If I have a fat tube (or a rectangle really) on its own layer, how to I make it have a pointy end (like a tentacle). Ctrl-T does it okay, except it always changes the length and makes it fuzzy.
Now I'm somewhat happy with that, however, how do I make it less fuzzy? Make it look less anti-alialized?
I have a PDF that I know is 300 dpi. When you view the PDF, even at high magnification, the text on it is sharp (i.e., there is no pixelation).
I need to crop the PDF. So I opened it in Photoshop and, for reasons I cannot understand, SOME (not all) of the text on the page becomes somewhat pixelated after I open it in Photoshop.
Once I save the new doc as a PDF, that same text it is much less crisp than the original.
I haven't changed the DPI or the color settings of the PDF in Photoshop.
I am working on a project where I have a photo of a white object with three parts. I have defined each of the parts on seperate layers. Now, I have to change the color (of all 3 parts) to about 20 different colors, and save each of the 3 elements, by itself on a transparent background, as each of the 20 colors. So, this one photograph should yield me 60 jpegs. (can jpeg have a transparent BG, or do I need to save as a different web-friendly format?)
I need to repeat the same process for about 6 additional photos/objects... hopefully recreating the EXACT same colors I did on the first photo.
I am trying to replicate a logo that we own but lost the digital copy of. I happend to have the D in the logo but im trying to replicate the cone shapes pointed together in the backround. Along with the shading that is given. The effect is a point in the D but when you look at the big picture you can see how it all comes together.
I'm trying to make an effect I saw on a moive, the name of it is Holloweentown 2: revenge of kalibar. In that, there is a part where a boy's face is in a brick wall, you can see his face. How can i make that? The lines of the brick wall follow every curve of his face, its like 3d, I hope you understand what I mean. I tried that with the displace filter, it doesn't work that good. I can't find a pic of that anywhere either.
ei, how can u add the white thing on the sides of an image so that it would look like a picture, check out the example...
---> the picture has mm... can we call it a white space,( hehe sorry im newbie on phtoshop)so that the image would look as it is a real picture.---with the white space thing...
I have used Photoshop for years. I finally got Photoshop CS.
I can't do many things that I used to. One in particular is frustrating me beyond.....well anyway.
I just want to to a simple thing...Black background...and a polygon shape with another color. What happens everytime is the edges are antialised or look like a gradient. I want crisp edges and I can't seem to do it.
I'm looking for an effect/filter where i can turn a normal photo into an 60`s-80`s magazine photo, where the tiny microscopic circles of yellow-red-blue mix to make the correct colours, like machanic pointalism, where the image collapses if we look at it too close. I have no idea what to call this, I`d love to know. I`ve looked at the halftone effect, but it only seems to deal with two colours. is there any simple filter that can give me this effect simply?
Is cropping to a larger image the same thing as resampling...? I believe I was told it handled the information differently without adding extra pixels... is this true.?
I so often admire pictures where one item or such is in color while the rest of the picture is black and white or sepia. How do I do that? Im sure its simple but I am a photoshop rookie and dont know much. Can anyone help me?
I know this is the Photoshop section, but no one is on After Effects, I just got After Effects CS5, and I am using the new Rotobrush tool, but when ever I move the thing around that scrolls through the frames, my Rotobrush selections disappear, and I have to start over again. I have attached a couple pictures of my problem.
I am a beginner. I am looking at different progams to see which one suits me better and easy to work with. So far adobe isn't easy at all. Is there a way to take a black and white photo and make one thing in the photo in color? I have elements 11.
I've been using AutoCAD since, well, for many years now. But i've only learned the basics, and recently found out about the Architecture version which simplifies so much. My projects are usually just for fun, drawing my own home, or planning things, making cutting designs for furniture etc. I've recently made a pretty exact floorplan and facade view of my house in acad (not architecture) for an application to build a terrace outside my house, but this was in plain 2D...
Now, I want to start over, using my old drawings as a reference (layers, blocks, not to mention imperial template which nagged me with annotations, plots etc.), but the first thing I want to know is how to "work smart".
- Which template should I use, seeing that acad and acadiso isn't present? I want too use metric as default for all my drawings.
- Should I split it into several drawings inside a project file? (I have no experience with project files). Or should I just use layers and such?
- Can I draw the whole thing as 3D, and still get good floorplans, facade views etc without all the "noise" from other lines as there are no planes to cover the "background noise". I'm not (currently) planning any rendered 3D pictures, but it would be nice to to keep that option available.
- I'm also looking through the content browser (which is also new to me) for electrical installation components as switches, receptacles etc, but can't seem to find it.
Is there a key command to do what you just did? For instance, I build charts and sometimes I need to rotate every piece of the chart by 90 degrees... one piece at a time. Is there a key command that will just let me repeat this over and over? I'm using Illustrator CS6 on a Mac.
I don't want to rotate the whole chart, just pieces of it... that's why I don't just select all and rotate at once...
Is there a way in Inventor (or any other Autodesk Design Suite program) to find the point on a cone (attached jpg) where the lifting lug should go so that when lifted, the cone stays in the same orientation as in the attached picture.
Is there any easy way to create waffle cone like this. I tried simple bend modifier but it's not giving me correct curvy stitch just straight one and I need the red line on image. URL...
I am trying to fill a cone shape container with particles. Other then Realflow I can not seem to find any tutorials on this. I am currently trying this with Particle flow, i have selected the cone with UDeflector and that works i am also working in pview.
Assume that I have an odd pyramid 3D-solid say with a polygon basis that lies on a "floor". The apex was higher than the ceiling, so I "sliced" the pyramid to fit it right under the ceiling.
Now, I change my mind and want to make the ceiling slightly higher (say, 1"): after raising the ceiling I am left with a sliced pyramid that is cut 1"below the ceiling. Question is : what is the best way to re-extend the pyramid (and make it look like it was cut by the higher ceiling) ?
I cannot just "undo" because too many things happened in the meantime.
I can imagine re-creating the unsliced pyramid by press-pulling the upper sliced surface and then slice this extension with each side of the original sliced pyramid and ultimately re-slice with the new ceiling. Can I do better / faster than that ?
I am trying to place some objects on a cone. But i can't get it to work. The idea is that the 6 objects should be fitted on the cone so that they are placed all around the cone. But i can't get them to align with the angle of the cone. I have tried the 3D align, but this just doesn't work for me.
When I have a group of objects selected and I go to create a boundary around the entire thing to use as a cut line, sometimes parts of the group are excluded. I made sure all of the objects were on the same layer and that everything was indeed selected, but nothing I do seems to make a difference.
I have a cone shaped part and would like to put a hole in the curved face. I would like have to hole square to the face in the flat pattern so it can be cut on the plasma table, is there a way to do this? I attached the part with holes in the approximate location.
