For most of our product photos, I create a copy of the image, flip it vertically, fade it out, and then move it down to create a mirror image effect. Simple enough. But this one I'm having a problem. The product has 4 legs, and from this view, the back 2 legs are shorter. When I do my normal steps that I listed, I get similar to what you see below. I know all about drawing a marquee around part of the reflection, hitting Ctrl+T and then holding down Ctrl+Shift to skew just what's in the marquee. I've done this technique a lot, but it does not work for this particular image. What do I have to do to get the reflection of the back legs to line up with the actual back legs in the image?
wanting to know what effect to use to make it have a mirror effect on the bottom of the image. Its kinda hard to explain but you have the photo itself then the effect that it is mirrored up at you.
Is there a way in PS CS2 to create the infinite mirror effect? I'm talking about a picture with someone looking at oneself in the mirror, with a second mirror behind the subject, so that the subject image goes on and on, get's smaller and smaller, towards negative infinity?
I've threads about mirroring objects, but only applicable to objects that are viewed in front, what if the objects are viewed from an angle, like if the object is skewed?
I'm wondering if there is any way to get a shattered glass or mirror effect. I did an internet search and came up with outdated tutorials from 4-5 years ago. Is there any modern technique (or better yet, an effect plugin) that can make this effect?
There was a video that showed you how to create the mirror effect that USED to be the "flip" for PSP. The video I am referring to, it showed how to do it as a script, and then customize it with a shortkey, and finally, it showed you how to add it to the menu (I had it under "Images", just above Flip Horizontally, Flip Vertically).
I am looking to create text words that have a silver/bright mirror effect. The effect might look like silver liquid (water) effect. Or do you know what software it could be designed on.
Is it possible with Photoshop (7.0) to reverse an image, i.e. so if the photo had someone in a T-shirt, the letters in whatever logo would be backwards?
I wanted to make a mirror image from a jpg but I cannot figure it out with Photoshop 6 or 7. I have the book, "Photoshop 6 for dummies", and I cannot find any references to making a mirror image. I am trying to print the (reversed) image onto a heat transfer for a T-Shirt.
I created a ribbon using the extrude and bevel effect and then mapping it with a custom symbol. I copied the image and then tried to get a matching image on the flipside to mirror it but cannot seem to figure it out. Is there a way to somehow flip the orientation of the image? I tried using transform and then reflect and it does not do anything. I tried to do it manually in mapping and flipping the box upside down and in reverse but it just doesn't seem result in the a reflective image. Attached are the two images I am trying to get to reflect each other.
I have Photoshop 11.0.2 on CS4/Mac. I'd like to be able to create a mirror image of a photograph for an unusual effect, but I can't find a way to do it. Is this possible?
A few versions back I had what I remember as being an action to mirror and flip an image. I realize this can be done manually or create my own action but it was a great action and produced some really amazing images in no time. Any action or even a plug in that does this?
I created a project from scratch. I created some pipe labels showing our companies arrow block in label the and set it to Grade Check. It worked great. It point in the downward slope and at the end of each pipe. No issue. I copied the label style to an existing project I inherited and did not set up. In that project, certain variables for pipe and structure labels display backwards or mirror image. I can't figure it out. I copy those same structure and pipe labels to a new project and they display fine.
Also when I create a profile view the numbers for my vertical elevations in the profile are backwards (but plot fine). The labels mentioned above do not plot fine. I have also copied items from another project and they came in mirror image including the text.

I'm running Gimp 2.8.4 on Ubuntu 13.04 Linux (64-bit) and I'm trying touse the "Bevel and Emboss" layer effect on an image which I copied fromanother image. Here is what I've done:
1. Loaded image 'A' into Gimp 2. Selected a portion of it 3. Used "/Edit/Copy" to copy the selection 4. Used "/Edit/Paste As/New image" to create a new image from the selection 5. In the new window for the new image, "/FX-Foundry/Layer effects/Bevel and Emboss" 6. When the "Bevel and Emboss" window opens, I accept the defaults and click "Ok"
The filter starts to run and then stops with an error message. Here is the message I get:
