Normally I do all of my initial editing in Raw Editor and then save the files to a 16-bit Photshop format file. In Photoshop, all my Nik and PhotoKit filters work fine as well as adjustment layers.
But when I try to use any of the tools, e.g. clone, healing, dodging, burning, all I get is a hand cursor on the photo and I cannot do whatever it is that I want to do with any of the tools. Am I missing something in the setup?
I was working on a scene and went to select the rotate tool and suddenly all the tools and the entire toolbar was gone! I tried un-checking and re-checking the main toolbar selection but to no avail. I am completely at a loss as to what to do since I can't choose my tools anymore! I put my tools back onto a custom toolbar but I can't find the dropdown box that you can choose what orientation the gizmos use (i.e. local, world,...) Without that toolbar, I really can't do anything and it would be nice to have all the tools back as I can't find half the ones that were there. As you can see in the picture, I put the tools I could find back in.

It says select object, but no matter what object I select eg. circle, pline or line, it says invalid selection. I am running AutoCAD 2012. Are 'shape' objects somehow different from any other objects?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have photoshop CS2 and photoshop 7.0. Sometimes when I go into edit a picture my erase, clone and other tools will not work. It shows up in history that i've used the tool but it doesn't alter the picture. I usually copy the background first then delete the locked background layer and work with the copy. This happens randomly. I must be missing something ( a setting, ??). I have uninstalled and reinstalled to make sure it was not a software issue. When I attempt to clone it just justs me a little cross next to where I'm trying to copy and never alters the pic.

View 10 Replies View Relatedfor a while now, my photoshop tools wouldnt work. it was only the tools that involved "painting" like the brush tool and quick select. after reinstalling, they would work but suddenly they'd stop again. eventually i figured out that it was the pen for my wacom tablet. every time i used the pen, it would make the mouse not work untill i reinstalled the program. this means that a setting changes (pen pressure or something) when i use the pen and it doesnt change back when i use the mouse. i cant deturmine which setting changes.

You can click and hold over them but the pop up with the other tools never displays. You can click on the black triangle on the lower-right corner or hold down, neither work. View 5 Replies View RelatedThe draw order toolbar icon is displayed on screen. When I try to change the draw order, I hit the toolbar and get an AI_Draworder unknown command. I even moved the toolbar in a different part of the screen. The only why I can now change the draw order on an entity is the type in the word draworder in the command line. Is there any way to reactiviate the draw order toolbar?

Since the background layer is locked, I duplicated the background and tried working in the unlocked layer. Still no luck. These tools were working fine before, and sometimes when I open PS they do. About a month ago she started to have problems getting selection tools and brushes etc. to work. None of those types of tools work at all now.
She has downloaded the latest upgrades. We have completely removed Photoshop from the computer, and reinstalled it twice. The computer is scanned for viruses and bots. All other applications work fine. She is now having to use my computer to complete her class work.
For some reason, the fill and stroke tools don't work, the Bucket fill doesn't work as well.I have checked "fill whole selection" box.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am starting to color some old line art (cartoons) but can't get any (eraser, brush etc) tools to work on the non background layer. I could just auto fill on the background but that is too finicky, too many open shapes that end up filling the whole page in that color! I want so that I can color in indiscriminately w/o worrying about covering my lines.
How come I can't get so that when I erase, I don't get the transparency checkerboard underneath? I put the BG layer on top then the erase tool does not work! What fundamental thing did I forget?

I just installed Lr4 with update 4.3. . First when i click a photo in develop mode it shows up very small. If I adjust the zoom the photo does erratic things. It gets big but with massive distortion then it will clear up but will have an effect like looking into a bunch of mirrers. Also i can not get the adjustment tools to work at all.

1) My line type no longer works (via layers or directly)
2) My text section within line properties no longer shows up in order to access 'text overide'
3) I can no longer change the line color.
I've tried to figure out the pattern of how the command works for inputting partial customization menu toolbar names but I'm unsuccessful.
You should be able to show and hide partial customization menu toolbars with the -toolbar command because it can hide all toolbars including my partial customization menu toolbars currently shown. I've tried the toolbar menu alias (defined in the CUI command) and the name (refer to this link to the same image embedded below) and none work.
I am trying to edit a JPEG. It is one layer. My mode is Normal with 100% opacity, 100% fill. The layer is not locked.
I can use several tools including move, magic wand, paint bucket, crop. However, I cannot use the eraser, paintbrush, healing tool, clone stamp (which is the one I desperately need to use) or many others.
i'm using my corelphoto paint x3 for a year now and it is working fyn then on one occassion i don't know but while editing an image, i suddenly discovered that my effect tools, paint tools, clone tools wont work or wont make changes on the image i'm editing... i've already checked the menus and settings but still no work..i also tried reinstalling the program but still it's all the same..

There seems to be way too many tools in the tools panel for me. Many of them I will rarely, if ever use. Is there any way I can rearrange or remove some of them? It would unclutter the screen immensely.
