Right: manually moved text with smart guide to align with its base line.(what I want to achieve)
As you can see in the left one, text has its base line under itself, and its bounding box doesn't match its base line. when I use align, it doesn't align using its base line but its bounding box.How can I make text align using their base line easily?
I have been able to draw the precast concrete tanks I needed. I drew several models and saved them as WBLOCKS to insert in new drawings. The problem is that I don't seem to be able to select a particular face of the tank upon which I want to align the UCS. What am I missing with regard to blocks and UCS alignment?
View 2 Replies View Relatedadding a page baseline grid! I love it, but I have one problem with it. For example I set the baseline grid to 13 pt, i have text with line spacing specified to 13 pt. I right-click the paragraph text box and select "Align to baseline grid". Then the text surely is aligned to the grid, BUT the lines are spaced to every other line, instead of every line.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAs I recall, back in the 3ds dos days you could create a grid aligned to a face of an object by simply picking 3 vertices on the face. I've never figured out how to do this in MAX. I don't need to align objects but need to move vertices around on a given tilted face.

View 0 Replies View RelatedI will include an attachment, but essentially we are wanting to re-create images like this (with the isometric lines) for our customers. Currently we are using AGi32 for this process, but is not very friendly with importing autocad files.
Should I be looking elsewhere in the Autodesk Suites instead of 3ds Max Design? These attachments are all from AGi32, and we are looking to move away from them.
I seem to be having trouble posting a text in NE isometric. I tried to convert to layout but no images appeared.

I am a beginner at LISP and this is a bit out of my league... and I'm trying to create a lisp where I can draw a polyline between 2 points that also places text with the actual distance offset above the line.
I did find this post and I'm not quite catching on.. [URL] ......
I'm wondering is it possible to orientate the dimension text alligned to paper(2.jpg) but not the UCS of Isometric drawing(1.jpg).
Sometime I need to allocate my drawing with dimensioning in isometric view because its more easy to read.
I'm placing my drawing in *.idw.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAny good script that allows you to align multiple objects to a line? I've found the ALIGNIT.lsp, but it's not working in Autocad 2012.
It's like this:
I have a horizontal line. Above it, there are +200 objects. They are aligned in the right rotation already, but I just want to move all the objects lower line to my horizontal line.
How can I align objects which are in a curve to a straight line? I thought I already knew the answer to this but when I tried I could not get it done.
I have about 1000 objects that I need aligning in this way (see attached image).

I would like to make a block with 2 points and I would like them to follow a line with those 2 points..
Same as you can use the measure command to put blocks on a line with a pitch distance I would like to do the same but the block schould snap with 2 points on the line.
I'd like to create sheet notes with different line spacing and paragraph spacing in ACA 2013. When I change before/after Paragraph spacing settings in the Text Formatting window, I get a message reading "please provide a value within range of 1/4" and 4". I'd like to use 1/8" for the paragrpah spacing, which is the same size as the text.

See attached PDF for example.
I had actions set up on an old computer to create diametric and isometric illustrations. The old scale, shear, rotate trick.I should have backed up. But I didn't, and through moving things from computer to computer to computer, I no longer have the actions. And now I need them.
I found what I need for Isometric in this thread here -URL...- specifically, Jet's image right down the bottom. Which is just what I need and have set up a new isometric action. is the numbers I need to draw a dimetric illustration.
what is the setting to tell a line to extend to the face of a pline when that line doesn't actually intersect with the pline? see image below...line 1 will extend to pline faces A and B, but how do i get line 2 to extend to those faces? i know this worked when i used autocad 2008 but i'm now using 2012 LT so hopefully it still works, i just don't remember the command name to control it.
