different cameras, raw files from the camera specified in the 'open' step will get processed as I want, but raw files from any other camera model will get processed with whatever workflow resolution option was used the last time I manually opened a file from that model in ACR.
I tried recording an 'open' step by bringing raw files from 3 different cameras into ACR and selecting to open them in photoshop, but that created three 'open' steps, one for each camera model, in the action. Running that action produced three versions of every image from every camera model. No good.
How can I create an action that will set the workflow resolution option based on the camera model, when images from different camera models are being processed in the batch?
I am using PSCS5 and ACR 6.7

Nov 3, 2010I have a new notebook with intel I7 processor, 8 GB memory and 500 GB 7.200 drive. I captured successful the video from my Sony camera, cutted the video, produced a DVD and enjoyed afterwards the video. To back-up the video on a tape normally I generate a video file in my Video Studio x3 (latest version) and transfer it back to the tape on my video camera. This isn't working in the right way due to stuttering after 10-15 minutes transfering back. After restarting the transition the time until stuttering starts is then less then 10 minutes, next time less then 5 minutes.

Sep 6, 2012I am in the process of creating a Action/War scene where the characters will be still (Meaning not moving or frozen), but there will be a camera that moves/pans around them showing the different characters and the things they are doing. Now, I have two questions to this. Since there will be some weapons (mainly guns and such), is it possible to create a muzzle flash while making it appear frozen to the eye? As in making a muzzle flash and using only a piece of it (make in mid flash) and using that as the still visual effect. Can this be done? Because from what I remember...creating a Muzzle Flash requires particles, which has a moving animation to them.
My second question is....Which one would be better at making a actuate muzzle flash (in this case a still muzzle flash), PF Source or FumeFX? Which one would make a really actuate looking muzzle flash and while preserving a frozen action look?

I want to make a "look at" or similar, so that the object is always in center no mater where i move the camera. This works untill i connect the camera to a 3D path - then the aim follows the path - not the camera :-|

Dec 11, 2012I have a 3d scene (FBX) with a 3d camera, rendered 3d elements and filmed elements that need to be comped in a way that required some layers to respond to the 3d camera and some need to stay 2d. Because some of the 2d layers need to occlude layers in 3d space it is not practical to pre comp.
Is there way in Action to get a a layer to ignore a 3d camera or respond to a different camera? In AE for example you would toggle the 3d layer setting.
Also is there a way to make a layer auto orientate towards the camera?

Mar 25, 2013I am making an animation in Inventor Studio. I have created all my sequences for fading and constraint animations, and now I only need to move the camera around my assembly while zooming in and out with focus on the animations.
The way I have done it so far, is as following: Created a camera (Camera1).Set my view where I wanted the camera to start.Rightclick on Camera1 and set camera to view.Then go in a few seconds on my timeline, move my view to a new area and finally "Add camera action". I've done this a couple of times with success, but now I can't do it again.
As soon as I move my view to another area, and press "Add camera action", it does as intended, but now it zooms out, making the animated area small and hard to see. I want it to be zoomed in on a detailed area, but it's changing the view to the whole assembly.

May 11, 2013my PSE11 was working fine until i bought a new camera and tried to upload photos from my RAW files. It gave me this message

so i tried to install the update.... installed it fine, kept getting the same message when i would try to open the photo. after researching online i found the suggestion of uninstalling and reinstalling photoshop elements. i did that once, tried the update again...same results. uninstalled again. tried the update again and still getting the same message. ive checked the adobe website and everywhere i look says the version of the camera raw DOES support my camera (nikon D7100).

In this instruction, he takes images into Camera RAW and selects a tab called Profile, and it automatically detected the camera from metadata and made corrections.
I was sold, subscribed to Adobe Cloud, downloaded Photoshop and started following his tutorial. When I got to the lens correction part, my Camera RAW has no Profiles tab. Brown does say that you need the latest version, but I have assumed that since I just subscribed and downloaded, that I have that.

Photoshop :: No Action In My Action
Jul 11, 2007i am trying to build an action where the end product is a channel listing that has all the channel (R-G-B-L-C-Y-M-K (forget LAB a-b)). this will allow me to look at all the channels for contrast and subsequent extraction. i'm actually able to do this as i RECORD the action. but when i RUN the action, nothing happens.
in recording the action, i create a DUPLICATE IMAGE, then convert the new image to LAB. i then drag the "L" channel to the original image. it goes into the original image as an alpha channel which i rename to "Lightness." i then convert the duplicate image to CMYK and then one-by-one DRAG the individual channels to the original image. at the end of this process, i have all eight channels visible in the channels palette. this is what i want.
but then, when i RUN the action on a new image, the action fails to RECORD the "drag step and drop" step. the "L," "C," etc. channels are not dragged during the running of the action.
why does the "drag" step not record in the action
AutoCAD Inventor :: Studio Camera Animation - Camera Rolling On Selected Path
Jun 2, 2010For some reason when using the path option in inventor studio for camera animation the camera rolls for no reason?? I have created two helical curve sketches around my product, the outer curve is the path for the camera and the inner curve is the path for the target. Both curves are the same height and have 1 revolution. When i play the camera it works out fine untill it hits 1/4 of the way through and suddenly flips 180 degrees so now the camera is upside down, once it hits 3/4 of the way it flips back again to the correct rotation. If i dont create an inner curve for the target and place the target directly in the centre of my product with no path to follow the camera spins all over the place when it follows the curve.

Nov 25, 2008I shoot photos with a Nikon D2X and my wife uses a Nikon D70. If I open a D70 raw file, and then go to camera calibration, the profiles available are for various standard profiles and D2X profiles. The D70 profiles do not show in the drop down list. All of the profiles have been downloaded, from Adobe, and installed.
If I open a D2X raw file, the standard and D2X profiles are shown in the dropdown box.
Have I missed something in the installation? Do the profiles have to be loaded somehow?
Lightroom :: Camera Calibration - Specific Camera Models Not Listed
Dec 28, 2011I'm an amateur moving up to LR 3 and have been trying to learn this program by reading the LR3 book by Scott Kelby. He shows that the Camera Calibration feature has some settings for specific cameras yet the drop down menu has none listed. I've upgraded to 3.6 and the images were copied from raw to DNG.

Nov 23, 2013I am working on a project where I am incorporating 3d text into a shot with an onscreen talent speaking to the camera. I am trying to get the text to only move when the camera moves such as a pan or a hand held shake, making it look like it's part of the environment. It will track with the camera and looks great until my talent /subject moves, then the text moves with the subject. What am I doing wrong in my tracking? I have looked up tutorials and articles searching for others who have had this problem and cannot find anything that replicates my issue. Every tutorial I've seen does the same thing with fantastic results but I can never get the text to not move with my subject.
