When I select multiple fonts and try to change the font size from let's say 14pt to 24pt, it doesn't change them all to the same point size.
It says it did, but when you select the text individually and check the point size, they'll be arbitrary numbers like 15.6, 18.2, 24.1, etc. The only way I can change font size – accurately - is to individually select each text layer one-by-one.
if there is a way to apply an image resize to multiple images, so i don't have to select each pic past it into a smaller canvas and then resize it to fit,

I would like to copy all visible elements of this file, and paste them onto a new file whose size is that of a standard business card. To do this I create the business card AI file in illustrator and then paste the contents of the AI file listed above onto the file with the business card artboard. SINCE THE ARTBOARD IS MUCH SMALLER, I Select -> All and Resize to 2%.
A. What I don't understand is why the bordeaux square in the middle does not resize proportionally when I carry out this operation. Instead it completely shrinks to a much smaller size.
B. Furthermore, I would like to completely get rid of the orange area that falls outside of the artboard. How can I accomplish this second task?
It has come to my attention that the new drag-resize feature only changes the master diameter of the brush but leaves the dual-brush diameter intact. It is the only shortcut that does this resizing improperly.
I would like to know if everyone else experiences the same problem. Is it a bug or is this way of resizing intended?
I mainly do digital paintings and this small bug makes the feature useless for me. I hope that it will be fixed at least in cs5.
I want to see "resent" fonts when choosing, be able to type letter to get down the list quickly, group similar fonts, etc. Maybe have a magnifying glass attached to cursor to see fonts better.... Why have this not been done?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn previous versions I have been able to resize the canvas and then resize the image. For example resize the canvas to 250px x 250 px. Then resize the image to the same.
Here is the process I am using:
Duplicate the layer and then hide it. Resize the canvas (Image > Canvas Size) to 250px x 250 px. Un-hide the layer and then resize the image (Image > Image Size). When I go into Image>Image Size it says that the image is already 250px x 250px. However if I try to transform the scale the image is the original size and not 250px x 250px
The reason for needing this is I resize image size (in bulk) and the canvas size using the batch process (file>automate>batch) and actions. I loaded the actions file I used in previous versions, but that did not work correctly. I then went in to do this manually and got the same results.
Once I installed windows 7, while I WAS using PSE 9, I had the tiny font problem. I stopped using PSE for 2 years. I just installed PSE 11. Though better, the Font is still way smaller than I would like. Maybe it's just tougher for seniors? Can they not make the font adjustable? I was told there is no way to increase the size of the font?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem with a delay in selecting an object and selecting a command.
When I select an object the pointer has at least a 3 second delay before it starts moving around normally again. It is the same with selecting a command. This has started to get tedious. It has worked fine in the past so I don't think it is a RAM/graphics card problem.
It used to be that I very rarely used fonts within CS5 but recently I have. I realized that all of the fonts supposedly included with CS5 are not available via my drop down menu.
I then found these fonts in Windows/fonts so I copied all of those fonts into Program Files/Common Files/Adobe/Fonts. These unavailble fonts are now listed in that folder but are still not available via the dropdown menu in PS CS5.
I've recently read that the fonts don't really even NEED to be in the Program Files/Common Files/Adobe/Fonts folder and that PS should actually make all of the fonts in Windows/Fonts available via the dropdown menu. Yes, I have restarted PS after copying the files and also tried rebooting my PC after copying the files. The fonts are still not available via the drop down text menu within PS even though all of them are now in both locations.
I have put some new fonts into C:/windows/fonts and they have come up in other programs e.g. Microsoft office but they are not showing up in photoshop.
i am using vista home premium with SP1 and it is 32bit and photoshop cs4.
I have just been trying to resize some images on the latest version - 3.510.4297.28964 - and I have typed the measurements that I wanted into the print size fields on the resize dialogue. The actual sizes the program resizes the images to differ though - some look to be about right, whereas some come out much larger, but they all show the dimensions that I inserted in the canvas size box.
I'm sure I've done this before and this hasn't happened?
OK, today, or actually just this afternoon I've noticed it has become much harder to select items with the mouse.
Points, nodes, etc...anything where you'd typically hover the mouse over the item and it highlights for you to select it.
For example, lets say you want to project a point from another sketch, or select the center node of a line, etc.
Never really had an issue until this afternoon where now it seems I have to be right on top of the item and I cannot budge one bit or it won't select it. It is now taking me numerous attempts to select things like points (zooming in does not work, points scale accordingly).
Is there a setting somewhere? I can't seem to find such under Tools>Application Options and the like.

View 10 Replies View Relatednever knew there has a font folder in the user profile for Gimp until I wiped my user profile and moved all patterns, gradients, brushes, etc I have been putting in the program folder to the user profile folder because I read on here that it is better to keep all that stuff in the user profile folder of Gimp... my question is, what is the difference between installing your fonts into the system and placing them into the fonts folder in Gimp (besides all programs being able to use them)?? I've been installing all my fonts into the system I wanna use in Gimp... is it better to use the font folder in the Gimp user profile or to install them into the system?

I think you should read the original mail again. Hint: "system fonts not shown" is not the problem, but the desired outcome.I have accidentally read a "not" into the original mail, thus it became "to get Gimp to *not* only show fonts from the user/fonts file"
The configuration to check is the fonconfig settings then, for example the the global, system-wide fonts.conf file. It may contain references to the global font directories, for example /usr/share/fonts/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts. URL....
If you comment those out, then you can (and have to) add all font directories in GIMP's settings, for example.

When we open the file in Photoshop or link it in Indesign or Illustrator we only see the 1st page or view of the file.
I was very surprised to see this in Bridge, as far as I know it is not possible to even make a multi page jpg file.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI had no significant problem of creating a panorama picture by stitching HORIZONTALLY many (up to 35) pictures. Is PS capable of automatically stitching vertically too? The idea is to accomplish multi-raw panorama. That is, if in addition to a wide view, I want also the panoramic picture cover significant hight. The idea is to sweep the horizon at a certain vertical angle.
Then, sweep at a lower level and creating a panoramic view of both sweeps. If not fully automatic, then create a photomerge and create 2 panoramic picture. Then automatically stitch the two panoramas vertically.
I'm printing 10 same things on A4. But now I'm printing them 10 times plus back side, then it's 20 times, annoying much. How can I set photoshop(or what else?) to copy my one image like 10 times vertically automatically when printing. If I edit the one original image, I could just print it 10x once?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI discovered this "new" function on my camera today (just bought it recently and I'm still just playing around with it). A thingy called Multi-Shot where the camera takes 16 pictures in about 2 or 3 seconds and then makes it into a single image. Where you can see all the frames, which end up at a resolution of about 400*300 on the 7mp total resolution.
Is there any way possible to make photoshop automatically take my 16-pic multishot picture, take every single frame, crop it and save it as a separate image file? So I end up with 16 different pictures instead of one containing all the frames?
If i like to resize (no transformation) my textarea in Photoshop CS3 on my Q6600 Quadcore I always get a font size of --21474836,, Px ... seems that there goes something wrong while calulating... But for what.. Text size should stay as is...
Also I get some strange image resizing errors... If I resize an image I get some kind of grid in it where are only transparent pixels... (changing transformation method to smooth solved the problem for now) What is wrong with PS ... Kind of strange things also happen in ID and Acrobat...?
Ok I thought it could be a float problem with my multicore so I opened the taskmanager and set Photoshop to only use CPU 2, 3 and 4... And everything seems to be ok...
Always setting the CPU cores in the taskmanager wouldn't be the best i can imagine.
I am trying to create an action that would open a muli-page PDF file, select all the pages and place each page on its own layer, in the same Photoshop document.
Right now, it makes a new document in Photoshop of each page? Is there anyway to do this? With or without making an action?
