When I try to save an image for web, it fades all the colors considerably ...
I've been using PS7 on my Mac OX 10.2.8 for some time now and it's worked well. The images I work on in PS7 look bright and true but now, all of a sudden, when I choose the "save for the web" feature, the image appears washed out. And continues to look washed out when I place in my pbase gallery. This is a new event.
The only thing I've done recently was tweak with some Adjustment levels using Scott Kelby's "The Photoshop Book for Digital Photographers." Everything looks great on my screen until I now use that one feature (which never affected the color saturation before.) I would think that doing any number tweaking would affect the image all the way throughout PS, not just when I use this one feature.
Can someone offer some places and numbers to look for that might be affecting how my images appear on line? Maybe I should go back to all the defaults?
Photoshop CS3 Extended running on Windows XP Professional:
Using a new default size blank page - I want to start at the top with one color - gradually lighten toward the middle then gradually fade into another color (like from violet to light blue).
i need to make his image into a site.. now i got some ?'s
he is using it for wallpapers, he wants the wallpapers part of the main image on its own layer, so that it is translucent then when you go over it, it will go to full color (no tranparency). do i have to do this as a gif and make it a rollover or something, do i need to make it a seperate image?
I am trying to gain assistance with typing up my xbox live gamertag, and making the letters fade from one color on one side, to another color on the other side. Im new to paint.net, but ive been trying my best

Or is there an effect that has a saturation control so I can add it as an effect and keyframe it's levels from there?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I first started using CS6 I would edit my photos and when I used "save as" to save my photos then open them in a different photo viewer they would have lost a lot of color and contrast. When I reopened them in CS6 they still had no color. This is all occured on my PC. I used to use PSE 7 (on my PC) and the "save as" function to save them and they turned out fine. I recently got an iMac and when saved on there the same way and reopened in a different viewer they'd have the correct color,
but when opened on my PC the color would be lost again. Also tried opening the images I saved on my PC in CS6 on the iMac and they still had no colo/contrast. So that would mean it's not a monitor calibration thing. I'm trying to figure out how to save my photos so they have the best quality they can have for printing and also the correct color for clients to view on their computers.
PS: I did use the "save for web" option on my PC and the photos have the correct color that way! But those aren't the proper size and stuff for printing. Also I'm very new to iMac and full photoshop so I'm not sure what sizes/pixels/color modes/etc are normal or what photos are supposed to be.
I'm using PS7.
When I save an image for the web, say the initial color is #020202, going through the save for the web menu, placing my cursor over the same area to look at the color and its changed to #535556.
It makes my image look kinda grey.
In this lesson we will consolidate code to prevent code reuse. Follow along as we demonstrate by doing the following and more:
Apply a color to a form command button, loop form controls, and save and get the color from registry

Hey, I made something in photoshop cs but everytime I save it ((No matter what format)) it comes out a total washed out color.
This is the color it is supposed to be.
When doing a skin for a forum, I didn't use the web colors palette, and after I had sliced the whole thing up and went to export to web as a JPEG, it looked like that... horrifying, ugh. Thing is, when I do a Save As and save as a JPEG, it retains the original colors.
Is this just something I can't change in PS/ImageReady, or can I somehow change the save for web color space it uses? I'd really like to use the original colors, steel just doesn't fly with aqua.
My file is in sRGB profile, when I go to Save for Web, the color changes as seen below (the sky is not as blue for example). How to make the color not change?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have simple but very troubling problem. I have some vector text over a wood-texture background. I crop it and go to "Save for Web." I use the preset "PNG 8 128 Dithered."
Now, I want to get rid of the most of the background (but keep a touch of brown surrounding the text) by making it transparent. I hold down SHIFT and select the darker hues (see Screenshot #1). Then I click "Map Selected Colors to Transparency."
I have seen a number of photos with a fade in the edges, eg
a picture of a person with a white background, and the edge faded to brend in with the background.
Anyone know of a good technique to have on pic blend into another. I don't have any good examples, but what I'd like to do is have a pic on the left side fade at the halfway point to a pic on the left. I know photoshop does it with colors, but not sure how to do it with pictures of objects.

View 9 Replies View RelatedWell, it looks like I edited an image in ProPhoto RGB and now when I save as JPEG I get a color change (always looks warmer, like a change in white balance.)
When I convert to another profile, the color change. Is there anyway to either convert and get my colors back or as to JPEG with the color's I'm getting in photoshop? What is odd is I'll see a nice white background in PS and even in the thumbnail. But if I open it in anything but PS I get color change.
I'm trying to edit this theme, but so far it has only given me pain in the head. I know how to edit the colors and everything from the css file and theme.php file, but what I'm very frustrated about at the moment is the fading colors. This is the theme I'm trying to edit: ....

View 3 Replies View RelatedI created a lovely new image for my website using Photoshop CS. It's a very vivid, colorful design. I would like to use it as a background for my business card but it needs to be faded. I've futzed (a real techie term!) with the hue/saturation and the brightness/contrast but can't seem to find a 'washed out'look i'm going after. Any suggestions?
