View 6 RepliesEach time I open a file in AI - CS3 I get the same message: "Missing Profile - The doc does not have an embedded CMYK profile". I looked in library>colorsync>profiles and sure enough they were gone? I downloaded new profiles from Adobe, installed them in library>colorsync>profiles - and still the same thing with each file I open. I dragged AI to the trash, re-installed AI from my disc repeated the process with the same results .

IÂ tried installing the ICC bundle here [URL] but Uncoated Fogra29 or any Fogra profiles are not selectable or visable when printing in photoshop CC. (although fogra29 is in the bundle). How I can install this profile in CC?
Â
I found Uncoated Fogra29 the best profile to use with my Epson Inkjet Printer. (better than the default Epson Profile)
I am using Elements 11 on a Windows 8 computer. When I started to use the face tagging feature, the 'people' section showed each of my added people, with a profile picture of each one. Now, however. I can add people but they do not appear in the people section at all.Â

View 11 Replies View RelatedI created a profile showing original ground and included superimposed profiles and an offset of the og line. Now when I open the drawing, the profile lines are gone. The grid is there, all of the profiles are listed under the alignment but they are not showing up. All of the styles are on and I've turned all layers on. I've tried to regain all and recover the drawing but the profile lines are not showing in the grid.

I don't want to start creating a profile as I am not sure I have the technical capabilties or knowledge. Where can I find a profile for this lens?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI cannot for the life of me get the start and end labels for any band to display within a profile view. Each band has the 'label start' and 'label end' labels ticked and the major/minor labels display at every other point but don't display anything at the start of the view or end. The profile views are taken from a simple straight alignment and the profiles themselves extend the full length of the view.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a drawing that contains an alignment and 2 profiles (existing and proposed). Call this File A.
I created data shortcuts for these 3 objects and reference them in many drawings.
Last week File A was having some problems, it was inexplicably large and seemed to have some corruption I couldn't fix. So I created a new drawing, call it File B, and promoted the alignment and profiles into it.
I used Data Shortcut Editor to point the data shortcuts to File B. In drawings that already referenced these objects they look like the they are coming through just fine.Â
The problem is that I can't see the profiles listed in the Data Shortcuts section of prospector. The shortcuts folder selected is correct, the xml file is there, it points to File B. The alignment is listed and I can create that reference in a new drawing. I also can't find anything wrong with File B.
After the X6.2 service pack everything looked fine at first, but when dropping bitmaps, Draw now regularly complains about missing the color profile. Of course the bitmaps have profiles embedded, and Draw had never complained about those same bitmaps before. Well, I have everything in AdobeRGB or IsoCoated v2 CMYK, and these are also the standard settings in CorelDraw. So it didn't make a difference eventually, colors remained the same to the numbers.
However, I re-calibrated my display a little later, installed the new profile, opened Draw and was shocked: stridently over-saturated colors in bitmap images as well as in vector graphics, nowhere near their appearance in four-color print (they had been pretty close before). In other color-managed applications everything looks fine, only CorelDraw is concerned. It still does respond to display profile changes, it does adjust colors when a different profile is installed, but the over-saturation is always there. Color definitions are not changed and output is as ever, it is only Corel's rendering of display colors.
I believe that this reaction to a change of the system display profile and the ignorance of profiles embedded in bitmaps go back to the same problem with color management.
Is there a registry hack or something to make it recognize color profiles properly again, or do we have to wait for the next SP to fix a bug brought in by the last?
I recently lost my windows autocad profile and i am having to start redoing the auatocad laout from scratch. I have the xtp file for the palettes which have loaded the images in ok, however there are some palettes which have not "linked" with the images in the image folder. How to reassign every single image to the item in the palette?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Lightroom 3 and just this morning noticed that all of the preloaded lens profiles are missing. I've been using the program for 3 years now and they've always been there previously. The only one available is SIGMA. I have a Canon, so all of those are gone. At the bottom of the box in "Develop" it says "Unable to locate a matching profile automatically."
Â
I am running on Windows and tried repairing, but it seems to be missing the installation file that it needs. Is there a way to download and install the profiles for just the lenses I have? Or, do I need to completely re-install? If that's the case, will all of my libraries stay in tact?
In plan production, I have created the sheets (plan & profile) as a seperate drawing.Â
when I open the sheets, the pipe network profile labels are missing in model & paper space. (attachment 01)
I tried to on/off the annotation visibility tabs in the lower right corner (attachement 03)
Note: While creating the sheets, I select the tabs for pipe network & copy pipe network labels to destination drawings (attachment 02).
1. I had trouble with profile view of the alignment line shown. What step am i missing? Are there things that is turned off?
2. How can I best come up with the right volume to fill. Â
3. Do I need to learn the grading tools? or could i get buy with a section profile from the alignment. ( it is not even an alignment yet)Â
4. How to I render a rock fill in this cave-in. Â
The attached aerial image , has survey or cogo points  that are imported to surface, to become surface points. . So I wanted to create a surface profile  below  and an outline of  fill  above it.  Iideally the side profile would look like a trapezoid, where the base is the surface proile and top would be the design embankment.Â
But the reason , a surveying crew went down and took shots at the shoreline and a couple shots around the cave-in walls (higher elevation on the cave-in wall cannot be surveyed, although I coud have used a laser , did not)  is so that a more accurate volume of the cave in can be obtained. I tried to label how far the road edge is from edge of the cave-in . Norice the higher elevations are the top edge around the cave in area.Â
The ouline for the embankment will be a mild slope then breaks to a more steep slope. like 4 :1 , then 1.5:1
i have created a data band in profile view that should show a created profiles elevation, but some of the the data fields are missing irregulary. Also in the data band that shoud show the diferenece betven the tow profiles - EG and the new profile the data is missing. The EG profiles data and the surface are ok all is shown.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to reproduce this color blind conditionfor a long time now and I still didn't figure out how I can do this. I've searched for cluts but didn't find any, only this, which has some previews of them, but no any files I can load into Photoshop's Color Lookup adjustment. I've looked into Pixel Bender plugin, but I'm using CC so that doesn't work either... I've also tried it with the Index Color mode, but that really messes up my image as it has a really low color range (256). I've even tried reproducing the same effect with adjustments, channels, etc, but didn't figure it out.
Â
Since there's a way to perfectly color proof images with this condition, I'm guessing this has to be some kind of ICC profile or something similar. Is there a way I can use it as a color profile?

View 9 Replies View RelatedFor a monthly magazine on uncoated paper, our workflow is as follows:
- convert every photo to uncoated cmyk (PSO Uncoated) + apply some corrections to look nice in this profile
- apply a fixed correction curve to the photo's
- (resize images + apply proper sharpening for print)
- export pdf: convert colors to destination, preserve numbers
Â
The correction curve step is critical. Without it, everything is printed much too dark.Unfortunately our printer can't provide us with a correct profile for the paper that is used. That's why the correction curve in photoshop is needed. The profile + the correction curve give a good, predictable result.
Â
However i don't like the workflow with the correction curve, because only photoshop links can be corrected. We would also like to put a digital version of the magazine online, so i have to replace all links if i won't to have them displayed correctly.
Â
Can i somehow combine the icc profile with the correction curve into a new icc profile?I did some research and found about "Custom CMYK" in photoshop (see screenshot), but i think an existing profile (PSO Uncoated) can't be edited or replicated in this dialog box.
