in 7.0 if you held Shift, Alt, or Ctrl and held your cursor over a layer in the layer panel box it would either add/subtract/not select whatever the contents were inside the layer and in Photoshop CS2 I don't know how to do that or set that.
I'm using PSCS2 (version 9.0.2) and for some reason the "File Browser" option is missing from my "Windows" pull down menu...and when I click "Browse" under the "File" menu, nothing happens.
Also, when I click update, I get an error that reads I need to install Adobe Bridge and Adobe Stock Photos 1.0. I looked in my program files and both of those folders appear under the Adobe file, but NOT in the Photoshop CS2 file. Are they supposed to?
Is there any way to copy all the Adobe files from my C; drive to an external hard drive and be able to run Photoshop on another computer or especially, to be able to re-install PS to my next computer when the internal hard drive (C dies in my current machine?
In photoshop when you left click with an intuos/bamboo pen it brings up the brush tool window. Â Is there a hotkey to close this window? I have been clicking to top of photoshops toolbar to close the brush window, but I would thing there is a hotkey to dismiss it on the keyboard. Â See the image below to illustrate the menu in question.
Any way to temporarily edit(like move) a linked layer via a hotkey (or a script through a hotkey) that will not affect other linked layers? Â For example, i have layer A and B linked. I want to move A but not B. I don't want to temporarily disable the link in the layers, just a key to press that will temporarily ignore the linking. Â It will really save time instead of shift clicking the link to turn it off...move the item...shift click to turn the item back on....i know it seems minor but it would really improve my quality of life since i tend to use linking very often when dealing with multiple layers that need to stay aligned to each other. This becomes especially handy when selecting like 10 layers and not having to disable the link on each one of them...then going back and enabling it.
When the modifier panel is active, all of my hotkeys are different. i.e, "q" which normally activates the select tool, switches toggles quickcut instead. How I can turn this off?
I am trying to set a bridge hotkey for editable poly, but I never can seem to get it to work.
Similar issue here, set a hotkey for connect WITH dialog to cntrl+t. However, when I use the shortcut it just connect with no dialog box to edit the connect settings.
I've remove the hotkey ctrl + q from the file>quit command and assigned it to something else, but the quit command is still using that hotkey! Tried with fresh pref files and still no joy.
I want to remap the delete hotkey (which is currently on the delete key of course). However, I can't seem to find where in Customize Interface is the delete command. I see only a couple of items: "Delete Objects" and "Delete Selected". None of them seem to act as the delete key.
I'm having trouble customizing a hotkey short-cut for extrude Settings. I used ****f-k, ctrl-k, ,ctrl-o, the home key, and to no avail nothing stuck. How can I set a hoykey for extrude Settings.
I have been modeling something with a symmetry modifier, and it has been working great. But, recently I feel like something has changed...  When I select, for example, a vert (or anything for that matter) and attempt to center my view and orbiting origin in the viewport -- max seems to think I am selected BOTH the vert I selected and the mirrored vert on the other side of the symmetry.  Has this simply always been the case? I feel like, in the past I was able to center in on a single vert in the past... but accedentally I think I toggled something where it is behaving like I am selected both sides, and centers BOTH selections in the view.
i'd like to change hotkey of falloffs from ctrl+1 etc. to shift+1 - i can type these setting, click "done" but after this it doesn't work.
And another curious case is there a possibility to catch some workflow from 3d coat -> push RMB then slide left <--> right to change brush size (with ALT change brush strenght)? ( i dont need useless marking menu)
I have used smoke for a few years now, and one of the things that I find frustrating is the camera controls in action.Would it be possible to have a control hotkey set-up like maya/XSI/3DS? Some other softwares allow you to choose the keyboard set-up.
Using the maya set-up: Alt - left mouse : tumble Alt - middle mouse : track Alt - right mouse : dolly
This means while looking though the lens you can move the camera in any orientation, you only need to hold down the alt key and use the 3 button mouse/Wacom to navigate.
I read manuals how to define some hotkeys, and it works fine. But i still can't define hotkey for Color->Invert , it is not exist in list of shortcuts. How i can add it?
I'm almost certain this hotkey existed:.. but I cant find it!  Extend the selected layer to the last layer of that comp?  Currently I have to select the layer.  then scroll....... all..... the.... way..... down to the end of my layers.. then shift + click. to select I have a repetative task of shifting things around.. and is becoming difficult.
When I hit "Insert" to enter the customPivotTool, then hit W,E or R after moving the pivot point, it doesn't back out of the customPivotTool state allowing me to move the object. I use this tool very heavily in my workflow and it adds an extra keystroke per operation. Most importantly, to me anyway, is that I don't understand why this behavior was changed.
Question: How do I change this back to the previous behavior?Â
Edit: I also noticed that when I select and axis on the move tool, move the object, hitting "W" does not reset the move manipulator back to default (the move with camera normal box).Â
I'd like to assign a hotkey to the Manage Links dialog in Max 2013. However, I can't find it in the List of actions. It is not "manage links" or "file links" or "xref anything". What it is called?
I know that the Euphonix panel we have has an edit soft effect button. But it doesn't add the effect as well. (plus you have to hit the "NAV" button to make it accessible)
Using features like frame generator's "trim/extend"; I find it's very repetitive to be constantly going back and forth between the frame assembly and the selection menu.
I was wondering if there a hotkey, or is it possible to make a hotkey that toggles between the two selection options?
This would allow you to focus on modelling rather than mousing over to change between "face" and "member" selection options.
This could also be useful for many other inventor features too.
How to bypass/disable multiple nodes without have to do it one by one ?
The other strange thing is when i think i can do it by define a new hotkey for disable/enable the bypass button, i found that everytime i change a hotkey for the bypass button, it will apply only to current node. So do i have to set hotkey for every single node ?? and of course everytime i create new cfx , the hotkey will be reset.
I've had this problem in 2011 and 2012 on 2 different machines, but haven't seen it on the bug list, and have seen a post saying the hotkey combo for 'add menu item to shelf' is the same it's always been - Ctrl-Shift-Alt, then selecting menu item.
But when I press that, the menu item executes, but no shelf button appears.
I use this combo - a lot- to make custom shelves per project or need. Frustrated it no longer seems to work.
