View 3 RepliesI have this picture, of course a jpeg, so the quality sucks, and i'm having problems selecting the two girls' hair. It blends into the background to where i almost have an impossible time seeing it at all but if i just cut it out it doesn't look natural anymore.
View 7 Replies View Relatedive been trying to select just the dog from this image for a while now. i played with the channel mixer and found that at high contrast the red channel allowed me to select the dog best, but i still am having great difficulty with the dogs hair out around her legs and head. how would you go about it? it might not be the best image for this as the chair is brown and also the dog is brown.
View 2 Replies View Relatedhow to change hair color and select it to modify it. I've tried using magic wand laso tools.. I know that if you make a selection you can modify color in hue/saturation but I can't seem to figure out a easy way to select and work just with the hair and coloring just hair. working mac pscs2.

I have a photograph with a women that has brown/reddish hair against a maroon colored background and I'm having trouble keying her out. I've tried the Refine Edge tool and played with all the settings and it isn't working very well.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am newbie in photoshop. I am using CS4. I have a picture with my daughter i just want to edit and replace new background but there some portion in the picture its hard for me to remove colors to the hair. i just want to retain tiny hair without erasing totally.I used pen tool to crop it.
View 1 Replies View Relatedusing CS4, I know there is probably no easy answer but how do remove background from fine hair? Currently I erase most of the background with a wand and then zoom in and use the eraser.Â
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have CS6. Having trouble removing a background where part of the backgrouond is almost exactly the same color as the subject's hair. I've tried the refine edge tool- I get yucky greyed areas in the one spot where the hair & the similar background color meet. I have tried to use channels, but I am not very skilled in that yet.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have this image: [URL].......
I would like to remove the background from that. I read few tutorials but they have one color(shades of color) background and quite good contrast. They make hair white and bg. black. But in my image some hair are black and some white and they overlap each other. I found great plugin to Photoshop named Topaz Remask 3, but I haven´t PS.
Any method in GIMP that can be used for cutting out flowing "Blonde" hair from a Multicoloured background using the "Channels". It seems that it can be done using Photoshop, but there do not seem to be any tutorials around for GIMP. There are heaps for cutting out dark coloured hair from all sorts of backgrounds but nothing to cut out flowing blonde hair from a multicoloured background.

I've tried lighting up the shadows with the curves option then using the selective color option. But all that does is make a very fake looking film to put over the eyebrows (ya it's eyebrows I'm working on, I'm trying to get them to match a white wig the subject is wearing.)
I've also tried using the solid color option, and a color overlay and that just came out weird.
Has anyone ever turned pitch black hair to white and had it still look like hair?
identify this curly cue font?
I know it is a public font...
I had it installed on an older Windows system...
I found this image on an inspiration gallery, but I have seen these little swirls everywhere. How would I go about making these?

I selected an object (a hand) using the magic wand tool and filled it in, black. I want to select everything else in the image (other then the hand I just filled in), and fill it in white. What is the bes way of going about this? Can I fill in the hand white, and so some kind of inverse of the image? (The background is of an office, so lots of different colors and objects).

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I open a picture in photoshop, any picture, I see the picture and all around it is a background color. It has nothing to do with the picture or any work being done on the picture. This has to do with the color that comes up on the screen regardless of the picture. It was black and I hit something and it is now blue. I want this to go back to black.Â
Â
I tryed clicking on the link below, selecting black for a background color and clicking and nothing changes.Â
How do you select an object with a complicated background. For instance if I want to select a pine tree in forest and the tree is in the foregrond and there are trees of the same color in the background, I have found it hard to select because of the similar colors...all of the tutorials I have seen all have a single color back ground ie a girl with hair and doing a refind edge is pretty straight forward....but how do you do that with a busy background..(for instance ) I want to select a pine tree with all of it componets and plant it in the middle of the desert.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a gif with a image and my ultimate goal is to save the image only, change the color of this image and put it on a background image in a repeated pattern. I've been looking at the tile tutorials for the pattern, but the image comes out horribly distorted and without space in between. The background itself is a gradient color (another 2 hour adventure) so I need the image without any background.

I have a transparent PNG file that I want to overlap onto a background and be able to fill the transparent areas of the PNG with the background. I know you can do it for text but I can't figure out how to do it for images.
See my examples. M1.png is my transparent file. (not sure why the image is showing in black) I want to overlay this PNG on a background and have it come out looking similar to image m.jpg

View 7 Replies View RelatedYou know how when you're painting, you can hold ALT and it will pick a colour from the canvas? Well, for some reason, mine still picks up the colour but it sets it to the background colour instead of the foreground colour.
And when I actually select the colour picker tool, it will only select the background colour but when I hold Alt, it selects the foreground colour. Basically it's flipped where it's supposed to select.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem with a delay in selecting an object and selecting a command.
When I select an object the pointer has at least a 3 second delay before it starts moving around normally again. It is the same with selecting a command. This has started to get tedious. It has worked fine in the past so I don't think it is a RAM/graphics card problem.
