I have Photoshop 10.0 (Windows XP) and use it to edit my photos from my new Nikon D300 camera. I create and maintain my images in JPG format as a preference and have no plans of saving in RAW. My D300 includes 40 to 50 camera info/metadata elements including the camera and lens settings at the time the photo is taken. When I do a simple "Save As" in Photoshop 10 to a new JPG file (whether image adjustments are done to the source image or not), the new JPG file is stripped of about half or more of the original camera-specific metadata elements. Is there a Photoshop setting or Nikon/Photoshop plug-in that will force the software to preserve/retain the original metadata? (The Capture NX2 solution is not an option as the one key feature I use is Auto Levels - The Auto Levels feature in Capture NX2 washes out my photos to an undesireable state). Therefore, I need to continue using Adobe for the benefit of their better Auto Levels feature and I also use their automation heavily as I process 100's of photos at a time. The only drawback of Adobe right now is they discard most of the camera specific shooting data at the time of save. RAW is not an option as the file sizes are too large for my storage, sharing and usage needs.
In camera RAW, to save a JPG you click on the 'Save image...' dialogue and another window opens with the JPG options. To skip this window and directly save the image, you hold down the ALT key and click on the 'Save image'. Is it possible to reverse these settings, so that if you want the JPG dialogue to open you have to hold down the ALT key and to save without the dialogue, you just click on the save button?
Once i apply my presets on raw images in camera raw i click to save all of the photos as JPGs. At the begining the saving takes 1.5-4 seconds per image. After saving for a while computer slows down and it takes almost 10 seconds to save one image.
It took more than 10 hours to save 4000 raw images as JPGs.

In CS5 Bridge I want to see the exposure speed immediately for any chosen picture. So I choose exposure plus exposure correction in Bridge presets.
But after starting my PC the next time, this setting is automatically brought back to "exposure mode" plus "exposure index", which has the effect, that Bridge once again doesn't show the exposure speed (1/30 or 1/100) for the photos. What to do???
Camera Raw takes almost 2 seconds to save 103MB tiff file. (I use Photoshop CS6)When i save a bunch of tiff files, camera raw uses only half of my CPU and half of my RAM. In addition, I use SSD that writes 530MB/s outside Photoshop. According to these specifications it should save 5 images within one second. But it doesnt.
Every time i use batch render it loses the connection between the materials and objects, the materials are still in the editor and on the objects, only they are not the same. It's driving me CRAZY, because i forget/don't notice it and correct the material, render, but there's no difference, i correct something else, render, it's still not fixed, change again, render, not fixed, fix, render... Until i realize i'm correcting a material, that's not connected to the object. Vray and SolidRocks Is it a bug, setting or just my computer?

Im a newbie and a few month ago i made my first skin for a race game with GIMP. Now i want to create another skin.
I follow this proceure as i did a few month ago:
- open the PSD template called A.psd- change the base colour - export the A.psd to A1.psd. - As soon as i open the A1.psd in GIMP i lost my sub layers.
I did this before and it worked fine. Although i cant recollect which version of Gimp i used. Has this been changed is the latest version?
Whether just dealing w/ a png file (resizing) like attached, or converting to smaller sized icon, for the most part it eliminates the white circle, when reduce to somewhere around 32 x 32 px.
Maybe this is because the reduction makes the given element too small to reproduce?
But, in the reduced versions, there are PARTS of the white line that are clearly visible - but not a solid white line. So if it shows part of the line, as an intermittently dashed line, why can't it show the entire line?
The image was created / saved at 32 bits. It's not only a problem dealing w/ icons - it's reducing png files as well.
I'm thinking it may be better to start off w/ an image close to the finished size. But w/ icons in one icon file ranging from 16 to 64 & even 256 px, that's hard to do.
I am having some layers (without content) removed that have sublayers with content collected into them when creating symbols from a set of layers. Why does this occur and what is the exact expected behavior?
I am presuming layers without content on them directly are stripped? Has this been changed in CS6?
I've just uploaded a picture to my Flickr photostream from within Lightroom 4 release version (Win 7 64 bit). I geotagged the picture in Lightroom's new Maps module and the image shows GPS co-ordinates in the Metadata panel in the Library module.
The photo on flickr has no GPS data and does not appear on the map in Flickr. I've downloaded the original version of the picture from Flickr and opened in the GeoSetter tool, which confirms that no GPS data is embedded in the JPEG file.
In Lightroom 4's "Publish Services" section Flickr does not have the "Remove Location Info" setting ticked under metadata.
EDIT: I've just tried to export a picture using the normal export button in the Library module. In this dialog box "Remove Location Info" was ticked. I unticked it and exported and can confirm that GPS data is successfully stored in this image. It just doesn't seem to get to Flickr using the built-in publishing service for some reason.
In the early days of Lightroom there was a problem where if you cancelled a edit on a raw file in Photoshop without changing the file (maybe you opened in error) you still ended up with a tiff or PSD file that then needed manual deletion.
This was corrected in later versions. Now however the problem seems to have returned! Am I missing something or is it a screw up by Adobe?
I created a 3d object in AutoCAD 2012. Set a camera at desired location.
Then switch to paper space, created an mview and set the camera view, then added some mtext and dimensions. Locked the display view, save my work and close AutoCAD. Now here's the exciting part. i re-launch AutoCAD and open the drawing. The drawing was messed up. It does not display the correct camera view that was previously saved. It sounds strange but I do it over and over and same thing happens.
When I remove a folder from my catalog and re-import it later Lr has saved all of my adjustments, color labels, star ratings, etc. However, Lr doesn't save the flag status. In other words it removes all the flags.
When I got X3 I checked out the photo Organiser hoping it would be an all in one image solution for me. It would not recognise tags I had added in Win Photo Gallery and because I had heaps of pics I decided to stick with Photo Gallery. That leaves me with another problem with ratings though. If I have a star rating on a file in Photo Gallery and open the file in PSPPX3 the rating disappears once I save the file again - even if I have made no alterations. Frustrating - I have to remember to re-rate any files I process. The rating is preserved in the PSP Organiser but has gone from Photo Gallery.
It is also interesting that whereas tags added in PSPPX3 are recognised in Photo Gallery, the converse is not the case.
I don't mind not using PSP Organiser, I bought the program for the editor, but I wish PSP would not interfere with the things other organisers are using. I presume it is part of the EXIF data.
The code removes prefixes bind ($ 0 $), renaming layers, blocks, dimension styles, but some objects do not change the name as linetypes, text styles and duplicate names. If I have an existing name, I want to change the name with a (2) at the end.Example.
Layer: FloorLevel$0$Door90 If the layer "Door90" is existing, is renamed to "Door90 (2)" (defun c:delprefixe(/ ActDoc Name NewName)(vl-load-com)(defun RemoveBindPrefix (String / Pos LastPos)(if (setq Pos (vl-string-search "$" String))(progn(setq LastPos Pos)(while (setq Pos (vl-string-search "$" String (1+ Pos)))(setq LastPos Pos))(substr String (+ 2 LastPos)))String)); [code]....
I add 3 folder locations to the Support File Search Path. At random, all 3 of these locations disappear. I haven't tracked when this happens and what maybe happened previously, but I know I'm not the only one within my office that this has happened to. The paths are on a file server for our blocks.
Not sure how relevant this is, but I have a HP Z420 Workstation, W7-64-bit, Autodesk Building Design Suite Ultimate, using AutoCAD MEP 2013.
I use AutoCAD for mac 2013. I'm a interior design student and I have a question regarding editing 3D Blocks which can be downloaded from the web.
If I download a 'free' 3D Block, is it possible to edit the block in a way which removes the 'original origin' of that block?? I have tried exploding the block and redefining it in a wblock file and changing the layer. But I'm not sure if this process has removed the original information which it came from...
If there is a way to remove the origin (that is came from the web).
Can't open file from Nikon D7100 in Camera RAW Plug-In,i have Photoshop CS5 and plugin is upgraded.Format NEF from Nikon D 7100 is not in this plug-in photoshop.
I am using Photoshop Elements 11, using WIndows 7 Operating System. I have a new camera Canon Rebel T5i, and having problem viewing images in raw format (cr2).Message in PE11, states, "Camera model not supported by installed version of Camera raw."
Canon software views images. Suspect my minimum camera raw plug in version does not support this new camera..I am unable to locate in the software any menu item that allows me to view the camera raw plug in version.
Have no choices in the camera calibration tab inside camera raw plugin. Use CS3 and Raw 4.6. Are choices only available in later version or PS? Also in Raw preferences choice for camera serial number and also setting as defaults. Where to enter serial number etc.
my PSE11 was working fine until i bought a new camera and tried to upload photos from my RAW files. It gave me this message
"Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw.Please visit the Camera Raw documentation for additional information."
so i tried to install the update.... installed it fine, kept getting the same message when i would try to open the photo. after researching online i found the suggestion of uninstalling and reinstalling photoshop elements. i did that once, tried the update again...same results. uninstalled again. tried the update again and still getting the same message. ive checked the adobe website and everywhere i look says the version of the camera raw DOES support my camera (nikon D7100).
After an, automatic, update to camera raw 7.3 in Photoshop Elements 11 all Camera Profiles are gone. All that is left is "Matrix". I use Elements 11, windows Vista on a 64-bit machine, my camera is a Nikon D7000.
I own a GoPro Hero 3 Black camera. I saw the Russell Brown demonstration of Camera RAW to correct lens distortion (
[URL].......
In this instruction, he takes images into Camera RAW and selects a tab called Profile, and it automatically detected the camera from metadata and made corrections.
I was sold, subscribed to Adobe Cloud, downloaded Photoshop and started following his tutorial. When I got to the lens correction part, my Camera RAW has no Profiles tab. Brown does say that you need the latest version, but I have assumed that since I just subscribed and downloaded, that I have that.
For some reason when using the path option in inventor studio for camera animation the camera rolls for no reason?? I have created two helical curve sketches around my product, the outer curve is the path for the camera and the inner curve is the path for the target. Both curves are the same height and have 1 revolution. When i play the camera it works out fine untill it hits 1/4 of the way through and suddenly flips 180 degrees so now the camera is upside down, once it hits 3/4 of the way it flips back again to the correct rotation. If i dont create an inner curve for the target and place the target directly in the centre of my product with no path to follow the camera spins all over the place when it follows the curve.
I don't know how to phrase it correctly but the 3d camera tracker inside of After Effects will only apply key frames to the null object. This causes the footage to rotate around itself.
