I am trying to make warp text like this picture. But when I do "warp text" it never comes out like that. I try the different "lower and upper arc), my text becomes a little rounded at the bottom (its suppose to be straight). Is there a special to create this type of warp text?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to warp the shadow of some text for a logo much like the image attached. I can't figure it out at the moment, as when I use the warp tool it's changes the actual text.
I would like to keep the actual text as normal and then warp it's shadow.
When I use the 3D tools in PS CS6, the render is 'warping' the clean lines in an odd manner.Notice the curves on the C and O are getting points and straight lines in the top left corners? And the inside of the O is showing some strange distortion.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIf you have a text layer on the Video timeline in PS CS6, there is an option to use key frames with Text Warp. Unfortunately, unlike other key framed animations, the change from one warp state to another is not gradual. It simply jumps from one warp selection at one key frame to another warp selection at the next key frame. Converting it to a Smart Object removes the Warp Text animation option but retains the animation.
Is this behavior by design?
bending text around the outside of a circle. The arc command under warp text doesnt quite arc it as much as I want it to. Is there another way to arc/bend text?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI opened an old file, probably from photoshop 7 or something, where I was using 'warp text' - just a simple 6 degree arc. Now, in CS4, I attempt to change the text written, or make any changes at all to the type, and the font becomes distorted. It doesn't matter what font, and it does it from scratch as well as editing existing warped text. Did my warp feature become corrupted somehow?
View 11 Replies View RelatedSo I have text that I would like warp in an Arc. I will be cutting this on a plotter. WHen I use the envelope distort the envelope blocks my text in outline mode. If I go to Effect>Arc the warp only occurs in preview but the outlines do not change as the plotter would see it.
I'm sure there is some way to warp text into an arc and have the outlines remain visible and warped for the plottter to cut, no?

I have tried to work with the mesh envelope tool, but the letters get all distorted and don't run evenly around the corner. I can't seem to get a nice consistent look like this.

I have created city/landscape artwork using photoshop line and box tools. If you go to URL... then click on the link that says (click here to view Gotham City) you will see one of the images I am talking about. Can this image be made to look the same in vector.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI can't believe this is still an issue in CS6. When you have multiple text layers stacked near or in between each other, its impossible to lock the layer so that it can no longer be selected. Even if the layer is locked, the TYPE tool is still able to select it. This makes its a super pain in the tail to edit text near each other. Is there a way to make the text layers lock and NOT be selectable?
Instead of locking a layer and not being able to select it with the type tool, a pop-up telling us that its locked come up?
I think that is it name were you can put the image in to the text, bevel and embos so the text looks like a water mark made up from the image. can this be done in elements 11

I am wondering if there is a way to create a text style, library or whatever with the created "text". View 2 Replies View RelatedBasically we have a number of different procedures that need to be written in each drawing. Each drawing uses one of 5 or so procedures. Usually we type it out every time which is a pain or copy paste. We also tried making word documents and inserting them that way but it got a little buggy. Is there any way to have 5 or so pre made text blocks to pick which to insert onto different types of drawings but that can be global used across a few systems?
We have a small group of workers all on the vault server. Basically I just want to be able to have a finished drawing. Click something that will open a list of my pre made text blocks, and insert one into the drawing that I can scale etc. We use Inventor 2011.
I have phototshop cs installed. It seems the warp command is missing in both installations of the program. I wanted to use it in order to make a little page curl on the corner of an image. Several different tutorials call for this function and I don't have it.

It's a great tool, but it only shows up as a rectangle with 4 columns and rows. It would be nice to create an original Warp for odd shapes etc.
when I look in the CS1 help, it tells how to use it and even shows what the icon for it looks like but I cant find anything in the help about where the button for the Warp tool is.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSome photo editor has a feature called mesh warp: it overlays a grid over a selected area and the user can drag the points in the grid to distort (warp) the underlying graphics.
The closest thing I found in photoshop is liquify, but it doesn't work quite the same. It's harder to make subtle changes with the liquify tools than with mesh warp.
For example, if I have a photo of a woman with barrel waist and I want to edit her into hour-glass waist, having mesh warp would be handy.
