I created a Yin/Yang symbol, but for some reason it has a vertical line through its center. The line disapears sometimes after I move the symbol.It disapears in outline mode. Why is it thre? How do I get rid of it?

All of a sudden, some of my Illustrator files have a dashed line running vertically down the center of the page. I can manually delete the dashes, but what is this and surely, there's a better way to get rid of it?

I have a few (13) circles, they are connected with lines (one line from the centre of a circle to the centre of the next one, so 13 connecting lines). I need to move the circles around in order to create the appearance that suits me best, but I want the connecting ending to move together (see picture below). I need to do this often and get an immediate visual feedback. How do I do it? Am I using the wrong software altogether?
While using the 3D extrude and bevel tool, specifically the isometric preset from the position drop down menu. I am noticing that when I expand the shape (in this case a perfect cube), the vertical paths are not exactly perfect, and are not truly vertical, but off slightly. Is this something that can be fixed or adjusted in the settings, or is this how the tool works?

I'm currently trying to automatically cycle through all the parts in a given assembly within a drawing and place a sketched symbol at the COG of each part using C# (Visual Studio Express 2010 with Inventor 2012). The main code snippet is as follows:

I've tried several routes, but this is my basic approach. I feel like I am missing some GeometryIntent or something of that nature as the Sketched Symbols are showing up at the correct position but they are not associated with the given part (I've attached a screenshot of what is currently happening - the wipeouts you see should be displaying a property in them that is associated to the part). I also do not want the leader to be visible.
I have an FDO layer which I am styling like so:

', FDO_LAYER2 ) )
This layer is styled so that all text is centered. In this case, FDO_LAYER2 is having it's text left aligned. I'm pretty sure this is due to the method I am using for a new line. Is there something else I can use to break the line and maintain the center styling?
Using a second point for FDO_LAYER2 is not an option.
In the iProperties, in the Mass properties are the coordinates of the center of gravity. i guess they relate to the center point and axes in the main origin folder, right?
How can i show and measure from the genter of gravity symbol in parts and drawings?
We've got a sketched symbol that locates to the center of holes on a part.Problem is, the symbol either doesn't recognize the hole's center and even if it does, the center of the symbol (the designated insertion point) jumps to the edge of the hole.I've even recreated the symbol and I get the same effect.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI choose the vertical type tool or the vertical type on a path tool or the vertical area type tool...and all I get are letters that are rotated 90 degrees clockwise that go down in a vertical line. The effect is the same as if I took one of these lines that I am typeing here and rotated the entire line 90 degrees clockwise. That is not the effect I want. I am tying to get vertical letters stacked on top of one another in a line going vertical. I watched videos and they simply pick the tool and it functions this way, but when I pick the same tool I do not get this vertical orientation of the individual letters, but the 90 degree rotated letter.

How do I change that to default to rotating on the selection center by default?

I've created a non-symmetrical curtain wall mullion profile. When I assign that profile to a vertical curtain grid line, it is flipped in the project. In the attached image, you can see that the brace on the right in the family plan view is on the left in the project plan view.

I am running AutoCAD 2012 and i am having a problems with drawing a line.The problem i have with it, i have changed some settings and i can't remember what i changed. But how to change it back.
First let me explain what i am talking about. Once i am in front view and trying to drawing a line vertical and with ortho on, it will not allow me to draw a line vertically either up or down, only horiztonal. It looks like to me that ortho is lock on top ortho only.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble plotting a symbol over a line. For example, I'm doing a corner record and need to put our symbol for a set pipe on the corner of the property line. Our symbol for a pipe is just an open circle. I want to put the circle on the corner and do not want the the property line to be shown inside that circle. Essentially I want to make it look like I trimmed the line inside the circle but I want to leave the line intact so there is no gap in the boundary. What is the way to do something like this?

The '@' symbol take time to register - instead of registering immediately as previously. I now have to check the command line each time and allow a moment for it to register before entering the values.
