View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to find out what process is employed to separate an image from its background. An image from one of the image services for example. I need for the actual image to be shed of the often white background in order to better work with an existing background on the graphic. It seems straight forward enough, I just have limited computer graphic chops.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIm new with Paint .Net. What i would like to do is get an image which is 4248 x 3163 and resize it to around 250 px - this was done successfully however the next part of this task was to paste this image onto another background and float it to the right. So you know this is supposed to be a logo.
Now should i create another new paint .net page with the size i have in mind and then paste it to the right?
If yes how could i create a nice background that blends into the image? The type of background i have in mind is a few lines with waves flowing left to right and fading away.
i have tried to cut and paste the car using the lasso, but it leaves the car looking rough around the edges.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have made a digital picture of a book page with my digital camera. My camera is a 12 mpix digital camera and it should make good digital pictures, at least in theory. The original picture made by the camera was 4000 - 3000 pixels big and I made a small chunk out of it which you can find in the attachment.
My problem is how to isolate text from the background to make almost perfect text selection. I need text for the OCR procedure so the text selection needs to be appropriate.
I have already tried some simple methods like magic wand, contrasts, brightness etc but this things look like a game to me. I would like to know if there is a systematic approach (channels, masks) to perfectly isolate black color from the rest of the picture and how to apply it.
Would it be possible to separate the text from the background, as in make the white background transparent (Or as close as possible)? Normally I would use the Alpha feature on Keynote, but the font is too tricky for me to do that. It would be amazing if you could remove the background and keep all the text (including cup).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a very simple PSD, so i'll try to explain this super simply..
one transparent layer, with just a pair or eyebrows, with the only added blend effect as 'multiply'
one background with a face, no eyebrows.
the layer blends the eyebrows in to the background face perfectly.
i want to save the layer as a separate file keeping the tranparency and including the result of the multiply effect, without the background.
the reason why i want to do this may confuse things, but basically i want several different eyebrow colours to be interchangeable over this face in an application that doesn't recognise the blending link with the background, so i want to save it in PS !
I want to separate a photo image (A truck in this case) from its background to create a logo. On After Effects it is done with the Robobrush.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an image that I've made in illustrator / Photoshop and I noticed that when I save the image as a JPEG out of Photoshop after it is finished it looks way different that it does while in Photoshop.
I merged the layers just out of curiosity and it looks that way after all of the layers are merged. Why it is doing that. Is there something I can do to change this? it is just happened to one of my images. I have multiple pieces in this style and it hasn't happened to any of the other ones.
I am trying to save all the layers I have in my PSD file as separate layers in a folder that I created. I trying to do this by going to File- Scripts- Export Layers to Files but when I set it up and do this I get an error message saying:
"General Photoshop error occured. This functionality may not be available in this version of Photoshop. -The command "Duplicate" is not currently available."
I am not sure why this is saying "this version" considering I installed it not too long ago and the document has been made a few days ago meaning I never even used another version of photoshop. I have all the layers visible too and even selected them. I am using Photoshop CS6 by the way.
I am using Creative Suite 5.5 on my MacBook Pro...and today had issues demonstrating the simple process of dragging one person/image onto another, applying a quick mask to do some simple morphing.
But...one, I couldn't drag the image from the internet and drop onto the project, but had to go to Edit and copy, then create a new file and hit paste. Placing one image side by side to another...I was not able to drag the image of one person to drop onto the other. I either had to use the marquee tool, drag around the image, copy and paste or...found I could drag the image from its layer in the layer's palette and drop onto the project.
More frustrating was that once I had both images in the same project, I was not able to move the new person/image added to locate in right position over the background person/image. I would drag it to that new location, and it would snap back to the original location. Obviously the need to take any image added and move it around to orchestrate your image is important.
I have asked a number of artist friends, checked the mode (both images are RGB) and both images at 8 bits...
I presume it is a simple command that will release the image to stay where located using the Move tool...but am not familiar enough with Suite 5.5 obviously.
way to automate the process of adding my company name and most important file name to the image. What I want to do is, before sending a preview to the client, to put my company logo and name of the file directly on the image, let's say in the right and left lower corner of the image. My clients usually want to print the images and have the file name right in front of them so that after they choose the image they can tell me which of the versions/files they like, without going back to computer and looking for the file name there.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI seem to be having problems when I lasso round a specific part of a photo taken with a white background and then try to add that part of the image to a plain #000000 black background.
I always seem to get a white outline around the image when I place it on the black background, even when its on ZERO feathered. I don't like using feathered as it adds a smudge round the outside of the image.
How do I make a panorama image in Elements 11 from 5 separate photos?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo what I need to do is to take the following
filename (1) from Folder (A)
filename (1) from Folder (B)
Open in Photoshop and run an applescript to combine the two images and save the result to a location.
Then
filename (2) from Folder (A)
filename (2) from Folder (B)
Run the batch again and again until all images in the sequence are processed in both folders.
Was looking into an Applescript that may do the job but can't seem to find anything. Happy to look at purchasing a solution if it is available.
I have some very old GB postage stamps which can be identified by their plate numbers. The plate number, which is engraved in the design of the stamp, has an effect on the stamp's value. Unfortunately on a number of stamps the cancellation mark obliterates the plate number. I would like to be able, in a digital image, to lift the image of the cancellation mark to reveal the design underneath.
I have tried using Adobe and Corel imaging software without luck.
I have two jpg images in two separate windows. I want to put one of the jpgs onto the other...like layering it over a particular part of the other image. When I attempt to do this the image doesn't show up in the receiving window and disappears from the originating window. I also tried to do a regular copy and paste between open windows and that doesn't work either.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am working on tiny comic-strip frames that are being drawn as seperate images and when it comes to colouring, there is a time-consuming snag where I forget the exact colours of the finished frames which I need to keep checking and seeing earlier single images in order to compare and then reproduce the colours accurately in a consistent sequence.
Believe it or not, I get around this problem by taking digital still camera shots direct off the screen and consulting them afterwards! This does work, but it's hardly practical------is there an easier way to repeat the exact same colors on a separate image, without having to constantly refer to pre-existing images within GIMP? If I can reproduce the exact colours on different images automatically without having to recheck earlier images, this would save me a lot of time!
[Ideally, does every shade of colour have a code number or similar method I can enter and it will come up again accurately? This way, I could write down the shade number and repeat it exactly later on a new image where the exact same colour is required.]
The sheer number of shades of colour and tones make it very difficult to remember the exact colours accurately.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI’m a 3DS Max transfer. In 3DS Max there is an option to open an image file for modeling reference in a separate window within Max which always stays on top. This is NOT an image plane to model off of but an IMAGE FILE, a picture i can get the details from that don’t show in a drawing or plane. Currently I open images or groups of images(NOT SEQUENCES) in the default OS file viewer program. This is fine with a dual monitor setup, where I throw the reference images to the other screen. But what about when I’m on my laptop on the go or have no other monitor? Currently I’d have to open the same program, have it underneath MAYA and flip back and forth, which is a very big hassle over time. I’d like to be able to open a small, resizable window WITHIN maya and view the image file(or files!) there so I can move it around my workspace and glance over to it in an instant.
I still want my four panels or all of my panel space to work with. With it being resizable i can even shrink it down to get the gist in the upper right corner where no icons are even zoom in on parts with such a small window.
This Q must be very old. Why can´t someone invent a sigle button for this I have tried all the things by the book but still when I try to lay text image with white background over an image the white is still there althoug I made it transparent. tried to sa for web as png-8, png-24 and gif. nothing works. To use magic wand gives bad result when applied to text? So what can I do? I am trying to place text over image. I know I could write it over the image but I need the text as a transparent layer some place else.
