Photoshop :: How To Get Vertical Line Screen Effect
Apr 24, 2013
How can I convert a grayscale photo to a vertical LINE B/W image (no grayscale)? I can't find a way to do it with the filters in PS CS6. Is there a plug-in that will do that?
why there black vertical edges of the screen to create a DVD with Corel VideoStudio Pro X4. Video using 16:9 ratio - the relationship between the original. (I get the same 4:3)
I use Photoshop 7 & do a lot of cleanup of bitmap/tiff images, such a logos & symbols that need cleaning up around the edges etc. Holding the shift down while drawing with a brush in eraser, etc. mode creates a straight horizontal line & that makes cleaning a horizontal edge easy & quick.
Is there any keystroke combinations that will draw a perfectly straight vertical line?
Here is my situation: I want to draw a vertical line on the left-hand side of my workspace about an inch away (to the right) from the left edge. Then I want to fill up that inch-wide column with a particular color. The end result being that I will have an inch-wide bar of color running vertically down the left side of my project.
I know this is probably really easy to do but it's been a long time since I had a course in Photoshop.
I should be able to apply an effect to a line that has been made with the line tool. Why is this not working?I thought that maybe I might have disabled Effects somehow, but I can't think of anything.
I've been trying replicate the effects used with this very interesting website called photofunia. How it works is you choose an image out of their selection, then choose a picture with a face to upload. Within seconds it photoshops the face you chose perfectly in the image.
my image chopped into their stock image
Notice the tv lines accross the screen? Well they seem to not be visible on a portion of his face. Right in the center of the screen, the lines aren't visible like the rest of the screen.
I've created a non-symmetrical curtain wall mullion profile. When I assign that profile to a vertical curtain grid line, it is flipped in the project. In the attached image, you can see that the brace on the right in the family plan view is on the left in the project plan view.
I know how to make a solid straight line using the pencil tool. I know I can create a shape with a border using stroke and select area. But...
How do you make a straight vertical dashed (dotted) line?
Something about paths and holding down the shift key, but that doesn't do anything, no line shows and it doesn't like "snap" to a vertical position.
I'm trying to make a dotted line to be line a guide line for cutting when you print the image out on paper. Like the perforated line on a movie ticket or boarding pass.
I am running AutoCAD 2012 and i am having a problems with drawing a line. The problem i have with it, i have changed some settings and i can't remember what i changed. But how to change it back.
First let me explain what i am talking about. Once i am in front view and trying to drawing a line vertical and with ortho on, it will not allow me to draw a line vertically either up or down, only horiztonal. It looks like to me that ortho is lock on top ortho only.
Running Autocad 2010 in trial mode and did something that created a vertical dotted line giving me an unusable area on the right side of my workspace. I've attached a pic, if I did it right.
Saw a similar question regarding a verticle black line at end of sequence. Answer was that it was an indicator of the end of the video and wouldn't show in final.
Using Autocad 2014 and would like away to put a vertical line at the text where the leader meets it. Is this a setting that I'm missing or might there be a Lisp routine to get it? See the attached jpeg.
Is there a way to draw a perfectly vertical or horizontal line in Xara (Designer Pro 6) without manually lining it up with the grid? Sometimes I just need an instant horizontal or vertical line and I find I have to turn on the grid, zoom right in and meticulously place the pen tool so that the line is a perfect vertical (90 degrees) or horizontal (180 degrees) without slant or lean. Surely theres a quicker and more reliable method?
I am using revit LT 2014 and just can't get a material to be be painted on a wall. I would like to apply a 6" veritcal line pattern to look like v-groove board - I create the material, applied the pattern, but when I use the paint function I get nothing
I'm self taught on Illustrator, so I occasionally come across something that's probably really basic, but I am totally stumped. I think this is one of those things. All of a sudden, some of my Illustrator files have a dashed line running vertically down the center of the page. I can manually delete the dashes, but what is this and surely, there's a better way to get rid of it?
I created a Yin/Yang symbol, but for some reason it has a vertical line through its center. The line disapears sometimes after I move the symbol. It disapears in outline mode. Why is it thre? How do I get rid of it?
I have a grouped object with a line in it. I want to rotate the grouped object so, that the line in the object is horizontal or vertical. Now I do it by hand, this takes a lot of time.
I'm pretty new and have a simple problem that for some reason I can't figure it out! And that is how to make a series of lines on the image that are all perfectly horizontal or perfectly verticle. This will be part of a chart and the lines will be dividers. So the chart will have basically 21 rectangles with 3 rectangles across and 7 rectangles down.
So, I KNOW how to use the straight line tool to make the vertical and horizontal lines but I don't know how to keep the lines perfectly vertical and horizontal and parallel with each other!
Struggling with an Educational version of 3ds Max 2013, and all of a sudden I can't seem to draw a vertical line (or shape) up the z axis in the perspective view -- I seem to be locked to the x/y plane and am loosing my mind...
When I view an image at full screen a slight ripple effect appears, I thought it was just an issue with my GPU rendering settings and the ripple goes away when I zoom in on the image.
The problem is this ripple effect is showing up on the printed image.
I have been using Elements 8 for some time and recently purchased an ASUS monitor that is at home in both vertical and horizontal modes. Can I change the Elements 8 format to work in a vertical format to accommodate the larger size possible with a vertical image. It is difficult to manipulate the functions in Elements when the mouse is working in a horizontal mode and you are viewing a large image in a vertical format. If the format of the Elements 8 software can be changes to vertical, any protocol (directions) to accomplish this?
How to make Multi Leader end line landing or turn 90 degree vertical? I just want to use the leader point to the part and no text at the end of the leader. I guess the only way i know how to do right now is to exploded the M-leader and draw a line vertical down which is not recall proper way . Some people like to use just Leader not Multi leader but i like to use M-leader so i can enter the text in difference line. (See Pic below)
Is there a way to restrict a dimension line to only measure vertical or horizontal?
I am trying to put in the vertical dimension from the center of circle "A" to the center of circle "B", however, when I select the center of "A" and move to "B" the dimension flips to Horizontal.
Is there a way to restrict this tool to Horizontal or Vertical?
i have an issue in with my created sheets that does not show vertical alignment data. everything on the bands shows up nicely but the lines, curves and labels profile are missin.
see the attached image. you can notice from the image that there is no a signle data..
I created a road centerline profile and corridor and then created a profile of the two curb lines from the corridor. The road profile that I made has a vertical curve in it but the curb profiles do not show that information, just grade breaks every 25 feet based on the corridor sampling distance.
I would like to have the vertical curve information on the curb profiles.
recently obtained photoshop limited edition. I like the 'scan line' effect on images people have used with full edition copies of photoshop and wondered if a plugin somewhere exists to make it available to the limited edition?
