View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been fooling around with trying to make a few friends of mine look like old people. Ive been tried the spray brush with lighten and I have tried the smudge tool with darken, but I cannot seem to get the desired effect. Keep in mind the pictures are also in gray scale. Any suggestions or techniques?

I'd like to make persons into water.
I need to print 200 profile cards (sized A6). There will be information about the individual along with a photograph. My questions are:
The photos are all 680 x 1024 at 72dpi - I'm sure these will print ok at A6....?All candidates are on a white background - some backgrounds look brighter than others - what's the best way to make it look whiter (photos will be cropped and placed on a white background) and is there a way to do this on mass?
I'm using Photoshop CS6.
I upgraded from PSE9 to PSE11 and now the tags are separated on the right side, with the people tags below a line from which you can no longer add these tags to photos.
How am I supposed to add people tags to new photos?
My "people tags" used in pse 10 now show up as groups in pse 11, how do I add photos to these groups?

View 5 Replies View RelatedHow can I remove a people tag from multiple photos at one time in PSE11. If I select two or more photos, then the people are no longer listed in the "image tags" info area, and the right-click menu does not list them under keyword tags to remove, it only shows "add person" not "remove person." This happened when many photos were accidentally tagged with a person not in the photo.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded from PSE 10 to PSE 11. I already used tags to identify People by name. However, in the new People View not all of my people tags are present as People Stacks despite running the face recognition function. If I use the Add People function it just runs the face recognition feature that I have already run and named the specific person I want to see in the stacks.Strange thing is when I click the Add Group button I can see the missing people but do not know how to get them shown in the People Stacks?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have about 11,000 pix in PSE 11 and growing, all of a large family. Using 'Add People" in organizer worked well up till I reached 9,000 pix. I get the msg that all faces have been tagged. I've been scanning about 300 pix from our old albums and always try to add people after each group. I am not even getting the "Is this a person" message. I can go to each batch and manually answer "Who is this? Database size problem??
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have 2 pictures:
main picture - group of people (no room at either end to insert anyone)
2nd picture - 2 people standing together
Best place is to put them at the back of the group. But how do I do this? I am new to gimp and think I have to play with layers, but don't know how to.
I have just upgraded from PSE 9 to PSE 11 and have imported some pictures that I have tagged in another program. Importing tags for everything other than people works fine (already used tags are recognized and reused). But importing tags for people proved to be a problem. They did not merge automatically with my previous people tags in PSE. My imported people tags ar now placed under "Imported Keyword Tags" in the "Media" workspace. How do I merge or move them to the "People" work space where the people tags for PSE 11 is placed?
I also wonder why people and other tags are put in different places. Is it possible to view all keyword tags in one list/place?
Taken a fairly high resolution and then resized. However I just don't think it looks good at all. I was going to make something in flash with a black background but for some reason it looks awful.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI wish to give a new colour photo an "aged" look. I have changed the image to greyscale, blurred it slightly, reduced the contrast with a curve, and blended in a light tan colour. It doesn't look right. Could I ask for help from some of the experienced users?
View 9 Replies View RelatedHow do they make actual pictures look cartoonish? Not like Mickey Mouse or anything rather more based on the picture. I'm trying to Google it but I don't know the technique name. I've noticed this technique on alot of hip-hop album covers.I'll see if I can find one and post it. Here is an example of what I mean. I know that they didn't draw this (well atleast i assume not)
I reckon it has something to do with a filter as I remember dabbling once before. The closer I have gotten was using the Stylize>Find Edges filter and then overlaying that with a duplicate of the picture with the blending mode set to color.
I have nearly 100 photos that I need to adjust for a directory. All the photos were taken with the same camera with the same lighting. Is there an easy way I can select a color in the background to make adjustments so they all look the same? Doesn't have to be perfect just close.
I'm using CS6 on a MacBook Pro 10.8.
I'm part of a WW2 Living History group, and I want to fiddle with some of the photos we've taken to make them look better.
That pic was modified by Andrew from Thunder From Heaven, and I'd like to emulate his work. I must confess that I'm quite new to photoshop and photo editing in general.
I've got a number of images that are 300dpi which I need to save for the web. I've been able to take one image and change the dpi to 72 and then go into Image Ready and shrink the size some more. I've tried to automate the process but after I run a batch I actually get the files back double their original size. What might I be doing wrong here? I'm using PS 7 and, while in no way a professional, I can get by... except for this bit obviously! So, what's the best way to automate the process of turning my files into nice, lean web-ready images?

I am trying to make a slide show of photos for my brother's funeral. The photos will be shown on a screen at the church and on a TV monitor at home. I was used to Photoshop 4, but had purchased but not really used Photoshop Elements 10. I am about 1000 miles away from home so I cannot go back to try to using Photoshop 4 which is not on this laptop. I don't think I want to change (i.e. resample) the pixels, etc.
I have put into order all of the photos. However, the photos are of varying sizes. The photos taken digitally are fine. However, I have a lot of photos take a long time ago for like 3X3 or 2X3, i.e. like in the 50's - 90's, which were scanned. Then provided to me in a variety of ways. Coming to me they are small on the page. ie like in one corner. I am not trying to shrink these photos. I am trying to resize them larger. And probably get rid of most of the white background.
