Lightroom :: Incremental Exposure Adjustments To Multiple Photos?

Apr 25, 2012

I have a batch of photos that are adjusted individually for exposure.  Now I want to increase the exposure to all of them by say. .10 stop.  Is there a way to do this in LR4 without having to adjust each file individually?

Lightroom :: Make White Balance / Exposure Adjustments On Top Of Current Adjustments Across Multiple Shots?

Jan 15, 2014

We have a bunch of shots taken using natural light - the shots all have completely different exposure and white balance adjustments.

Now that the shots feel like they've been shot at the same time of day (and on the same day) we'd like to start adjusting the white balance accross multiple shots - but use the current white balance/exposure from each individual shot as the starting point - not reset the adjustments.

Kind of like baking the current settings or making adjustments on top of current adjustments - or make new adjustments relative to the current adjustments.

VideoStudio :: X4 Ultimate And Exposure Adjustments

Dec 13, 2011

I just grabbed the upgrade to Ultimate (already had VSX4) because the product page said "Advanced video stabilization and image enhancement - Fix even the shakiest video with proDAD Mercalli SE—rock-steady video stabilization, rolling-shutter correction and zoom/pan optimization. You can also adjust color, white balance, tone, exposure and more with multicore processor-accelerated color correction, Advanced DeNoise, Auto Exposure and Lensflare filters." and I need some of these features.

Now that I installed it, I need to find where they hide everything.

I found the Mercalli filter for the "shake, rattle and roll" stuff but I haven't found the "Auto Exposure" stuff and I need to turn down the exposure of this video I am working on (lots of light flares). From the above description/paragraph, I would have though the exposure stuff was under Mercalli, but I haven't found it.

Lightroom :: Loading Photos - Colour And Exposure Looks Different Than In A Camera?

Jan 22, 2013

when importing photos (raw files) to Lightroom they look very different than in the camera. At the very beginning photo looks more or less the same and then, a message „Loading…” is displayed and in a result the photo looks differently. It looks like with imposed dimmer yellow/red filter, higher contrast, much lower sharpness and what is most important, they are all overexposed sort of.  The screen settings are as sRGB, ICC profile: sRGB IEC61966-2.1. I am using DSLR Sony A700 that save photos in ARW format, Lightorrom just updated to version 4.3 .

Photoshop :: Nikon In-camera Multiple Exposure RAW

Jul 5, 2013

I have a Nikon D7000, I use Photoshop CS5. I took multiple exposures in-camera in RAW and they appear fine on the back of my camera, and in the finder window on my Mac, but when uploaded and viewed through Bridge and Photoshop the images are monochromatic RED in color. I have contacted Nikon and they say they can not guarantee compatibility with 3rd party software. No amount of editing, that I have found, returns the colors to where they should be (NOT RED).

Lightroom :: Can't Add Sub-location To Multiple Photos

Aug 11, 2012

I can't add sublocation (or any other) EXIF data to multiple photos after selecting them in library grid view. This happened recently; before that it worked. Keywords work, however, as they always did.

I'm running Lightroom 4.1 on MacOsX 10.7.4. Don't remember doing any OS updates just before this happened. I have 4 GB of RAM, 639.5 GB actual HD (135 GB unused).

Lightroom :: V4 Keywording Multiple Photos?

Jan 7, 2013

I'm in library mode and trying to add the same series of keywords to a group of about 60 photos.  All these photos are highlighted at the bottom of my screen but one photo appears to be highlighted more brightly.  I've typed in a group of keywords in my sidebar and then clicked enter.  I thought that action should tag all 60 photos with the same keywords but it doesn't.  Only the brightly highlighted photo gets the keywords.  Surely there has to be a way to tag multiple photos with the same keywords all at once.  I've watched Cris Orwig's video on Adobe and am following the same steps he demonstrates but the keywords are only tagged to the one photo.

Photoshop :: Multiple Levels Adjustments

Aug 20, 2012

Question 1:  If I create two levels layers and, adjusting the center slider, I enter 1.5 of lightening on one and .5 darkening on the other, and then flatten the image do the two equal and opposite adjustments cancel each other without altering the image?

Question 2:  Assuming the answer to Question 1 is yes, there's no alteration to the image -- if I adjust the first to 1.5 and the other to .6 does this create the same effect and using only one layer with an adjustment of 1.10?

Lightroom :: Handle Photos On Multiple Drives

Jun 22, 2012

I am using my computer as a combo video editing and Photo editing setup.  I using a raid 5 for my video editing work, and two 1TB drive setup as raid 1 mirror where my photos are located.  I am down to my last 325 GB that may sould a lot but I am planning on really taking off with my picture taking. I have a NAS were I also have my photos backed up.  I have not added my photos to Lightroom catalog.  I also have Photoshop. I understand it is better to have the photos located on the computer instead of external.  How dose Lightroom handle photos on multiple drives?Should I separate the two 1TB drives so I have two 2TB available and if so were to place lightroom Catalog folder?   Or should I make it easy on myself and just purchase a 2TB drives and place all the photos at that location?

Lightroom :: Moving Photos To NAS From Multiple Sources

Sep 11, 2013

I've reviewed the video tutorial on moving photos out of your main drive to another drive, and it seems reasonably straight forward.

However I have a mixed scenerio here, and I just want to check on the best and safest way to do this.

Before I settled on a NAS solution, and while I was running out of space on my Macbook Pro, I began using an external drive to hold both photos and catalogs.

Now that the NAS is up and running, what I would like to do is:

Move the ≈20K photos from the MBP main catalog to the NASMove the ≈1TB of photos from the external drive to the NASMove some of the corresponding catalags off the external and onto my MBP so they remain stand alone...Combine the remaining catalogs on the external drive into my main catalog on the MBP.

So again, I'm just casting for a best strategy from others who have done this, and what if any pitfalls to be wary of.

Photoshop :: Applying Adjustments To Multiple Layers

Aug 14, 2008

I'm trying to Key some footage in AE but one of my clips has jacked up exposure making it very difficult. I found the easiest way for me to fix the problem without having to re-shoot is to import the footage into PS converting frames to layers and adjust it accordingly then export back to QT mov. On a test layer I found that the shadow/highlight adjustment works the best. The problem is there doesn't seem to be a new adjustment layer that does shadow/highlight. I don't want to adjust every layer individually because there are over a thousand frames and it could take a long long time. My question is, Is there a way to apply the shadow/highlight to each layer at once?

Having just loaded 10,000+ scanned negatives in LR 4.3, I am applying Auto Tone as a starting point for development settings.  I have selected all images in Grid View, right-clicked to Develop Settings...Auto Tone.  I can then go to the Develop page and Auto Tone is shown in every images History.the Auto button is still visible and I can click on it and get different [generally better] settings.

Is there a reason why Auto Tone applied to multiple photos produces different development settings from when it is applied individually to each photo?

Lightroom :: How To Calculate Exposure

Sep 4, 2013

Why when Lightroom loads images (in develop module), all images turns gray and dark (the preview looks fine - expected exposure and full of colour). All settings are on 0, no auto tuning or presets are applied.

Also, when I take pictures (Nikon D4), they looks fine in my back screen and I would guess D4 knows how to calculate exposure. But in Lightroom they all come out at least 1 full stop unexposed, so after adjusting exposure I got unnecessary noise grain (and work).

I even tried to upload thought Nikon View NX (soft for Nikon transfers) first, as I was hoping that after importing files to Lightrooms I will also get camera colour settings (like Landscape, Portrait, Vivid, etc.).

This is screenshoot - when Lightroom loads/process all images they all turn so dark as selected image. Neighboring sunflowers all were the same, and they was as I expected them to be.. Before they turn dark...
