View 1 Replies View RelatedJust downloaded Photoshop CC with Photoshop CS6 still installed on my computer. Why working in Bridge I noticed that when right clicking on an image and then the "Open With" link, the only thing showing up is Photoshop CC. It would be nice if CS6 was an option as well. Is there any way to set it so that both are available?
Also, how do I install my Neat Image plug-in in Photoshop CC?
After a reinstall of 5.5 I noticed the secondary drop down menus open on the opposite side of the arrows.

Recently my Photoshop has decided that it no longer likes Background Layers so every time I open a jpg file in Photoshop CS6 it opens the file as a layer instead of a bakcground layer.
It's a small issue but when you are working with 100+ photos that need a quick edit and save it becomes incredibly annoying to have to reset the file type I want to save to or adjust the layer back to a background layer with each photo. When I'm doing it once or twice it's no big deal but those extra few steps become time consuming when I work in bulk and I work on a tight deadline.
It's only doing it with some files. Mostly the newer ones. Any older jpgs I open are fine but anything new is opened as a regular layer.
Is there some sort of setting I accidentally clicked without realising it? Because I have looked everywhere I can think of and fiddled with settings all over the place but something missing.
I'm running a Windows 7 64 bit system with 6gb of ram. I am using PS CS6. Every time I open an image there are large blank squares in it. I can fill in the squares by clicking in the area using the "Move" tool, I would of course to just have my images open the way they should.

Is there a way to open a new Gimp window without having to create a template? Like for pasting images into?
I edited a couple images in Photoshop for postcards to be printed, I converted them to CMYK and then saved as PDFs. I then tried to open them in Illustrator to finish up the project, but when I tried to place the images a box pops up that says "unknown error has occured" and when I try and open the images, all you can see is a blank artboard.
I'm using Creative Cloud
I received a PSD file from a client that I want to pull an image from. When I open the file there is a background layer and Layer 1, but in the layer window they're both blank. However, on the screen is the image I need.
I try to select the image, or use lasso or wand but it treats the image as a blank image (no matter what layer I'm on). Even when I drag and drop the image to another file, it comes up blank. The only time I do see it is in the original file, but I can't seem to do anything with it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am just starting to use PS CS4. I am using a PC with Windows XP 64, 8 GB of RAM etc. The problem I am having is that when I try to add a caption to an image by going to File Info, I get a blank dialog box. It gives the filename at the top but just plain white blank inside the box. The same thing happens in File Info within Bridge. In the metadata panel in Bridge, I can see the metadata is there, including previous captions. But I cannot access them in File Info and I also cannot activate the caption within the metadata panel to edit the caption text.

View 20 Replies View RelatedWe have two related issues we're trying to solution.
(1) If we create a blank Photoshop file ("template") that is merely a size, resolution and color profile, when we add an image (that does contain metadata), the image's metadata is not retained in the template metadata. We need to be able to transfer that image's metadata, automatically, to the template. (We do not want to have to copy/paste.)
(2) Let's say we now have a template with 1 image and associated metadata. We now need to add another image(s) to this template and have the second image's metadata also transfer automatically. (This auto-transfer of metadata would occur for any subsequent image added.)We are using CS4 v11.0.2.
Recently my CS6 has exhibited a weird behavior--when I open a jpeg, for example, only half of the file is displayed--the other half appears as a blank area in the file display area. When I click on the blank space, the rest of the file will appear. Windows 7 up to date, 9 GB Ram, i7 processor. I've been considering uninstalling and reinstalling but fear for my plugins and understand that reinstalls are not straightforward.

After an external backup drive had its partition deleted we used recovery software to get as many files back as possible. It sorted the files by types but gave them all numbers for names. Using bridge to preview the illustrator files, most show a thumbnail, some just a small illustrator icon. When I try to open the files, some open no problems.
Some of the files are collections of vector art (multiple clipart in one file). In the preview that Bridge shows, the file is complete and all art is there. When I try to open some of these files, I get error messages like:
"Can't open the illustration. The illustration contains an illegal operand.
##.####.##
%##.####.####.###.....etc."
And when I click "OK" the file is either missing some of the artwork or it is completely blank. How does the preview show the complete file and when opened it's either missing elements or blank?

View 3 Replies View RelatedWe have imported a .dwg file from our engineer into CorelDraw 5 under Windows Vista (64-bit). The file appears to import all elements since the layers and objects all appear in the 'Object Manager' docker. We can also select ALL objects and a rectangular marquee or extent shows up on the screen, which is presumably the bounding box for the imported drawing. Unfortunately, there is nothing displayed there (no topo, no streets, no buildings, not anything). We even tried selecting all objects and changing the color to black, but there are so many elements it appears the system will never stop processing or is locked up.
Why our imported .DWG file appears to be there, but displays nothing?
There was a small dot on our screen near the side of the page, just a small spec on the monitor. When we selected the dot and resized it to a full page, there was our complete drawing. However, we do not know why the drawing was imported as just a spec, nor why we had a larger edit marquee that appeared as wide as the page, yet appeared blank.
I have a CDR file I've been working on for about a week, and it suddenly started opening as a blank page. I have attached it here. how to get some or all of the material back, and why this happened so I do not encounter this again? File is available here: URL....
