View 2 Replies View RelatedFor my 3D scene, I have to use a texture file on the floor. If I use the only file, than it looks really boring and below par. What I want is, I want to generate some (around 6-8) texture files within the original texture file - so the colors of all the texture files remain same but only the texture varies.Likewise there are more than 500 texture files and I just can't do them manually. Is there any way out to do this in Photoshop?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a PDF that I know is 300 dpi. When you view the PDF, even at high magnification, the text on it is sharp (i.e., there is no pixelation).
I need to crop the PDF. So I opened it in Photoshop and, for reasons I cannot understand, SOME (not all) of the text on the page becomes somewhat pixelated after I open it in Photoshop.
Once I save the new doc as a PDF, that same text it is much less crisp than the original.
I haven't changed the DPI or the color settings of the PDF in Photoshop.
If I have a fat tube (or a rectangle really) on its own layer, how to I make it have a pointy end (like a tentacle). Ctrl-T does it okay, except it always changes the length and makes it fuzzy.
Now I'm somewhat happy with that, however, how do I make it less fuzzy? Make it look less anti-alialized?
I am working on a project where I have a photo of a white object with three parts. I have defined each of the parts on seperate layers. Now, I have to change the color (of all 3 parts) to about 20 different colors, and save each of the 3 elements, by itself on a transparent background, as each of the 20 colors. So, this one photograph should yield me 60 jpegs. (can jpeg have a transparent BG, or do I need to save as a different web-friendly format?)
I need to repeat the same process for about 6 additional photos/objects... hopefully recreating the EXACT same colors I did on the first photo.
Is there another plugin that does the same thing or similar as KPT equalizer? Or maybe a way to do it in PS without a plugin?

In that, there is a part where a boy's face is in a brick wall, you can see his face. How can i make that? The lines of the brick wall follow every curve of his face, its like 3d, I hope you understand what I mean. I tried that with the displace filter, it doesn't work that good. I can't find a pic of that anywhere either.

I have used Photoshop for years. I finally got Photoshop CS.
I can't do many things that I used to. One in particular is frustrating me beyond.....well anyway.
I just want to to a simple thing...Black background...and a polygon shape with another color. What happens everytime is the edges are antialised or look like a gradient. I want crisp edges and I can't seem to do it.
I'm looking for an effect/filter where i can turn a normal photo into an 60`s-80`s magazine photo, where the tiny microscopic circles of yellow-red-blue mix to make the correct colours, like machanic pointalism, where the image collapses if we look at it too close. I have no idea what to call this, I`d love to know. I`ve looked at the halftone effect, but it only seems to deal with two colours. is there any simple filter that can give me this effect simply?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs cropping to a larger image the same thing as resampling...? I believe I was told it handled the information differently without adding extra pixels... is this true.?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI so often admire pictures where one item or such is in color while the rest of the picture is black and white or sepia. How do I do that? Im sure its simple but I am a photoshop rookie and dont know much. Can anyone help me?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI try to do the radial blur it only blurs one thing at a time.
manually right clicked and rasterized everything and then merged them and it seemed to work, but there's got to be an easier way to do this.
How can I keep everything on the same layer?
Is it possible to disable the drag-up-and-down opacity change of the brush tool when alt+right clicking, only keeping the size change function?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to disable the little x and y axis thing that appears when Free Transform/Warping etc? It just gets in the way.

I know this is the Photoshop section, but no one is on After Effects, I just got After Effects CS5, and I am using the new Rotobrush tool, but when ever I move the thing around that scrolls through the frames, my Rotobrush selections disappear, and I have to start over again. I have attached a couple pictures of my problem.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a lava texture and a ground texture. I'd like to be able to make some cracks on the ground texture that would show through the lava texture below it. Something like a cracked mud look. I would be using this for a game I'm making form some terrain textures. Are there any plugins that would aid in making these transparent cracks and perhaps even add depth to the cracks?
I guess a spider web where the spider was on crack would be something I'm looking for. Similar to the following image:

I've been using AutoCAD since, well, for many years now. But i've only learned the basics, and recently found out about the Architecture version which simplifies so much. My projects are usually just for fun, drawing my own home, or planning things, making cutting designs for furniture etc. I've recently made a pretty exact floorplan and facade view of my house in acad (not architecture) for an application to build a terrace outside my house, but this was in plain 2D...
Now, I want to start over, using my old drawings as a reference (layers, blocks, not to mention imperial template which nagged me with annotations, plots etc.), but the first thing I want to know is how to "work smart".
- Which template should I use, seeing that acad and acadiso isn't present? I want too use metric as default for all my drawings.
- Should I split it into several drawings inside a project file? (I have no experience with project files). Or should I just use layers and such?
- Can I draw the whole thing as 3D, and still get good floorplans, facade views etc without all the "noise" from other lines as there are no planes to cover the "background noise". I'm not (currently) planning any rendered 3D pictures, but it would be nice to to keep that option available.
- I'm also looking through the content browser (which is also new to me) for electrical installation components as switches, receptacles etc, but can't seem to find it.
Is there a key command to do what you just did? For instance, I build charts and sometimes I need to rotate every piece of the chart by 90 degrees... one piece at a time. Is there a key command that will just let me repeat this over and over? I'm using Illustrator CS6 on a Mac.
I don't want to rotate the whole chart, just pieces of it... that's why I don't just select all and rotate at once...

View 2 Replies View RelatedThat opaque tool bar thing keeps disappearing. The one over on the right of the screen. Has the PAN command and a few other things. It just disappears at random. I'm sure there's a reason but I never notice any correlation as I'm busy when it happens.
I can switch to another drawing then switch back and it comes back. How do I easily turn it back on?

is there a way to get rid of the ucs icon/view cube thing in the top right corner?
I open up an old drawing with multiple viewports and half of them have this symbol. So I assume that there is a way to turn it off. Again, trying to make computer faster and not have a graphic symbol in all of my viewports.
I've been trying to select and area of a JPEG but the whole thing keeps moving around.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've created a picture in photoshop and then switched it to image ready. What i'm trying to do, is rotate the picture in a full circle....but whenever i try to change the angle of the picture, it rotates all of the frames not just the one i'm working in. I'm new to imageready and i think ive gotten beyond my capabilities, i played w/ actions, but don't really understand those either. Can anyone help me figure this out?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using a Mac. My windows friend sent me a jpeg of a piece of art we're working on. It looked fine in the web browser. It looked fine in Preview when I opened it, and it looked fine in Photoshop. But when I save it from photoshop after adding just a small thing to the image, the whole thing comes out a bit brighter. I have no idea what's doing it. I've tried Save For Web and Save As and it comes out the same each time. I have played with color settings in the past slightly, but it was my understanding that only affected how photoshop displays the image and I wouldn't expect it to change an image I imported then exported again.
