Oct 6, 2008I want to have those colored lines perfectly aligned and spaced with the same width between them all.

View 4 Repliesi'm trying to align text perfectly into a rectangle (vertically). I know about the text box, but it either ads hyphens or there is a mialigned spacing on the right side.
I want it to be perfectly aligned on the left and right. I've attached an example from a site i found online, but its somewhat a poor execution, the word spacing varies through out the paragraph.
Is it possible to do this without varrying the spacing between words?
If I drag-and-drop one layer on top of another, how can I make sure they are perfectly aligned? Do I need to use the "shift" key while dragging and dropping?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've taken a photo of a display frame, and I need to align it perfectly horizontal in order to not crop off parts of the frame when editing out the background. I know how to move images back and forth with the crop tool, but it's not very precise, and I definitely don't want the frame in the image partly chopped off because I can't get it angled just right.
View 13 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to draw a perfectly vertical or horizontal line in Xara (Designer Pro 6) without manually lining it up with the grid? Sometimes I just need an instant horizontal or vertical line and I find I have to turn on the grid, zoom right in and meticulously place the pen tool so that the line is a perfect vertical (90 degrees) or horizontal (180 degrees) without slant or lean. Surely theres a quicker and more reliable method?

The problem I'm having is that I want each section of the shoe to be its own shape so that I can edit the colours individually. However when drawing each section in some places I have to draw over the outlines of already created shapes and trying to match/overlap the paths as close as possible is a nightmare. I want to have a stroke enabled on all shapes to better define them but I get areas where the overlaping sections look uneven giving the shapes very unsmooth curves where overlapping occurs.
So I am just wondering if there is a way to enable the pen tool to snap to certain sections of existing paths so I have a perfect overlap when required?
I get this problem with Illustrator too...when I right align some text, each line of text is pushed all the way to the right, except for the bottom line of the text block. There remains one space - so the bottom line doesn't push all the way to the right.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm creating some geometric images in Illustrator for an animation in After Effects. I have four triangles that are all aligned to make a square. However, there are small white spaces between each of the triangles, so when viewed at actual size, there's a white X through the centre of the square.
How can I align the triangles exactly so there is no white space in between?
Civil 3d 2012 SP2 - When using "Align Space" from the layout Panel of the Express Tools ribbon, I am not able to align the viewport correctly. It seems to be working backwards. I am trying to orient a viewport to something other than a cardinal direction, but for the sake of clarity, I will use an example using cardinal directions. If I am trying to orient the viewport so that North is at the right side of the page, when prompted for the model space alignment I select a line that goes from south to north in model space. When prompted for the paper space alignment, I select a line that goes from left to right. I would expect that north would end up on the right side, but it is on the left side. When experimenting a little, it seems like it is using the model space alignment as the paper space alignment and the paper space alignment for the model space alignment.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have been using CS6 for about a month now, and all of sudden I started having an issue with alignment (and sometimes with distribute evenly command). Basically, anytime I try to use align center or edge (horizontally or vertically) with any object(s) and guideline, objects as well as guideline that I selected disappear from the artboard (white space) -- so I zoom out to get the entire workspace (gray area) view, I find objects ending up somewhere way beyond the white space and the guideline at the very top of the workspace if I used align center horizontally, or the guideline being at the very left of the workspace if I used align center vertically. I made sure that align to: selection is selected, but it appears that it yields same results whether I choose align to artboad, or align to key objects. I use CS6 on my computer at home, but I haven't had any issue with this yet.

In model space I set the units form my dwg (cm), draw a line (100units). Next i go to paper space, create a viewport. When the viewport scale is set to 1:1 the ploted line is 100mm in length (not 100cm). Why is this so? How should I correct this? Changing of units in model space does not effect the length of the line in paper space.
I'm trying to make a code editor UI for a personal project I'm going to start. But I can't figure out why Photoshop is aligning my line numbers "off".
I'm using the font Source Code Pro
I'm center aligning the numbers.
I'm using Photoshop CS6 on OSX.
I have a path that's coming out from an arbitrary angle, and I want a star at the end of the line, but perfectly centered so that the line bisects one of its inner arrows, if that makes sense.
I've made a separate star and a separate path, but I can't seem to hand-align it correctly.
I am trying to make a label for a line at a N 87d E angle, I want the text to be the same angle as the line. How do I do that?
View 5 Replies View RelatedAny good script that allows you to align multiple objects to a line? I've found the ALIGNIT.lsp, but it's not working in Autocad 2012.
It's like this:
I have a horizontal line. Above it, there are +200 objects. They are aligned in the right rotation already, but I just want to move all the objects lower line to my horizontal line.
How can I align objects which are in a curve to a straight line? I thought I already knew the answer to this but when I tried I could not get it done.
I have about 1000 objects that I need aligning in this way (see attached image).

I would like to make a block with 2 points and I would like them to follow a line with those 2 points..
Same as you can use the measure command to put blocks on a line with a pitch distance I would like to do the same but the block schould snap with 2 points on the line.
I created a square in which I have to draw vertical lines in it. I want the first line to start at 2.5 cm from the left segment of the square.
In a different way to say it just to be clear enough, I want to align the segment (inside the square) from the left vertical line of the square, put 2.5 cm to the right, and then there's my line.
When I try to align it using the align tool, I use the square as a key object. But it select ALL the square, so it puts my line 2.5 cm but to the far right of the square, outside my artwork. I'd want to select only the left line of the square.
When I select Align to Pixel Grid in the Transform Panel, I see line weight changes occur. I try to change the line weight in the either the Stroke or Appearance panel and it will not change, no layers locked, how to change the line weight?

word * wordyword * wordhere * wordwordword
the * are little blue dots centered horiz and vert.Everybody is on their own layer.I am trying to get everyone equidistant, the words aligned bottom and the dots aligne center vertical.
I select the align tool, then click on word. Next holding shift I drag everything else and it is all selected. K. I have trimmed all the layers so all that is there are the things I want to align.
I have tried clicking everything in the options box and the closest I get is with distribute horizontal centers with offset but that leaves me with odd spacing.. if I simply select the text it is better, but the spacing is still not right..
I drew a Gmask with 4 points and broke the handles. My questions is:
1. How do I know when 2 or more points are exactly on the same vertical or horizontal line?
2. How do i get them to align?
3. How do I move 2 or more points together? (Control select and drag)?
there a way to create text to align with the face of an isometric line?

Right: manually moved text with smart guide to align with its base line.(what I want to achieve)
As you can see in the left one, text has its base line under itself, and its bounding box doesn't match its base line. when I use align, it doesn't align using its base line but its bounding box.How can I make text align using their base line easily?
adding a page baseline grid! I love it, but I have one problem with it. For example I set the baseline grid to 13 pt, i have text with line spacing specified to 13 pt. I right-click the paragraph text box and select "Align to baseline grid". Then the text surely is aligned to the grid, BUT the lines are spaced to every other line, instead of every line.

On paint it shows exactly how the line looks as ur drawing it,
but on Photoshop it shows some rectangle outline of the line.
The line tool icon has disappeared from the tool bar and I don't know how to re-activate it.
View 2 Replies View Related1. if i draw a line using the line tool.. can i curve it to say 40 degrees like i can with the text function?
2. So ya that one was easy.. hows bout when i want to cut something out ACCURATELY, the pen function, right? (according to a friend)when i make all those little boxes and select the area i want to cut, all that gets copied are the outer lines, which i presume is what ive just drawn.. how do i cut the area inside this?
3. and finally maybe a slightly less easy one- In Paint, when you cut out an object and paste it, you can select for the white of the image to become transparent so you can paste over what you have already.. is thee a feature in PS for this?
I'm trying to use the line tool to draw a colored line, I draw the line via Line tool, it appears in grey, I right click>stroke path and select Pencil > OK, the line is still grey and not the foreground color. If I do the same with a Rectangle Tool, it works fine and darws me a nice colored rectangle. What am I doing wrong? This is driving me nuts...!!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using the Multileader Align tool for my labels and it works great as long as my labels are left justified. I noticed this issue has been brought up before but didn't know a way to make it work for right justified text.
My problem is this: right justified text will not justify properly. It will not justify the same way that left justified text does. If you can follow this, leaders that have text that are left-justified will align according to their leader lines and everything looks neat and correct. The leaders that are right justified do not align properly because they align to the left side of the text. See the following screen shots and you'll understand...
Incorrectly justified leaders.
