Photoshop :: Save For Web / Color Table Problem

Aug 3, 2007

I have simple but very troubling problem. I have some vector text over a wood-texture background. I crop it and go to "Save for Web." I use the preset "PNG 8 128 Dithered."

Now, I want to get rid of the most of the background (but keep a touch of brown surrounding the text) by making it transparent. I hold down SHIFT and select the darker hues (see Screenshot #1). Then I click "Map Selected Colors to Transparency."

Photoshop :: Creating A Color Table For Print, Color Standards

Mar 20, 2007

I was wondering what is the best way to save a photoshop file such as a business card or stationary labels so they "KEEP" their color you see on screen.

I am already building in CMYK mode. My Client has a nice gray scale scheme but I am worried that the print shop will mess up the colors.

How do I create a custom set of colors and adhere to that scheme throughout the clients stationary and media.
ie. Cards, Labels, Signs, etc.

Is there an option to print a color scale along with the image, sorta like when you calibrate your printer?

Photoshop :: Photo Losing Color / Contrast When Using (save As) To Save It?

Apr 16, 2013

When I first started using CS6 I would edit my photos and when I used "save as" to save my photos then open them in a different photo viewer they would have lost a lot of color and contrast. When I reopened them in CS6 they still had no color. This is all occured on my PC. I used to use PSE 7 (on my PC) and the "save as" function to save them and they turned out fine. I recently got an iMac and when saved on there the same way and reopened in a different viewer they'd have the correct color,

but when opened on my PC the color would be lost again. Also tried opening the images I saved on my PC in CS6 on the iMac and they still had no colo/contrast. So that would mean it's not a monitor calibration thing. I'm trying to figure out how to save my photos so they have the best quality they can have for printing and also the correct color for clients to view on their computers.

PS: I did use the "save for web" option on my PC and the photos have the correct color that way! But those aren't the proper size and stuff for printing. Also I'm very new to iMac and full photoshop so I'm not sure what sizes/pixels/color modes/etc are normal or what photos are supposed to be.

Photoshop :: Print A Custom Color Table?

May 2, 2011

Is there any way to print a custom color table without having to either spend $500+ on a plugin or having to draw each color and label by hand?

I regularly create color tables from images, convert to .aco or PS color palettes. Lately I have needed larger palettes and the process of creating these by hand is grueling.

I don't understand why this bug is still around. But you just gotta close down the SAVE FOR WEB palette and then try again and again until it decides to load the palette.

Is there a REFRESH PALETTE button somewhere?

AutoCAD 2010 :: Enabling Table Breaks Slows Drawing Save To A Crawl

Dec 28, 2010

I have a data-linked table (from an Excel 2007 file, 32-bit) in an Autocad 2010 drawing (64-bit, Windows 7 OS).

If the table is displayed as a single column, with table breaks off, the file will save within seconds.

If I enable table breaks, it will take at least 3-5 minutes for the drawing file to save.

I am unable to find any solution. I've tried using different table styles, different linked files/drawings, saving locally vs. on the network, headers and titles repeating vs not. The slowness is a major productivity killer.

CorelDRAW X5 :: Color Table Creator Macro?

Sep 27, 2010

I'm sure there are many of you out there that at least every once in a while struggle to match a certain color - as CLOSE as possible.  You can tweak your RIP settings, color management settings, etc but often I find myself just generating some random color samples to get the closest color.  I have CMYK charts printed off, but they are only going to show so many colors, you know?  What I am looking for (and will pay good money for, too - Nazdar's Catzper software does something along these lines, but is much too complex with Lab values, etc and lists for $295) is a macro that will take a color swatch and generate a bunch of other color swatches (maybe by user preference?) just adding and subtracting C M Y K - you print this off and pick the closest color!  Thereby making it a 1-step operation instead of back-and-forth many-step operation. I have to admit, we are very picky about matching colors here.

Paint.NET :: Wooden Table - Blending Color Into Image

Apr 12, 2013

You have an image of a wooden table, but would like the table to be a bit redder. So you would select the table and use a "blend with color" tool that would work like a bucket, but instead mix the default color of the table(or the selection) with the color you pick.So you pick red and... You got yourself the same table only instead of it being wood-brown, its reddish wood-brown.

I mean, if on makes a fit-hole then automatically it appears in red. All threads he makes are in yellow and so on. Is there a chance to make a feature-based color-table in inventor and if it is so.

CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Macro To Change Text Color In A Table

Apr 5, 2011

BDTableTextColour_v3h.gms

I have attached a free macro to change the text color of cells in a table. Without the macro there is currently no way to select more than one cell and change the text color.

The macro allows the user to either:

click on a table (to select it) and then apply a new color to ALL text in the table; or choose a new color from the macro from, select some cells in a table and then apply that color to the text in those selected cells

Please note in step 2 it is important you choose the new color first and then select the table cells. If you do it the opposite way around, while choosing a colour you will deselect the selected cells and apply color to all of the text in the table.

Photoshop :: Save For Web Color Matching

When doing a skin for a forum, I didn't use the web colors palette, and after I had sliced the whole thing up and went to export to web as a JPEG, it looked like that... horrifying, ugh. Thing is, when I do a Save As and save as a JPEG, it retains the original colors.

Is this just something I can't change in PS/ImageReady, or can I somehow change the save for web color space it uses? I'd really like to use the original colors, steel just doesn't fly with aqua.

AutoCAD 2010 :: Explode Excel Table But Keep Table-layout And Texts

Mar 14, 2013

In our company, we put Excel tables in our drawings. The reason we've chosen for Excel-tables is that we can adjust the layout of the table quite easily. These tables consist of grouped cells in a particular company-specific layout. We select the range of the desired cells, copy and paste them in our AutoCAD drawing. This drawing is sent to our customers. The disadvantage of this method is, that when our customers (who use CAD-software of other brands) open the dwg, they don't see the table, but some kind of picture of the table.

Is there a way to 'explode' the excel-table, but keep the specific layout of the table? For attributes in blocks there's the 'Explode Attributes'-command in the Express-tools, but is there something similar for Excel-tables?

Photoshop :: Color Fading When Using Save For The Web Feature

May 10, 2004

I've been using PS7 on my Mac OX 10.2.8 for some time now and it's worked well. The images I work on in PS7 look bright and true but now, all of a sudden, when I choose the "save for the web" feature, the image appears washed out. And continues to look washed out when I place in my pbase gallery. This is a new event.

The only thing I've done recently was tweak with some Adjustment levels using Scott Kelby's "The Photoshop Book for Digital Photographers." Everything looks great on my screen until I now use that one feature (which never affected the color saturation before.) I would think that doing any number tweaking would affect the image all the way throughout PS, not just when I use this one feature.

Can someone offer some places and numbers to look for that might be affecting how my images appear on line? Maybe I should go back to all the defaults?
