Photoshop :: Making Adjustments To Different Photos With A Common Background

Jun 22, 2013

I have nearly 100 photos that I need to adjust for a directory. All the photos were taken with the same camera with the same lighting. Is there an easy way I can select a color in the background to make adjustments so they all look the same? Doesn't have to be perfect just close.

I'm using CS6 on a MacBook Pro 10.8.

Photoshop :: Blend Images To Restore Common Background Hidden By Text

Dec 15, 2012

I have a 3images with a common background, but there's different text and each picture has a different part of the background intact. I'm looking for a way to restore the back ground by over layer the images together. I originally tried with one image and selecting the text with the magic wand and filling it with content aware fill. But the results were so so.

So I have a few questions;

1) the images have slightly different orientation. I can't get them to perfectly align, its weird, I really can't do it. I can get it close, but not perfect, is there a simple way ?
2) How do I keep the common element between the images (the background) and remove what's different (the text) ?

I tried overlaying them after having deleted the text, but I still get the damn contour effect.

3) Furthermore, the colors are slightly different between the images, is there a simple way to get them to match ?

I'm on Lightroom 4.3
OSX 10.6.8

When ever I make a photo adjustment and want to save it as a preset all the check mark boxes aren't there I have to manually check the boxes I want saved. I have the adjustment switch on when I click new preset. It use to have the adjustments I've made already checked. This is for my friend. When I use lightroom and save a preset the check mark boxes are there.

Lightroom :: Making Adjustments In A Cell In Print Mode

I have all my photos in cells on the page, but now I am trying to zoom in on and move photos around within each cell (sort of what you do when you upload a photo in Facebook). This was quite easy for me to do in Aperture, but I can't seem to find out how to do it in Lightroom.

Lightroom :: Make White Balance / Exposure Adjustments On Top Of Current Adjustments Across Multiple Shots?

Jan 15, 2014

We have a bunch of shots taken using natural light - the shots all have completely different exposure and white balance adjustments.

Now that the shots feel like they've been shot at the same time of day (and on the same day) we'd like to start adjusting the white balance accross multiple shots - but use the current white balance/exposure from each individual shot as the starting point - not reset the adjustments.

Kind of like baking the current settings or making adjustments on top of current adjustments - or make new adjustments relative to the current adjustments.

Photoshop :: Making A Background Transparent?

Oct 16, 2012

I want to make the background of some images transparent so I select the backgrounds and try to delete them, though sometimes if it was white the background remains white and other times it pops up with the fill panel asking me what I want to fill the area with and transparent pixels are not an option, and other times I know I have deleted the background and it has shown me the checkerboard pattern indicating that it was indeed transparent.

Photoshop :: Making Background Transparent

Jun 20, 2004

I have some black ink writing on a piece of white paper. I would like the writing to become part of a separate colour picture, but without showing the white background.

I was hoping someone could explain how I would go about making the white backround from the piece of paper trasparent, so I can put the writing on the picture, making it look like part of the picture.

Photoshop :: Making Photos Cartoonish

Mar 22, 2006

How do they make actual pictures look cartoonish? Not like Mickey Mouse or anything rather more based on the picture. I'm trying to Google it but I don't know the technique name. I've noticed this technique on alot of hip-hop album covers.I'll see if I can find one and post it. Here is an example of what I mean. I know that they didn't draw this (well atleast i assume not)

I reckon it has something to do with a filter as I remember dabbling once before. The closer I have gotten was using the Stylize>Find Edges filter and then overlaying that with a duplicate of the picture with the blending mode set to color.

Photoshop :: Making A Web Logo With Transparent Background?

Apr 13, 2012

I'm designing a header logo for a website with Photoshop CS4 (Mac) but am struggling to understand how to get the background transparent.

In Photoshop I've designed the logo using multiple layers. Prior to saving I've disabled the background layers (used for testing purposes), thus leaving a transparent area behind the logo (shown as a checkerboard pattern). However, I don't understand what the next step is. I've tried "Save for web" as well as flattening it first, only to result in a white background. I suppose I don't need to flatten it then I've also messed around with the transparency and matte options in the "Save for web" window but to no avail (yes, I know that I need to save in either GIF or PNG though for the latter I don't know the difference between PNG 8 and 24 and which of the three formats I should go for).

As for "Matte"; is this the color in the image which should be made transparent? So that in my case with a logo containing white among several colors I should make the background something entirely different from the logo as a background layer and choose "Matte" for that? I've also experimented with that but to no avail.

I know I can follow the directions with the text and take it a bit further, but hoping for a little direction to start. I have a fairly decent working knowledge with Photoshop.

Photoshop :: Making Black Background Tranparent

Dec 16, 2005

I would like to make the black background of the image below tranparent so I can paste it on something else. I tried blending modes (the best were screen and linear dodge), but it would not look good on a white background. I do not want to use magic wand, because it would not look so natural and blended. Is there any way, using alpha channels maybe, to make the black transparent?

Photoshop :: Making Photos Web Ready In An Automated Batch File

Dec 12, 2008

I've got a number of images that are 300dpi which I need to save for the web. I've been able to take one image and change the dpi to 72 and then go into Image Ready and shrink the size some more. I've tried to automate the process but after I run a batch I actually get the files back double their original size. What might I be doing wrong here? I'm using PS 7 and, while in no way a professional, I can get by... except for this bit obviously! So, what's the best way to automate the process of turning my files into nice, lean web-ready images?
