Photoshop :: Print Small 4 By 3.25 Tag
Jul 15, 2013I am trying to print a small 4 by 3.25 tag. When folded its 2 by 3.25. However, no matter now high the DPI is set, it still comes out blurry.

View 5 Replieswe have been saving super high resolution images in Photoshop by doing a "print to pdf" as we call it. You print the document, but rather than selecting an ordinary printer, you select Adobe PDF. Within the page layout of that printer, you can specify the resolution and document size to print/save, etc. I love it because you don't loose any of the integrity of the image, but the file size always ends up being in the kilabytes, rather than megs. At home, I don't seem to have that printer as an available option. I don't do the installations at my office, so I'm not sure if there is a driver that I need to install, or does that driver only come with Creative Suite?Â
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am working on a project that is a large print of about 30 inches wide and 20 inches in height.
(I just wrote a big post but for some reason when I tried posting it the forum logged me off and it didnt post so I wont get too detailed here.)
Basically I need to print the image for example using 9 piece of normal paper and stick it together with transperant tape to make a large image.
Is there a way to do this without the need to cut the borders on each page, I really would like to print borderless pages and not cut them.
I have the 2013 civil 3D version. I am doing a site plan for school, and would like to print it out so that everything shows up clearly.
I would like to print it on a 24x36 sheet, so I have set up my page to that size. When I maximize my viewport to the page borders so that the viewport is at its largest and scale the viewport so that the entire site plan fits in the viewport, everything shows up so small in the print preview screen. The annotations show up as black bars and I can only read them if I zoom in. I have limited access to printing so I want to make sure I get it right! Will I be able to read the annotations and hatching once it has printed? Even though I can't read them in the print preview or layout without zooming in?
I am using annotation scaling, so maybe my text height is wrong? Maybe I need a larger sheet than 24x36? My viewport and annotation scales are set to 1"=20' and box drawn around my site would be about 100' x 300'.
I've run into a small problem while trying to export a drawing from paper space as a PDF. Â The drawing is of an electrical panel for a product. Â The panel is rather large, but the drawing includes some smaller details, such as a vendor logo on a component or a few extra lines on the border of a display screen. Â We have a large, multi page PDF file that uses A4 paper size that I need to insert this drawing into, so the export must be at this size. Â When exporting, I have CAD set to use monochrome and ignore the line weights, which solved my initial problem that the parts would show up as solid black splotches.
Now that the back story is over, here's the problem. Â When I export the pdf, everything looks great except these small details around the components. Â For some reason, the lines in the components will shift to one side or the other, causing breaks between features. Â Most of these breaks occur between an arc endpoint and a line endpoint. Â The export also excludes some smaller bits of geometry. Â
In LR4 print module the print and print one tabs are greyed out and I can't reset.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I am working on this document and it has silver background. I go to print preview (Photoshop cs3 and cs4 on Vista) and I get color looking more like bronze looking but when I do print, it comes out just like it should (in working mode which is Monitor RGB with Proof colors checked).
This setting is the only one I've used to make sure image/psd looks exactly like what it should when printing. I tried the default Working CMYK with and without Proof colors but it's still showing me the bronze look instead of silver. I've looked on the net and no exact easy fix for this was found. I really really appreciate any help.
Another simple question is regarding size. I'm working on a document size of 17.5 x 8.7 inches and the actual Banners will be printed at size 175 x 87 inches (5 banners each at 35inch wide but combined into a big one). So essentially, I'm working at 10% the size of what the final print will be and my file size is 760mgs. You can only imagine how big the file would be if I work on the actual size.
When printing from PS CC using the print dialogue box I am getting a severe red shift in the final print. When I print the same image from PS CS5 or CS6 I get a color-correct print.
Â
I am running a MacPro with OS 10.7.5, and printing to a Canon iPF8300 with its latest firmware and print driver. I am using the proper ICC profile for the paper. In the print dialogue box, I select "Photoshop Manages Colors".
Â
A couple things I noticed: In the "Print Settings" where I dial in the printer setup, the settings for "Color" are both turned off (Colorsync & Vendor). In the printer driver settings (still within "Print Settings") the "Color" tab is grayed out, but when I click the "Settings" for that sub-panel, Colorsync is selected. When I printed the image from the Canon PS Plug-in, the red cast was gone, but the blacks were too heavy (there is no "Black Point Compensation" check box available because the Canon plug-in uses Adobe Color Engine for that, and it's only 32-bit and won't run).Â

Operating system, CS5 suite and printer drivers all updated.

When attempting to print a photo, it can take anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes for the print dialog box to open up. It takes SO LONG that it appears that Photoshop has frozen, but it has not. The print dialog box opens eventually. This started about 2 months ago. I have looked at all preferences, assigned more RAM to Photoshop, uninstalled and reinstalled the entire suite, ran all updates, uninstalled and reinstalled the printer drivers - all to no avail.
Â
I am at a loss as to why it would take SO LONG for the print dialog box to open after selecting print? I thought there may be a problem with the print spooler or print queue, but the slowness happens BEFORE the print back system is touched. The print queue is empty, and there is nothing stuck in there. I've checked.
I'm having trouble printing in Photoshop CS2. Rregardless of which printer I try to print to, I get the message "Could not print because of a problem writing the print file". I have never encountered this error before.
The psd file I am printing is a wall banner, and is quite large (~200MB). It contains elements copied/pasted as pixels from Illustrator CS2. However even if I flatten the file, or save as a flattened tif, I still get the same error message.
Thinking that the psd file is corrupted, I tried printing an earlier version of the file, with no luck. I've even tried printing other, small unrelated files, and can't print those either. Even after rebooting the computer.
The computer I'm using has a dual core processor, 4GB RAM, a decent graphics card and is running under XP. I have gob-loads of HD space and also use a scratch disk.
I really only want to print the file myself as a proof. However, I'm concerned that the banner printers won't be able to print the file either.
I have Windows 8 and am new to Elements 11. How do I get print to completely fill a 4 x 6 print paper?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have trial version of Elements 11; Also have full version, but have not installed yet, as I wanted to wait until I completed current project. I created/edited an album of wedding photos in the Organizer. I tried to upload album to Shutterfly to make an archival DVD and also make a photo book in Shutterfly. The photos uploaded individually to the Shutterfly print page to print individually, but the album will not upload to My Pictures, it shows the album name, but it is empty. How do I get the photos to upload?? Shutterfly was not sure how.

I've been using Photoshop CS3 for awhile and printing fine. I just updated my print driver (Epson 3800 to version 6.5) as well as my graphics driver (NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT)at the same time. After rebooting I cannot click on the Print menu selection to print. IE: When I click on Menu the Print option is greyed and not selectable. Print as well as Page Setup, and Print One Copy are all greyed out (not selectable). I rolled back my graphic driver and rebooted and it still doesn't work. I then upgraded my driver again and it doesn't work. I've opened jpg's as well as psd files and no matter what file I open the Print menu's are greyed out. I can print from Word and other programs. I also reset my preferences (con-alt-shift) and still can't select print. I've done everything but uninstall. I'm hoping not to do that. My computer is on: Vista Ultimate 32 bit SP1, 4gb ram. In addition to updating the print driver and graphics driver I updated: Ultimate Extra Sounds, Group Policy Preference Client Side Extensions, Samsung CLP-310 Printer driver, and Microsoft Tinker.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI 'm not really that new with photoshop, however, I'm new at creating graphics. Someone recently sent me some png file logos that are 50 X 50. Now I need them larger than that. They are acting like I should be able to enlarge them without messing with the quality. Is there a way to do this in Photoshop or Illustrator?

Please can anybody tell me How I convert this picture in to biger size without any lose of resolution and Quality.
I convert the original picture in to TIF.
then Go to Image size increase the Percentage by 100 to 125.
and Again save this file into Tif with Name A1.
Then Again Open A1 do same size change 100% to 125% and save this by name A2.tif.
continue...
This is right way or any method.
When i go to use my text tool they only font size i can see is 1296pt which looks like about 12pt if it was normal. I deleted photoshop 7 and reinstalled it twice but still no help.
View 8 Replies View Relatedtrying to make text all caps, but make the first letter in every word bigger.
In premiere pro there is a setting called "Small Caps" where all capital letters look like normal capital letters, but when you type lowercase it is just smaller capital letters.
The way I get around it is in Photoshop CS2 I just rasterize my text, then cut and manually make the rest of the letters smaller.
How would I go about doing that, without rasterizing my layers?
My text is coming out extremely small, all my settings in character are normal, and the font is not the problem, this has happened before.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden my text is incredibly small. The resolution is set at 300. The "Resample image" box is unticked. I've tried resetting the character...still the text is smaller than it should be. For example, 8 point Times New Roman can barely be seen with the naked eye. I haven't done anything different. What gives?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI was running CS4 before moving on to CC and never noticed any interface lag or uncommon issues. In Photoshop, I am encountering significant lag in using certain tools, e.g. the lasso tool. A common scenario: I select the lasso tool, begin to make a selection with my wacom pen and... nothing happens. Everything else is inaccessible for a few moments until a message box appears saying no pixels have been selected. From there, things may or may not work like normal. Today, the button tools in Photoshop were giving similar lag responses (even just using my trackpad, no wacom).
Â
As far as small oddities go, the other day I was working in Illustrator and made a simple line stroke. When I moved a point with the direct select tool, it switched to a rounded corner on only that end point (not the other), though no rounded corners were selected in the stroke box. Toggling the rounded corner button turned on rounded corners, then returned to a single rounded corner. Moving the end point with the direct select tool again would make the rounded cap disappear.
Â
I've checked my CPU usage while I work and it is very low, and I'm not working on large files (less than 10mb). Though I don't recall any more specifics at this time, the feeling I keep getting, misplaced or not, is that CC isn't stable.

I'm on the Retina Macbook Pro, 2.3 GHz Intel Core i7, 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 Ram, version 10.8.4.
I am running a subscription to Creative Cloud on a new Windows laptop....just Photoshop to start with. The fonts and icons are so small I can hardly see them...I have to get really close to the screen. I went to Edit >Preferences >Interface and changed the font size from medium to large but that didn't work (or if it did, the change was negligible). My screen resolution is set at 1920x1080 (recommended). I tried lowering it but that only changed the sizes of the fonts on my desktop, not in Photoshop. I run PS cs4 on my old laptop and never have had this problem.Â

It was this way on PS cs6 also before I upgraded. I just tried to delete the prefs file and restarted PS and it did not change. I have also tried to change my screen resolution to "best for retina" and it is still the same.

Are there techniques for doing this? Does one need to start with an image of at least a certain size to expect any halfway decent results? The starting point images in question are in the neighborhood of 250px - 400px in either dimension and all combos of those.
