Photoshop :: How To Join Template And Picture Correctly?
Dec 15, 2007
I do book cover design use action script. There is basic PSD template, which has high resolution 300dpi and large image dimens. 2200 x 1450). I should insert a picture which has much lower resolution 96dpi and smaller size 430 x 640 pix. I need that this picture covered full area, i.e. had the same size as a front cover (at least same height). If I just copy and paste this picture it have very small size due different resolution and dimensions. If I just lower the resolution and dimensions of a PSD template to correspond my picture, this gives error when action script run (in Step2), and also it is inconvenient to work with small template. How to join template and picture correctly?
to make large magnets with my own picture. Vista Print has these guides for making the pic.
Full Bleed Size (starting document size) 5.59" x 4.33" 142mm x 110mm 1677 x 1300 pixels * Finished artwork should use the full bleed dimensions for best results.
Document Trim Size (final size after being cut) 5.47" x 4.21" 139mm x 107mm 1642 x 1264 pixels * keep all text within the safe margin. Resolution 300 DPI
They are telling me to verify:
1. final document size is correct. (5.59" x 4.33")
2. all background colors and images bleed to the edges of the document at the full bleed dimensions (5.59" x 4.33").
3. all important text and images are within the safe margin (.137” from the edge of your document).
4.resolution is 300 DPI at 100%.
5. all fonts are converted to outlines (Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw).
The command to JOIN two overlapping anchor points as a SMOOTH join is not working (at least, on Mac). Â "The join option only results in a corner join regardless of whether you select anchor points to join or the entire path. However, for overlapping anchor points, if you want the option to select a smooth or corner join, then use Ctrl+Shift+Alt+J (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+Option+J (Mac OS)."
In elements 11 layers is there a way to create a white mobile template that sits over a background picture? I need to create a white boarder around a standard 4x6 picture, to create a picture with very specific dimensions, to expedite the trimming process on the final print. This "mobile white template" would allow me to select part of the picture. This White boarder would act a little like a mobile picture frame.
arc was defined with line's end points and radius, so I'm positive that this drawing is continuous.
Steps I take: pedit click do you wish to turn into polyline y j Select objects: 1 found Select objects: 1 found, 2 total [enter] Select objects: 0 segments added to polyline [enter]
I had no problem turning other arcs into polyline...
I have a problem where I am unsure if my upgraded template is incompatible with Revit 2013 or is there something else at play. Â If I create a precast stair in default template I get "end with riser" turned on automaticaly. If I copy that stair to my template and create new stair, "end with riser" is turned off and I manually have to adjust stair afterwards. Â Problem is "end with riser" is now an instance parameter of stairs and I can't find where to change the default value. Â Why is the stair type that works in default template stuffed when copied to my template?
I am exasperated by PS 7 again. Â Someone has emailed me an old document in two sections (JPGs) and I want to "knit" them together again to make one document (JPG). Â I've spent ages in PS7 trying to do this, to no avail.
I recently scanned a poster but it was too big so I scanned twice to get the full of it. With PS7 I wonder if possible to re-join them as the original ? I tried the "basic" way of copy and paste which is copying 2 parts into a new file but the outcome not look right.
I need to do something that I've done a hundred times before with simple image editors on my old Windows desktop, but now I have a shiny new MacBook Pro with an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription, so I'm learning to use Photoshop CS6. Â I have an image someone sent me that has text at the top and bottom of the image and too much "white space" in the middle (it's not white, but work with me here). I want to cut that part out, to have the middle disappear and the top and bottom sections join. Â how to make the middle disappear (I used the regular select instead of crop, selected the middle, inverted my select, and chose Cut). But the top and bottom parts don't join. Â I asked my Photoship savvy co-worker and she told me all about making layers to do this and that, and overlapping (offsetting?) copies of the image. My ears began to ring. This CAN'T be so complicated. With the free photo tool on my Windows machine, I could highlight what I wanted to get rid of, press Delete, and it would remove that part of the image and join the top and bottom pieces.
I know that while I'm working with an image if i hit the DELETE key it removes the last place point when using a lasso tool, but is it possible to undo the JOIN UP at the end of a lasso loop? If I press the DELETE key at this point it deletes whats inside the loop?
The problem is that I'm forever accidentally clicking too fast when using the lasso tool which automatically joins the lasso loop up. Is there anyway to UNDO this final step?
I am creating a vector shape and I was wondering how to join points. Here is a sreenshot so that you understand my problem better: Or is this just not possible is photoshop and I have to use Adobe Illustrator ?
I'm using PSE10 on a Win7 (64bit) OS. When I delete a picture (from catalogue and harddrive) the PSE-Organizer tends to jump down several pictures (Haven't been able to determine a fixed number), so I have to go up again and browse through the same pics a couple of times.
when i go into the editor and pull up a picture and blue background appears behind the picture and circle enters the screen. how do i get out of this?
I'm trying to layer them all on top of each other.
When I copy one partially transparent GIF and paste it on to the second partially transparent GIF the transparent section turns white and is no longer transparent.
Therefore covering up the contents of the prior GIF.
In short, please have a look at the three attached pictures, I would like to have all three on top of each other showing all buttons.
I have several pictures. Each "pair of picture" shows the same person on the same background/perspective/settings (using a tripod) -- but with the person on a different position. Now I want to crop these pairs of pictures. Now I am recording my cropping of the first picture as an action and repeat the same step via this action on the second picture. Â But it is possible eg to record my cropping via a shortcut and execute the cropping with another shortcut to the next picture (the "next actually opened" picture) just to do this faster?
I made this technical detail. To make an arc I use ''tan, tan, radius'' command. It looks like arc and circle is joined together, but if I move closer as you can see they aren't joined together. So how can I join them? I tried 'join' command but it won't work for me or maybe I don't know how correctly use this commad.
I have two roofs that I am trying to join. It consists of two Gables. The eaves and type of cuts are the same, but it still says they can't be joined. Attached is an example of what is happening. The shown highlighted image is actually what I am trying to achieve.
