I made myself a graphic, currently it is black and white, and I would like to add colour to it. Now when I want to go to (Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation) it is inactive, meaning I can't click on it. Well I can click but nothing comes up of course.
View 1 RepliesI created a vector mask, selected the area I wanted to work with, previewed it as I was refining my shape. It was all fine. However, I am not sure what I did that now both the inside and outside of the shape are greyed out and I can no longer see my vector mask as I orignally saw it. I am not sure if there is something I can do to have my vector mask again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI model a character and apply piped and envelope it, then half the time when I want ot give it footsteps from the motion panel, the option simply doesn't highlight and I can't press the button. I follow the same procedure for another character and it works. It works every time for a Biped without a mesh though, but with mesh its a matter of chance.

I have them all assigned in the Customize > Customize User Interface>Keyboard Tab but they are all inactive, forcing me to work like a snail with my left hand in my pocket. I've gone and checked for the shortcut files, done a RESET to max settings, Reloaded the UI, Restarted the computer, can't remember anything else I can to to sort it out.

I understand that CS Live is dead, but my Illustrator CS5 seems to be always "phoning home" and making my current document inactive until I click on the Illustrator desktop. This happens any time I pause using Illustrator for just a few minutes. Is this really a CS Live issue?Is there a setting that will keep my open Illustrator document from going inactive on me?

I got this weird error on Civil 2012, I have been working with Civil products for a few years now and have never had this happen till today. Other co-workers have had the same problem which only started to occur yesterday.
The Error; Was working on a drawing with multiple layers, surfaces, alignments, assemblies, corridors, and of course point groups. The screen froze for about 2 seconds when I was attempting to hatch an object, after the quick freeze all my layers (each assigned different colors) turned on (visible) and changed color to white. Everything on the drawing became inactive except for the save button and the close button. So I saved it and closed the drawing, I had other drawings open at the same time and these were never affected (still had color and could work on them). Since the save button was still working I never lost any work that I had completed but it is still annoying having to close and open the drawing since larger drawings can take a few min to open.
Is this an Autocad issue or is it something with our machines/network?

If I draw a path with the pen tool and later want to reactivate it, clicking the last anchro point to make the path active severs one of its control handles. Specifically the handle that is for the curve that is yet to be drawn. And after that I have to use the Convert Anchor Point tool to recreate both control handles and try to math the already existing one to its former place.
How can I fix this?
I have an inactive snap shortcut menu. When clicking shift + right mouse button the menu appears but when I typet
"E" for "ENDpoint", "M" for "Midpoint" or when I just click over the respective icons in the menu nothing really happens and I get the following message in the command bar:
"Command: _endp Unknown command "ENDP". Press F1 for help."
or
"Command: _mid Unknown command "MID". Press F1 for help."
I tried following, none of which worked:
1. resetting the main customization file ACA_Global.cuix
2. switching between different profiles and cuix files
3. reinstalling Autocad Architecture 2013
4. uninstalling and Installing Autocad Architecture 2013 service pack 1
5. installing older versions of Autocad (2008 and Architecture 2012)
6. reinstalling Windows 7 and installing Autocad Architecture 2013 again
I'm having this strange issue with the Photoshop type tool in Photoshop CS5. It might be, although I'm not sure, a bug. The tool itself is working and lets me add text and edit. But the box that shows up when editing text (and the blinking line that shows where I am in the text) - has gone invisible. I am having this issue in only one document. - I tested the type tool on other documents, and everything was normal. I've looked up shotcuts and hotkeys to check if I've tapped a key or something, but it doesn't appear to be so.
Now about the document; it does have quite the amount of text layers, and a lot of text in them. I've tried resetting the type tool, and I've restarted the program.
When I restart the program, the tool works as it's supposed to - but after editing or adding a new text layer, the editing area is gone again! Is this a bug, or have I touched keys that do odd things?
I have designed a brochure for a friend but the Printers say there is an issue with the saturation on the black.
The saturation I have done is apparently 400% but should be under 300%.
I assume the brochures are being digitally printed as opposed to traditional methods.
My questions are:
How do I find out what the saturation of the black is ?
....and how do I change the black saturation without changing the saturartion on the rest of the colours ?
I go to use the Hue/Saturation Editor thing, Photoshop messes up on me. It goes to the eyedropper tool, the "X" in the top right corner goes faded, so that I can't click on it, but I can select colors on the picture (with the eyedropper) and on the little 2 color pallete thing in the bottom left corner, where it displays the foreground and background color. I can switch them, with the arrow, but nothing else, i can't switch layers, I can't select any other tools, or anything. Can someone help me with this? Also, this might help, I was following a tutorial that required me to change some sort of properties... a link to the tutorial is below; If you download the .PSD file, a warning box pops up on photoshop when you try and open it...

However, I've noticed that when applying a style to text (Baltic Sea Ice, for example), even after I rasterize the text layer, I am still unable to alter the color by changing the hue / saturation in order to match a precise color scheme. Is there another way to do this?
Import scanned JPG, trace over lines, make colour mask, then just fill in appropriate colours.
Now my next step would be to use hue/saturation to make all the shadows and shading etc, but the hue saturation option is grayed out on the menu
I have an image that I want to lighten one color. I choose "color range" and select the color and it has dotted lines around it. Then, I want to play with that color or area of the image and try different saturations or colors. BUT, when I try that, the main layer with the image is not selected. So no changes are registered..... just the layer for hue/saturation is highlighted so I can't do anything to change this color. Seems that, automatically, the NON IMAGE layer becomes the only one I can work with when I select hue/saturation...
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I save for web, I get a weird de-saturation in my image and I have never come across this before. This weekend I tried to save an image to be optimized, and it came out all digitized and looking like crap. So I wanted to go back and save it at the higher setting.
Now, there is no pixilation, but my colors are muted.
The bottom image is what it SHOULD look like, and the top image is what saves when I save for web.
I created this effect in photoshop cs2 awhile ago and cannot remember how I did it. Does somebody know how to create this effect?

I know that 'Threshold' will highlight the darkest areas, but they may not necessary be the most saturated.
