AutoCad 2D :: Maintaining Text Orientation With Copy-clip / Paste Into Different UCS
Oct 5, 2011When I copyclip a dimension from one drawing with UCS set to world/north, then paste into another drawing with UCS rotated in Z (south for example), the text remains oriented to north. The original drawing doesn't have to be set to world, just something different from the paste orientation.
Is there a way to have the text orient itself to the current UCS at paste?

Sep 10, 2012Whenever I try to copy paste a vector from Illustrator (CS6 64) to Photoshop (CS6 64) I get the following error:
I'm on Windows 7 and have my Scratch disks set to non-system drives. Have checked permissions and nothing is Read Only.
I can paste as Shape and Shape Layer but not Pixels or Smart Object.

CorelDRAW X6 :: Copy Vector And Paste In X4?
Jan 24, 2013I am not using X6 to fully create all of my artwork just yet. I'm still using X4 for my big jobs, but am fooling around with new features in X6 as I need them and am trying to copy them to the clipboard while in X6 and then paste them into X4.
Whenever I do this, the artwork that I paste into X4 is always pasted as an Object and not a regular vector file like what usually happens while cutting and pasting between previous versions.
Is this a bug or is there a setting that I'm missing in X6 to change it so that it will paste into X4 as a regular vector file?
To avoid this problem for now, I've been having to save the X6 artwork as CDR Version 14 and then import it into X4. It's a waste of time compared to hitting Cntrl+C and Cntrl+V...I know it doesn't seem like much more time, but it adds up over the day.

Aug 23, 2012Is there a trick to pasting a pixel-perfect vector image from Illustrator into Photoshop as a smart object, and not introduce a bunch of anti-aliasing that was not in the original file? My images are perfectly aligned with the pixel grid in Illustrator, and the pixel preview shows them correctly.
This page is useful for dealing with vector shape layers, but the techniques he talks about don't work for smart objects. Strangely, he says he doesn't have a problem with smart objects, but I do.
Here is an example of what I'm talking about: a simple 13x13 pixel image in Illustrator turns to crap in Photoshop when pasted as a smart object (I know an image as simple as this could be pasted as a shape layer, but the real images I'm working with are much more complex, and cannot be pasted as simple shape layers).
I'm using Photoshop CS4.

Apr 24, 2013I am trying to create a new document with new layers, but paste in an existing floor plan since it's the shell I need to be using. When I copy clip and insert into new file, all the layers import with it. I transferred everything onto 0 layers and went into my layer manager to try and delete the extra layers and it says i cannot delete o, xref dependent, etc. I want to create my own layers, and then assign the lines in the plan myself onto the new layers.

I would like to interconnect the letters, as well as an angel I have made to go above the letters. My question is, how can I join two seperate vector images into one vector image. For example, joining a letter E with a letter D. I wonder if theres a way to do this without having to delete part of each image and then re-draw, which is a pain. "error opening the portable document file (PDF) document. error code = 0X20030055"
I can open this pdf file outside photoshop.no problem openning other pdf files on photoshop.

In the right Mouse click drop down window the Paste, Paste as Block and the Paste to Original Coordinates are grayed out.
The copy with Base Point works, as does the Ctrl+V and Ctrl+Shift+V and repeat Paste Block from the recent Input drop down selection. Why the paste commands are grayed out?
Photoshop :: Changing A Bicycle Sprocket Size While Maintaining Shape?
Mar 28, 2012this is a stroke of a path of a bicycle sprocket with 32 teeth,after removing 4 teeth from 4 different parts(there is a pair of 2 different type of teeth after every 6 standard teeth,i want to remove 1 of these 6 in each of the 4 parts).
I do not know how to join up the open ends of the path to maintain the circular shape to produce a 28 tooth sprocket,the teeth size are not to change just the circle.

Dec 31, 2012I'm trying to batch save a series of PNG animation files using the File => Scripts => Export Layers to Files action in Photoshop CS5. Each layer has a transparency and a shadow that have been converted from layer effects and "baked" into the image. I tried the batch save but it turned all of the transparencies solid with white backgrounds. Also the image size was not cropped to the dimensions of the object on each layer.
Lastly, is there a way to edit the numbering for each file? When the images were exported it created a lengthy set of numbers after each file name when all I need is a 00 padding.
CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X6 :: Wrapping Image / Vector Or Vector Group Around Cylinder?
Jul 29, 2012I am having trouble doing this in my current software, Serif Drawplus, PSE, Photoplus, (I have Gimp but haven't used it ever yet). And I am considering buying X6 for use in other projects. So, can x6 do this in either Photo Paint with a bitmap, or in X6 with a group of Vectors?
I want to wrap a bottle with a logo. The mesh warps aren't working for me in the above applications, and envelope warping will not work either. Transform-Warp is not present in PSE. I mention that because I see a tutorial for PS using that. How would Corel X6 Suite do this? I am considering buying the software once some questions I have about it are cleared up. I wish Corel would make the manual and tutorial videos public. I'd rather download the trial for actually using it rather than trying to see if some feature is present, or a workaround for a feature a competitor has.
I am also hoping to make in this project, some 10-20 different bottles with the logo on, of different sized bottles and different rotations of the bottles. Plan D is acquainting myself with Blender, but lets hope I don't have to go that far!
