Photoshop :: Increased RAM Stopped My Loading Of...
May 23, 2009I did nothing with my computer but remove my little 512MB of RAM and install 2GBs. PS3 (yeah...a real early version) suddenly disappeared. I attempted to reinstall it but it will not install. I use PS3 most of the time because I am an old geezer and it is easy to use for what I use it for, But being very curious...why would it work on 512MB and not 2GB?Â
(I have Win XP home edition)

Oct 23, 2012Every time I apply a style to a shape or text all of the styles options and effects seem to be increased, the shadow will be longer, the stroke will be bigger, etc.

Sep 20, 2007I have recently got a new PC soley for photoshop and am eagley awaiting delivery of my copy of CS 3 to turn up, however this will be used to artwork photos for in a commercial portrait studio, due to nature of our work i am finding that previous copies are running a little bit slow and are really delaying our studio progess. Unfortunatly we are a very small team and currently don't have an IT expert to hand.
I have been doing my research and have read that better performance can be achieved by designating your scratch disks to different drives, again unfortunatly i only have 1 drive in this machine, i was wondering if i was to partition the hard drive into 4 sections would this increase the performance or not, and ifso what would be the best type of partitioning to use, i.e FAT/FAT32/NTFS/or any of the other types?
Photoshop Elements :: Menu Font Size Cannot Be Increased?
Feb 12, 2013I would like Abobe to create a patch for this problem affecting so many of us. The menu's font size cannot be adjusted in PSE. It is a HUGE problem for me. I cannot return the product, I lose money, but I am unable to continue with using it. I do not understand why Adobe keeps ignoring this problem. PSE would be a great product - only if Adobe listened to customer input. I am forced to think that Adobe simply does not care enough about its customers, especially not about the older population with presbiopia.

Mar 7, 2012We are working on a DWG file. Its a project my friend started and is of a house. She now started to bring in furniture from external files. Now her original DWG file is really big. Even if she deletes the furniture she brought in from external files, the original file is still bigger than it was.
I asked her if she could just copy the original 3D house to a new file. She said in a later version of AutoCad, she could just create BOX and save the objects to a new file, but she isn't sure how to do this in AutoCad 2012.
In Short: Is there a way to save her project? She can't even work on it now because the file is so big.

and: I cannot do (except for pasting another image) anything with the weakly checkered area??

Illustrator Scripting :: Can Low Performance Of CreateOutline() Be Increased?
Feb 8, 2012I wrote a little Script converting an Array of Strings to outlines for SVG export. I however find the results of createOutline() extremely unsatisfactory, especially when compared to the results of doing the job "manually" (Right click > create outlines).

Edge Animate CC :: OAM File Size Increased
Apr 25, 2013my .oam files getting bigger...i had a little animation that was 1.9mb and 1 month later i make the same animation and i' m getting a 2,9mb file.Not much, but this .oam file is part of a website...so size das matter..

Is there a way, to get smaller sizes? the files are alrready based on the animation size..the animation is 960x320pixels..and i made the pictures 100% based on that measurements..
AutoCAD 2013 :: Centerline Spacing Gaps Cannot Be Increased?
Jul 17, 2013I am doing a small drawing with bolts and nuts. I wish to show the centerline visible, but with CENTER2, and selecting the line for Property, I changed the Linetype scale to .25. However, the actual line on the drawing doesn't show a centerline but a continuous line. See, figures below. I wonder if the gaps between the small dash and the long lines can be increased.

Dec 28, 2012I am creating a slider for a site's Home Page, and specified a Stage size of 960 x 255 pixels in my Edge Animate document. When I inserted the .oam file from Dreamweaver (Insert > Media), the dimensions grew to 980 x 275 pixels. Manually correcting the dimensions does not correct the problem. The width remains wider, and a gap exists between the bottom edge of my animate object and the border graphic that overlays the object.

Dec 22, 2012I'm trying the trial version of Photoshop CS6, and I'm wondering whether or not it's possible to change the length of a shape with the amount of text entered into it, with the text still being editable? For example, if I had typed in 'hello', the size of the shape should be just big enough for the text to fit inside, without me having to change anything. On the other hand, if I typed in 'good morning', would I be able to make it so the size of the shape would change for the text to fit without having to use the transform tool?

Photoshop :: Saturation
Aug 21, 2006I have designed a brochure for a friend but the Printers say there is an issue with the saturation on the black.
The saturation I have done is apparently 400% but should be under 300%.
I assume the brochures are being digitally printed as opposed to traditional methods.
My questions are:
How do I find out what the saturation of the black is ?
....and how do I change the black saturation without changing the saturartion on the rest of the colours ?

Mar 22, 2004I go to use the Hue/Saturation Editor thing, Photoshop messes up on me. It goes to the eyedropper tool, the "X" in the top right corner goes faded, so that I can't click on it, but I can select colors on the picture (with the eyedropper) and on the little 2 color pallete thing in the bottom left corner, where it displays the foreground and background color. I can switch them, with the arrow, but nothing else, i can't switch layers, I can't select any other tools, or anything. Can someone help me with this? Also, this might help, I was following a tutorial that required me to change some sort of properties... a link to the tutorial is below; If you download the .PSD file, a warning box pops up on photoshop when you try and open it...

However, I've noticed that when applying a style to text (Baltic Sea Ice, for example), even after I rasterize the text layer, I am still unable to alter the color by changing the hue / saturation in order to match a precise color scheme. Is there another way to do this?

Oct 28, 2006I have an image that I want to lighten one color. I choose "color range" and select the color and it has dotted lines around it. Then, I want to play with that color or area of the image and try different saturations or colors. BUT, when I try that, the main layer with the image is not selected. So no changes are registered..... just the layer for hue/saturation is highlighted so I can't do anything to change this color. Seems that, automatically, the NON IMAGE layer becomes the only one I can work with when I select hue/saturation...

Apr 9, 2007When I save for web, I get a weird de-saturation in my image and I have never come across this before. This weekend I tried to save an image to be optimized, and it came out all digitized and looking like crap. So I wanted to go back and save it at the higher setting.
Now, there is no pixilation, but my colors are muted.
The bottom image is what it SHOULD look like, and the top image is what saves when I save for web.

Jun 26, 2009I have been running CS4 for about five months. There have been problems - speed, stability - but here is a new one. Out of the blue, selecting the Hue-Saturation panel eithe rthrough the menu or by keystroke brings up the eyedropper - functioning - but essentially crashes Photoshop. It goes on running - you get 'blind' menues - but it is impossible to switch the eydropper off and you consequently have to close CS4 from Windows. I have rebooted, it still happens.

Jan 16, 2005When I adjust the hue and saturation on a image (big adjustments like + 60 on sat, + 10 on hue) and click OK the colors revert back to about 15%, or less, of what I raised them to.
1. This only happens on a particular image that I scanned in.
2. This did not happen on the first few prints of this image (didn’t save settings, etc., so I had to redo the next time - a few days later). And it doesn't happen on any of my other images (non-scans).
I've tried reloading it from the CD that I burned and starting over, but it does the same thing.
(Using Photoshop 7 and trying to print with an Epson 2200.)
