When I use the magnifying tool (PS CS3) to zoom in on a section of a file, all the other files which are open in CS3, also zoom. When I unzoom the file I am working on, the other files stay zoomed until I manually change them back. This doesn't happen if I use control + to magnify - but using control + does not magnify the file in the specific part of the file I need. This is driving me batty. I think this started happening when a co-worker uploaded a folder from her external drive to my desktop. I did a system restore and this annoying problem stopped. She uploaded more files later and the problem came back. I also notice my folder settings getting rearranged after she uploads her files. Could this have anything to do with her running on a 64 bit Vista machine, and me on a 32-bit XP? Could this be triggering a preference change that I can just undo?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI upgraded from CS1 to CS4 yesterday and immediately encountered a problem with the way Photoshop (not Bridge) displays images to the monitor. At zooms of less than 200%, the image that appears is divided into squares in which the correct picture is displayed below each square's diagonal and solid vertical lines of color are displayed above the diagonal. I've checked jpeg, tiff, and psd files. At 200% or higher, everything is fine.

After adding a puppet warp mask over my layer I click to start adding pins and it automatically zooms in 100% around the first pin and changes the current layer I'm on to a 100% crop of what is around the pin. If I zoom out it just zooms out of my current cropped image. I cant pan or move around and if I apply the puppet warp it apply it to that small section that it just zoomed into. Very odd and I can't seem to find a work around. I've used puppet warp several times in CS5 and a few times in cs6 but this just started happening. 13.0.1 x64 Windows 8.

If I move the box and let go of space, it zooms to that location, but all I wanted was to move normally. I don't think I've ever wanted the zoom out, move, then zoom back in behavior.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have seen it in Dateline and 60 Minutes, they are highligting and article, e-mail or memo; the page zooms in and goes out of focus ( this is easy) but then an excerpt of the article rips out of the page and the important statement with jagged edges comes into focus. I have seen it several times so I don't know if it is just a plain graphic or an After Effex template. I have Google it and found nothing.

Software: AutoCAD 2014, AutoCAD C3D, AutoCAD M3D, Revit
Windows 7 (Ultimate 64 bits),
Firefox 20.0,
Kaspersky 2013.
I'm using AutoCAD 2011 and here is the situtation. I create a viewport. I zoom in to the scale I want to use. Once setup i click out into paperspace all is good. However if i do not lock the viewport, the moment i click back on it, the viewport automaticly zooms extents and screws up what i was trying to show . Is there a setting somewhere that should be set from 1 to 0 or a box not checked off that i'm missing?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble with the geo marker and the geographic settings. the file given to us has a pre defined grographic location, (which is incorrect) which is making the file zoom out a lot further than desired. I change the geographic location and the position of the geo-marker, but when I use zoom extends, it still zooms all the way out to the undesired distance. There is no "space junk" out that far, so I do not know what else it can be.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm in paper space, in a drawing I didn't create and, when I dbl. click in a viewport to open it and attempt a zoom, the entire paper space environment zooms, as if I was still in paper space, although the task bar tells me I'm in model space. Is this because the viewport is locked? If so, how do I unlock. I see nothing on screen regarding padlocks, except the tool bar/ window positions padlock.
If it makes a difference, I'm in Acad 2006, not 2006 T.
I have this HUGE maps I have to import to create pan and zooms. The file is a PNG with a resolution of 25000 x 16400px. Smoke doesn't play nice when I import this dil. It's all black and won't render. If there a max file resolution in Smoke? Or is it a problem with PNG files? (I tried with PSD adn it did the same).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a situation where the default behavior of my rectangle tool (or any of the other shape tools) is now different. I'm on Mac OS X 10.6.5 running Illustrator CS5. It acts as though the option-shift keys are pressed, so whenever I draw an object, it draws from the center point and the dimensions are constrained, so i can only draw a square or circle, not a rectangle or ellipse. Additionally, whenever I use the selection tool, it clones the object I drag, and also constrains the positioning, so i can only drag in a 0, 45 or 90 degree angle (or multiples thereof). It's as if my option-shift keys are permanently pressed (if I actually press option-shift, the behavior persists). I tried using a different (brand new) keyboard, tried throwing away preferences, and the problem remains. I also tried booting up Illustrator CS4, and the weird problem showed up there! This behavior just started happening spontaneously. I couldn't think of anything weird that happened (a crash, a new plug-in, etc.). I can't find a preference that sets this behavior either.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have lots of JPG files that are"sort of one-of. All I need to do is open, crop, and print. I am trying to set Photoshop CS6 as the default for opening JPG files. I got through the "Open with" process to specify C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64) bit/Photoshop.exe but it doesn't show up on the Open with list.
I have also been through the Control Pane > Default Programs > Set Acccociations which takes to the Open with window. I select there and get the same result; i.e., Photoshop CS6 never shows up on the list of programs.
Why ACR is set to 240 ppi by default? Isn't 300 ppi the optimum setting for printing purposes? Is there a good reason, or reasons, why Adobe chose 240 ppi as the default setting?
I'd like to know if it is advisable to change ACR's settings from this default 240 ppi to 300 ppi. I know any perceived difference, when it comes to printing images, may be negligible, but why not, if it is just a matter of simply changing it to 300 ppi permanently?
I am uneasy about changing this, however, until I find out a lot more about it, as I want the best quality, and if there are undesirable consequences by changing ACR to 300 ppi that I am not aware about, and, therefore, why Adobe have it set it to 240 ppi, then I'll leave it at the default setting.
what version of PS CS4 will open when double clicking a PS linked file (aka PSD, TIFF, etc)?
I have to open the 32-bit version first just to make sure the files open in the correct version of the program.
I downloaded my old 7.0 to my new computer.
The program works fine but I can't open a file directly from the HD. It asks me what program I wish to open it with and Adobe 7.0 is not an option so I go to "browse" and locate the Adobe file, click on it but it still doesn't add it on as an option. Image ready is an option allready but I want to use Photoshop. When I have the 7.0 running, I can open a file from there by going to "file" then "open" but I can't directly open a file from the hard drive.
I'm planing to buy CS3 but I'm trying to figure out how to make what I have right now work.
I know it is suppose to open the last font you used when you launch photoshop but I have never used Myriad Pro in my life, no offence to neither Robert Slimbach nor Carol Twombly. The font I primarily use is the Sans. There is no reason I should have to reset my font every time I launch. Why would this not be an option in the preferences? Photoshop CS6.

I am working on numerous 3D renders at the moment, all will have the same lighting, colours, focal length / DOF, position etc. The only thing that will change is the 3D object itself (vector smart object text with an icon).
Now, when I have finished rendering one, save it then want to change the image in the smart object (edit source), save to update - this will not update the 3D layer! Ideally this is the workflow I would like to use, but it just won't work. I now have to replicate all the settings on a new 3D extrusion from a layer...
Is there a way to set it so when I do create a new extrusion from a layer, it would default to the used settings?Or can I fix it so the smart object actually updates?
Whether I'm creating a new document or working on an old document, I keep seeing this number in the text leading box instead of "auto." It's really annoying when the text wraps and it's inside the previous line, and I have to fix it every single time. How can I make it stop doing this?
