View 10 Replies99% of my images end up at 6" X 4". now, for every image, i goto image-->image size and then insert the 6 X 4 numbers. is there a way to make 6 X 4 the default so that i don't have to do this each time i process an image?
View 2 Replies View RelatedCurrently I import raw images to my desktop, view in Bridge, make adjustments in Raw then batch process within photoshop, into JPG's.
The jpg resolution is always 240 pixels/inch How can I manually change the default image size??
Where in my work flow should this be set? In Photoshop, Raw image converter or bridge? I am using CS 4.
I am in the habit of processing large numbers of jpeg images for use in slide shows. When I come to signing the images I almost always use size 14, sometimes size 12, for my name print. But the size that sets seems to vary, usually coming up as size 18 and forcing me to change down to 14 eah time before signing the image. How do I go about locking in size 14 as the automatic default?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded from CS6 to CC. When I open a psd file, it opens at 100%, but the window is small with scroll bars. I have plenty of screen real estate, so that's not the problem. I have looked everywhere and can't find how to make the default 100% showing the entire image.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to see if there is a shortcut or way to save my images to the size I want on the SAVE FOR WEB feature
For faster downloads I like to shrink my images to to 800 X 600 - so once I'm done editing them I hit "Save for Web" and then input those figures manually.
Now is there a way to program my Save for Web command so the images are automatically resized to 800 X 600 ? This would save me one step and speed up my work.
When I drag a photo file to Photoshop, it opens in a size significantly smaller than the workspace. (This is especially true with vertical [portrait] photos.) Therefore, every time I open a photo (and I do this typically hundreds of times a day...), I have to drag the lower right corner way out to enlarge the frame, and then I have to scroll the mouse wheel to make the picture expand to (approximately) fill the frame. Only then can I see it well enough to make the required ajustments to the file. Isn't there a way to tell Photoshop how large I want the photos to appear in the workspace, so it opens every new photo file to the same size? I am using Photoshop CS (not CS2 or CS3).

Is there a way to set these defaults?
why 25.5 by 33 inches has become the default page size in Draw? It's set at letter but the ruler shows otherwise and the snapping function is totally gone.
This happened yesterday as I was creating a custom document- I wound up uninstalling the whole suite and reinstalling today and within half an hour it happened. (after editing a bitmap from within Draw).
i recently upgraded from 2006 to 2008, and am having a strange problem. when i open anything such as the xref manager or quick select window, i resize the window and the next time i open it, back to the default size and position.

I have just switched to using Xara Photo and Graphic Designer 6 for my graphics design needs. Is there any way to create a default page size so that no matter when the program is opened it will always open up to that particular page size?
I am used to working and creating on a full "blank canvas" or pasteboard, rather than using page sizes that Xara seems to prefer. Every time I open the program I have to return to page options to re-set all of my workspace parameters and it gets frustrating after awhile.
For example, my preferred page settings are as follows: Page Size=A0 (which provides me all white space to work in); Outer Margin=0in [8in is always automatically pre-set by the program]; and I always choose Landscape, but the automatic pre-set is always Portrait.
There should be a way for the user to control how the workspace appears each time the program is opened, but how to make my page settings "once" and then have those settings be the default from there on out. It's just time consuming to go into Options every time I open the program and have to re-set everything all over again.
How can you do this? I generally create images of a different size than that so it would be really useful to be able to change it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI see a "new printing UI" is scheduled for v4, so maybe this will be included in that anyway, but a quick request: it'd be great of PDN would honour the default paper size when printing. I currently need to change from Letter to A4 (which isn't even on the "most popular" list, so it needs a further click to choose "other" first), despite this being the default paper size for the printer selected.
Either using the default paper size of the selected printer, or failing that, remember the previously selected paper size in PDN would save a good amount of frustration for those of us in Europe where A4 is the usual paper size ;-)
Every new document seems to open with a default text size of 12 pt. (or 0.167 inches). I am a sign maker and my typical artboard size is often 120" x 120" or larger.
Is there a way to change the default text size so that new documents open with a text size of, say, 1 inch (or 3 inches, etc)?
I've read several things in this forum but nothing convenient. In the past I though I was possible to change the stroke thickness with no document open and that worked for all the new documents yet to come. Well, it doesn't. The default stroke size is 1pt and I want it to change to f.e. 0,25pt. But how?

Also, when i export to jpg the preset displays "custom" with cmyk color selected. My computer is having a hard time with designs of any size and takes forever to load the preview and export. When it finally loads the preview the design is not visible. if I select rgb color mode the design appears in the preview window and appears to load without any issues. I would like to make rgb the preset color mode. I have tried to select one of the default presets (high quality jpg) and save it but can't seem to figure out how to make it the default setting when i export to jpg.
I can't get the box to pop up where I can set the default size because I think I checked the box to not show it again. How to get it back?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI need to "Programatically", using Visual Studio, set the default printers paper size to either "A4" or "A3".
I have the following code that gets the required paper size ("A4" or "A3") from the registry and checks that the default printer supports "A3". If it does I want to set the paper size to "A3".
Here is my code so far.

Public Class Form1
Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load

For Counter = 0 To PrintDialog1.PrinterSettings.PaperSizes.Count
PrinterPaperSize = PrintDialog1.PrinterSettings.PaperSizes.Item(Counter).PaperName
If PrinterPaperSize = SetPaperSize Then
' MsgBox(SetPaperSize) HERE IS WHERE I NEED THE CODE TO SET THE PAPER SIZE
Exit For
End If
Next

Can I drag it to a new size and make that stick, a variable set differently perhaps, or is something more sophisticated involved?
