Everytime I draw with the Pen Tool it's all fine until I connect the line, to make a circle (for example). have taken the time to create a before and after photo to show you what I mean.

All the local adjustment controls are set to have no effect on the image". These are tools I have been using regularly and all other tools work. If I presses and hold the Alt key I see the cursor change from the current tool to the eyedropper tool. I have already deleted the default settings, but still continues the same.
I keep de-selecting Sort-By-Tool in the Tool Presets window, but everytime I restart Photoshop, the tools have been moved around to Adobe's "sort by tool" arrangement, and the sort-by-tool option has become Enabled Again by the Adobe gremlins!
