Photoshop :: Selecting Color Triggers F1 Key In CS4?

This problem happens when I am using a brush and try to select a foreground color by clicking on the "Set Foreground Color" in the toolbox. The "Color Picker" appears, I choose a color, click "OK," and then a never-ending number of Firefox windows begins to open with the Photoshop help page (as if I repeatedly pressed the F1 key extremely quickly). I have to Ctrl-Alt-Del and quit Firefox or the opening of windows won't stop.
This doesn't happen every time I use the color picker to select a foreground color, but whenever it happens, that's what I'm doing.
I'm using Windows XP Pro x64 with 6GB RAM, Photoshop CS4, and a Wacom PTZ-631W tablet.

You know how when you're painting, you can hold ALT and it will pick a colour from the canvas? Well, for some reason, mine still picks up the colour but it sets it to the background colour instead of the foreground colour.
And when I actually select the colour picker tool, it will only select the background colour but when I hold Alt, it selects the foreground colour. Basically it's flipped where it's supposed to select.

Why when I use green for foreground color and go to Fill and use the option of Foreground color the selection is filled with black? Also why when I open a file with a green square, it also turns to black? And since I am asking questions, how do I get back the ability to get content and search within photoshop, instead of always being directed to Adobe online? I am using CS5.

when you make a localized brush adjustment, selecting tint you could chose the opposite LAB color from the picker.And I explain my self why do I need that.When I try to correct color temperature I can use the temp color but this will affect all the image and some times I need to correct color temperature only from a part of the image. The easiest way from me to do this is to pick the color zone that I want to correct and see what LAB color do I get. For example I could get an orange color like L=89, A = - 6 , B= +72. To correct color the only thing that I have to do, is to tint the desire zone with the oppositeLAB color, in this case L=89 , A = +6 , B = -72 witch is a blue color, and then applyopacity to get the desire look

When I open a picture in photoshop, any picture, I see the picture and all around it is a background color. It has nothing to do with the picture or any work being done on the picture. This has to do with the color that comes up on the screen regardless of the picture. It was black and I hit something and it is now blue. I want this to go back to black.
I tryed clicking on the link below, selecting black for a background color and clicking and nothing changes.

When I have an color image I sometimes need to select a certain color from all the image. Is there a way with Photoshop CS2 to make this selection so the program figures out which areas have the same color specified and select it also? (did I explained myself?)
In other words if I want to select, say dark red in all the spots with the same color range, can I make the first selection of the color anywhere in the image and then use any selection option so it selects all similar colors?

how to change hair color and select it to modify it. I've tried using magic wand laso tools.. I know that if you make a selection you can modify color in hue/saturation but I can't seem to figure out a easy way to select and work just with the hair and coloring just hair. working mac pscs2.

I cannot get a color balance adjustment layer to come up. Every time I do photoshop creates a levels layer. Selecting levels makes a levels layer. All of the other adjustment layers seem to be working normally.
How do I fix this? I have a deadline and no time to be reinstalling photoshop.

In Photoshop, there is a SELECT/COLOR RANGE tool that allows the selection of Highlights, Shadows, etc. Is there anything comparable in PSP X6? This would be very useful when trying to adjust for example blown highlights.

I have a few sites that I use just to keep FeatureLines that I'm using for construction and don't want them interacting with anything in other sites. Of the when I draw an FL in one of those sites I'll get a message such as "Updating 286 points". This takes over 2 minutes to accomplish.
Since I don't have a lot of FeatureLines in the sited I wouldn't expect it to take that long. If it were a complicated site I might not think anything of it. If I add another FL I will still get the same message with the same # of points. So it isn't based on the number of vertices in the FL in that site or it would increase after adding each FL. There is no Surface that uses these FL. So It isn't updating a TIN.

BTW. If I delete the FL I don't get any message or lag.

Trying to troubleshoot a weird issue w/ Lightroom 5.3 on a PC. Updated my current catalog and wanted to import a couple of old catalogs to consolidate images. The first two of the old catalogs updated and imported just fine, previews were merged, data seamlessly integrated -- all good. But the third catalog is giving me no end of grief. It goes through the update process to be LR5 compatible, but when I say "import everything" on the list of found images/folders, it tries for a bit, then fails out with "unknown error". This happens regardless of what I pick from that catalog -- even a single folder. It also happens if I export a sub-catalog from the old catalog and try to import that. But the updated catalog runs just fine on its own.
I've tried optimizing the offending catalog and checked for any possible issues with folder names, missing images, incompatible formats etc. etc.
I'm reluctant to try the "reverse" operation and import my main catalog back into the old, "challenged" catalog for fear of future corruption.

my corel crashing every time I try to select the color palette menu in the window dropdown, try to change the palette in the solid fill color window, and also in the outline color window. I have tried changing the color preset, reinstalling, resetting to defaults, am updated to the newest version (15.2.0.686), installing the hot fixes, blah, blah blah....... everything.
Win7 sp1, 12 gigs ram, i5 64 bit.

What i do is use the direct selection tool and click an anchor and then click the eyedropper tool on that anchor point What is happening is the the outline color is being selected. So i found out Illustrator CS6 you have to hold shift while clicking the eyedropper. I tried that and still can't get the color of the underneath layer, the fill color stays white? Here is pic:
As you can see in the navigator window, the shade of red is that of the outline and not the apple underneath the outline. I tried shift+eyedropper and white is the only color that get's sampled.

I am setting up template .ipts and .idw for my company, and i run Adept to save and store my files. Now i have a code to automatically make a .idw after i save an .ipt. but then after every save (adept saves the .ipt a lot of times) it will ask to make a drawing for the .ipt. well i was wondering if there is a code to put in a rule to disable the event triggers, and place that rule on the trigger after close document. so that the next time i open the document no event triggers will work.

So the other day I set up an external rule and created an event trigger to run the rule on save. It worked great ... for a couple days, and then it just stopped working yesterday. I can still run the rule manually and it works fine, but it doesn't seem to run automatically anymore on file save. Yes, iLogic is set to Loaded / Automati in the add-ins panel.
(on the iLogic rule attachment, remove .TXT from the end. I had to add that due to the board's rules about file types.)

I like being able to loop the animation in Edge so it will play continually. But coordinating an edge animation with a number of different layers for each object makes me want to be able to loop each layer. Right now it seems you can only insert an action trigger in the general timeline. Is it possible to insert action triggers to individual layers?
For example, I made this animation for my illustrator portfolio page [url]....
I have set up layers for each color, and layers for each texture. Right now it cycles through them in a regular pattern. But I'd like to set individual loops for each color and texture layer so that the animation varies a little.

I'm having a problem with Adobe Illustrator CC 17.1.0 with colors, types and groups.
If I select a text or a group and try to change its color, the Fill color stays correct a the panel, but the text or the group maintains the old color, like the screenshot below.
The only way to change color its is selecting all text characters or all group's elements.

I have created a very basic reactor as a test. As you can see, it doesn't actually do anything other than set a variable so I know the error isn't caused by something I'm doing with the reactor.

OK, so the problem I have found is that if I load this reactor into a drawing and then use the MVSETUP command but escape out without completing the command, AutoCAD throws an error and becomes unusable. When I then close AutoCAD down I am met with multiple unhandled exception errors before the app finally closes.
I then altered the reactor from a vlr-command-reactor to a vlr-editor-reactor and found that with this, I am no longer met with the same error while escaping out of MVSETUP. However, when I close CAD down I am eventually left with an 'AutoCAD Application has stopped working' error dialog on screen which reports that acad.exe as crashed.
I am working on AutoCAD Architecture 2012 (although I have tried it on 2013 to with the same results) on Windows 7 64bit. I have also tried this on ACA2012 x32 and found the same error exists.
I am doing something fundamentally wrong in the way I am handling reactors?

I don't know how to connect Edge and Author in this way. How can I do something in Edge that references something in author?

I am having a problem with a delay in selecting an object and selecting a command.
When I select an object the pointer has at least a 3 second delay before it starts moving around normally again. It is the same with selecting a command. This has started to get tedious. It has worked fine in the past so I don't think it is a RAM/graphics card problem.

OK, today, or actually just this afternoon I've noticed it has become much harder to select items with the mouse.
Points, nodes, etc...anything where you'd typically hover the mouse over the item and it highlights for you to select it.
For example, lets say you want to project a point from another sketch, or select the center node of a line, etc.
Never really had an issue until this afternoon where now it seems I have to be right on top of the item and I cannot budge one bit or it won't select it. It is now taking me numerous attempts to select things like points (zooming in does not work, points scale accordingly).
Is there a setting somewhere? I can't seem to find such under Tools>Application Options and the like.
