Revit :: Mirror Command Flipping Families?
Jan 6, 2014still on this family quality control audit... i've come across some new and entertaining behavior.
several fmailies (face based) flip host sides with their flip controls as expected, but if i mirror them , instead of flipping along the mirror line as an accurate reflection, they ALSO flip top to bottom, AND around the face.
the right family in both views is the original, the left is the new mirror. (plan and elevation views in wire frame included) you can see it landed within the wall, and upsidedown.

Feb 6, 2008I work for needs to submit a block of fabric with an image of Mt. Rushmore. The plan is to iron it on, however first we have to print the image on the applique backwards, so when we iron it on the fabric the image appears correctly.
There has to be a way to flip the image backwards in Photoshop.

Jun 29, 2012I created a ribbon using the extrude and bevel effect and then mapping it with a custom symbol. I copied the image and then tried to get a matching image on the flipside to mirror it but cannot seem to figure it out. Is there a way to somehow flip the orientation of the image? I tried using transform and then reflect and it does not do anything. I tried to do it manually in mapping and flipping the box upside down and in reverse but it just doesn't seem result in the a reflective image. Attached are the two images I am trying to get to reflect each other.

Nov 21, 2012For most of our product photos, I create a copy of the image, flip it vertically, fade it out, and then move it down to create a mirror image effect. Simple enough. But this one I'm having a problem. The product has 4 legs, and from this view, the back 2 legs are shorter. When I do my normal steps that I listed, I get similar to what you see below. I know all about drawing a marquee around part of the reflection, hitting Ctrl+T and then holding down Ctrl+Shift to skew just what's in the marquee. I've done this technique a lot, but it does not work for this particular image. What do I have to do to get the reflection of the back legs to line up with the actual back legs in the image?

I tried with the wavy mirror effect but it didn't turn out. I am trying to turn this actor into a very scary yet sexy vampire ( I'm trying for something a little different). I know I need to do a lot of touching-up but am not sure as to what is the best technique. I did lighten his skin using the "colored eye" technique...I think I need to lighten it up more.
Another question - How do I get a realistic blood spatter look (wet liquid look)?

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Pipe Labels Display 180 And Mirror Image?
Nov 19, 2013I created a project from scratch. I created some pipe labels showing our companies arrow block in label the and set it to Grade Check. It worked great. It point in the downward slope and at the end of each pipe. No issue. I copied the label style to an existing project I inherited and did not set up. In that project, certain variables for pipe and structure labels display backwards or mirror image. I can't figure it out. I copy those same structure and pipe labels to a new project and they display fine.
Also when I create a profile view the numbers for my vertical elevations in the profile are backwards (but plot fine). The labels mentioned above do not plot fine. I have also copied items from another project and they came in mirror image including the text.

Aug 5, 2006I am trying to make a design for a T-shirt, via. Photoshop. I am making a heart design and have come to a problem. I have half of the heart I want, so in order to make it whole I would have to flip the image, if I flip the image horizontally it moves the whole board area, so both pieces of the heart are in the same direction and don't fit together.
How can I keep one piece still and have the other piece flip?
I've tried free transform and horizontal flip.
I need to flip it without flipping the original so that it fits together.

I select the layer in the layers pallette, got to edit, but the 'transform' option displays as 'transform path' and is greyed out and cannot be used...
I have tried everything I can think of, right down to uninstalling/reinstalling photoshop without success...

May 20, 2005I'm trying to flip and rotate a selection in Photoshop but it doesn't seem to be working. Here's what I'm doing:
1) Select what I want to flip/rotate.
2) Go to Select -> Transform Selection
3) Go to Edit -> Transform Path -> Flip Horizontal/Vertical or one of the rotate options.
4) Choose another tool so that it can ask me if I want to apply the transformation.
5) Say yes.
But at this point nothing happens to my selection. When rotating, I notice that the selection box itself gets transformed, but not the contents selected. How do I actually transform the contents?

Dec 17, 2005I tried to do that kind of sig, but I can't do this flipping (it this right word to describe this effect?) squares. I tried transforming, but it always looked weird... I know for sure that this was made in PS/ImageReady.
