View 1 RepliesI've tried to figure out the pattern of how the command works for inputting partial customization menu toolbar names but I'm unsuccessful.
You should be able to show and hide partial customization menu toolbars with the -toolbar command because it can hide all toolbars including my partial customization menu toolbars currently shown. I've tried the toolbar menu alias (defined in the CUI command) and the name (refer to this link to the same image embedded below) and none work.
I really like using Photoshop, but every once and a while I get this problem when I'm using Photoshop 7.0:
On the toolbar to the left-hand side (default), when I left-click a tool, the menu option for the other buttons (ex. Paint Bucket and Gradient) pops up. The strangest part is that it sometimes does this, and sometimes doesn't; I have never done anything to turn it off or on.
I would really like to turn this off, because it is incredibly distracting when I am switching through a lot of tools on a project!
I'm still in the process of migrating myself from Corel Photopaint to Photoshop CS3 (on XP) and there's only one thing remaining I don't know how to do.
On Photopaint I could add/remove icons from toolbars and make my own toolbars. You could add an icon that represented any menu option. So I had my toolbar setup with File Save, File Save As, Copy, Cut, Paste, Remove Selection, Crop to Mask, Flatten Image, etc etc. All the things I did regularly were always visible and just one click. I know all things are available with keyboard shortcuts but I usually tend to avoid them as I use so many different applications. I use the obvious basic ones (ctrl-s, ctrl-o, ctrl-f4, ctrl-p, ctrl-c/x/v etc) but anything that isn't standard across apps I don't use.
Are custom toolbars possible in PS CS3? As with most things with PS so far,
ive had to reinstall photoshop after my pc crashed, now the problem i have is ive lost the second tool bar under the main one , the one that contains the redeye removal button (i still have the one on the left).
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis is hopefully something simple that I am just missing, but am panicking! I can toggle the tools bar on and off, but all that appears is the little slice of blue with the feather on - no tools, and no obvious way to get them back! I'm slightly freaking out as have a mammoth design project on, and whilst I have re-downloaded a trial version its only got a few days left on it and i'll never finish in that time!
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy submenus in the toolbar are missing. For example, when I click on the bandaid, I can only access the healing brush. I cannot see the spot healing tool or others.
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Photoshop Tool bar in CS 5 constantly closes on its own. I have to go very often to Window menu to re-open Tool bar.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Win 7 and just got the CS5 Premium installed. Everything is fine in the other programs but Photoshop's toolbar and swatch pallette are so small that it is very hard to work with. The menu bar(file, edit, etc) all across the top look like they are are a 2 pt. font. They are also very hard to read. I tried setting it to large in the preferences but it didn'tchange anything.

The default color for the menu/toolbars is a dark gray. The menus that unfurl are a tan.
Is there any way I can make the actual Photoshop toolbar bigger? I have a big computer screen, and it seems really small.
I have Photoshop CS3.
Normally I do all of my initial editing in Raw Editor and then save the files to a 16-bit Photshop format file. In Photoshop, all my Nik and PhotoKit filters work fine as well as adjustment layers.
But when I try to use any of the tools, e.g. clone, healing, dodging, burning, all I get is a hand cursor on the photo and I cannot do whatever it is that I want to do with any of the tools. Am I missing something in the setup?
I am having problems with using the rubber stamp tool while recording an action for a batch process. The rubber stamp is not being picked up by the action. Is there a way to record the toolbar functions within an action?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI can't access all of my toolbar on the lhs of the editing mode of elements 11. It stops at the crop tool and I can't see or access what is below that. I am using Windows 7 on a Notepad.
View 6 Replies View Relatedthere is a tool bar at the bottom of my screen (im in expert mode) which covers up my color options window. The toolbar includes "photo bin, tool options, undo/redo, rotate, layout and Organizer. I cant drag or move it anyhow.

View 18 Replies View RelatedSo, my laptop crashed, and I had to start again from scratch. I reinstalled Photoshop CS4 from my CD, and it loaded fine. Only now, no matter which tool I choose from the toolbar (blur, zoom, clone, etc,) it will only show the Hand (move tool?) And that doesnt even work.

I'm having a display bug with the menu toolbar icons in Photoshop CS4 Extended. The icons don't show when mouse hovers over them and they don't show at all for the drop down menus. Can this be fixed?
I'm on WinXP, Athlon 64 4000+, 3GB ram, GeForce 6800 GT video card [driver 181.20]. I'm not sure if this is a video driver bug or CS4 bug.
I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to get PS to Open documents in front of my toolbar. I'm sure PS7 can do it somehow??

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just installed PS CS6 this evening on my 32-bit Win7 laptop and on my 64-bit Win7 workstation.
Everything went just fine for the installation on both PCs. I always go about setting up my Preferences right away, and I immediately noticed the handy toolbar icon in PS for jumping over to Bridge is gone.
I see that CNTL + ALT + O will do it, but hey! Once in Bridge, the toolbar icon to jump back to PS is still there (the little boomerang icon). Is it really gone, or is there something that I need to change to have it suddenly re-appear?
i have photoshop 6.0 and I was trying to follow a tutorial on how to make glittering animated text (or images)
and *I know this sounds dumb* but I accidentally got out of the layers toolbar i guess it was, and i can't get it back. Or rather i don't know how.
You know... how there's toolbars for color and stuff on the right, i got out of the layers toolbar and need it back. It's a little confusing to make the animated text with layers etc.
Basically i was adding *noise* in one layer and adding noise in another layer but with a different number. I was supposed to click on the image ready button and have it be animated but it wasn't working.
i'd really like my layers toolbar back.
I was entitled to a free upgrade to CS4 which I have installed but I now have many problems in trying to get CS4 to run properly.
1. Sometimes CS4 will open but the toolbar with FILE, EDIT is missing
2. Mostly when I open CS4 IF I click on 'FILE' everything is greyed out apart from Import, Automate and scripts and CS4 hangs.
3. If I click on FILE to try and open a file that too is greyed out until I click on 'Clear open recent'
4. If I open a image and want to get rid of any blemishes with the spot healing brush I can select the tool, click on a spot and a nice splodge is left on the image but the tool does not clear the blemish until I click on a completely different tool. eg. Text or anything.
5. Using Unsharp mask As I move the 'Radius' Nothing happens for ages.
So I have absolutely no idea why this these things are happening.
My System is Windows Vista
4GB Ram (although CS4 only thinks I have just under 2GB
CPU Intel Dual core 2.2GHZ
Graphics card is a NVIDIA Geforce 7300 GT and last week I downloaded a new driver to 7.15.11.7824
I have played with the cache and memory allocation, to no avail
How do I make the toolbar/icons larger?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having a hard time viewing the tool icons and constantly have to squint and put my face on the screen to choose a tool! I'm using a PC in case that matters.
