I can only find the original photo, is there anyway to find the photo that was a work in progress? I'm on a mac pro /snow leopard and have a seperate hard drive that I use as the scratch disk.

I would like to clone some things on my finished work... but it doesnt' work because apparently I have't put this finished compiled thing into a layer.

I don't have any idea why this happens, but I believe it's related to a disastrous proble I'm having today with InDesign CS4 where I've lost 4 days of work which had been saved in the usual manner. I've created some posters. I save the file as .tif and the other as .jpeg. I compared the thumbnails of the two pictures and notice that files saved in .tif seems to be darker than in .jpeg. Does what i've observed is true? If files, saved in .tif becomes darker, therefore, it does not retain the true color that you've assigned. Is it possible to retain the color even the file is saved in .tif

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhenever I open and use PS, then close it down, my Mac will not restart or shut down; it gets as far as that ‘wheel of death’ which keeps on turning, turning and turning, I presume forever. Force quitting PS permits closing down normally. I have uninstalled PS, reinstalled it to no avail. Thinking that my harddrive might be the problem, I ran it through TechTool Pro and that did not work. So I must have some file responsible for it. No other programs, Adobe or otherwise, cause this.

I tend to get errors when I save my work in Illustrator. A few read as follows:

"Can't Save Illustration"
"Not Enough Ram Available"

The last error I got read: "Can't finish previewing. There is not enough memory ID = -108" These errors don't happen all the time, but they occur often. And when they do occur, more often than not end up crashing Illustrator and can't save whatever I just worked on.
Here's what I've tried doing:
Cleared my Illustrator preferencesUninstall the whole Aodbe Suite > Run the Adobe Remover Tool > Reinstall Adobe SuiteRun disk clean up/defragmenterI get some of these errors even when I only have Illustrator and my browser open - no other programs are running except for anti-virus/malware software.Â

I downloaded the trial version of Photoshop cs6 just to test it, but it fails to launch. A Window comes up once I start it and I says "Photoshop has encountered a problem and needs to shut down", and obviously I can't even start it to see what it might be.

I've been using PSE 10 for a while on my OX S Mac. Processor 2.4 GHz intel core 2 duo, Memory 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, software 10.8.2.

It was not slow before but know it freezes up so much that it becomes nearly inoperable. I checked my memory and I have plenty of space. I shut down all the other applications. I boosted up the amount of RAM PSE can use. I decreased the amount of undo states PSE can keep. But even with all that, it still was slow. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, and that didn't fix the problem either.
I am using LR 4.3. I added keywords to my pictures. Some keywords got synonyms. I also checked "export synonyms" in the keyword options. When pressing Strg-S to save meta date into the files (all JPEG) all keywords are stored but without synonyms. When doing a normal export then synonyms are saved directly in the JPEG.

Is there a way to save the synonyms also with Strg-S or do I have to export all pictures and re-import them into LR? To be honest that would be not what I expect from a good software.
Once open Photoshop and clink on Edit, this message shows up, and if choose "Check online for solution..." no new action happen, the program shut down, restating does not work. Before there were no troubles with program.

View 8 Replies View RelatedJust loaded Inventor 2012 on a new computer. It seems to work OK, I can open and close files with no problem, but as soon as I try to shut Inventor down It lock up. The only way to shut it down in using task manager. After I try to shut it down the normal way Inventor continues to consume memory, (memory usage reported in the task manager continues to increase in size)!
Also once it is terminated in task manager and then restarted, the Inventor memory usage reported in the task manager continues to increase in size with no files loaded? Never leveling off. I have monitored it for several minutes after starting it and it continues to steadily increase in memory usage.
What is this used for? From reading, it seems as though if you use this command it is a way to turn on and shut off layers?

The source are mpg's created with the Sony Motion Picture Browser (taken with a DCR SR42 Handy Cam). I added title screens between my video segments. I then used the create disc link in section 3 to create a menu (linked to the titles I added previously). I then told it to make an ISO file. It reached ~ 85% of the title conversion (24% total) and the PC shut down. Not a crash, no errors, just shut down. I turn the PC back on and it boots up like normal, No unexpected shutdown screens, no safe mode, just normal boot up. I have downloaded and installed service packs 1 & 2. I was making a 16x9 video with standard ( not Dolby) audio.
