I'd like to make the attached line about twice as thick. I have searched for hours how to accomplish this to no avail.
I have hand written initials. It looks to be something that was signed on copy paper and then the background was removed to get an alpha channel. These initials are a bit too thin to make an impact within the logo i am designing.
How do i thicken the lines without a stroke which would hurt the detail.?
I've tried selecting letter by letter, and then selecting the whole block with the square marquee and then using grow...but nothings working.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm pretty new and have a simple problem that for some reason I can't figure it out! And that is how to make a series of lines on the image that are all perfectly horizontal or perfectly verticle. This will be part of a chart and the lines will be dividers. So the chart will have basically 21 rectangles with 3 rectangles across and 7 rectangles down.
So, I KNOW how to use the straight line tool to make the vertical and horizontal lines but I don't know how to keep the lines perfectly vertical and horizontal and parallel with each other!

I am pretty new to Photoshop and I have come across a few things that I would love to do but I cant figure out how to do them. Also, I have elements so I'm not even sure if I can do them. On paint it shows exactly how the line looks as ur drawing it,
but on Photoshop it shows some rectangle outline of the line.

View 9 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to make 2 to sketch lines instead of floating lines so that I can dimension them?
For example, if I have a part that can change lengths and I need to print off a new drawing, it would be good if I could say that the lines were a set distance from each end of the part or some features of the part.
Then I could update the part length, then just open the part drawing and not have to adjust anything.
This isnt so much of a problem as an annoyance. When I try to make poly lines from connected single lines my procedure is as follows...
pedit, right click, multiple, select lines/objects, enter, yes, join x 3, esc
My annoyance is if i hit join once it will not make the lines into polylines, if i hit join 3 times or so and then esc it will.
It just doesnt seem that is right and I think i might be missing something. I have been doing pedit this way for a long time adn its probably finally time to figure this one out.

I have a layer is a PSD which someone else has created, unfortunately said person has not come back with a how to on this, where there are a few 'white' objects which fade from solid white in the centre to transparent at the edge. Also if the object has thin lines these also fade.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I copy objects from a drawing to another drawing in .DWG, it appears that the lineweights becomes different between the two drawings.
For example, let's say there is a layer whose Lineweight is 0.3mm, Color is green and Linetype is continuous on the source drawing file. You notice the objects under that layer should be thicker. After copying to another drawing or destination drawing file, I noticed the layer got transferred across which is good and everything else associated with that layer. But then, I noticed on the other drawing, the objects on that layer are not as thick as that of the source drawing file. When i checked the layer on the layer properties manager, it shows the lineweight is 0.3mm. I wonder why the lineweight of the objects are different as if they are 0.00mm and what should I do to keep it consistent on the other drawing after the copy.
The problem is that when I choose or designate an outline thickness, the horizontal is much thicker than the vertical. I need consistency. Especially noticeable if I modify a font, enlarge it, stretch or skew. I do set the outline to scale with image and also don't outline until I am finished with the modifications.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to figure out how to create an image of a solid line into one with a dotted line. this isn't a matter of spacing, but rather filters of some sort (i'd imagine). See this example for the best explanation:
I had the first image (from a brush) and created the second by hand. I literally took a layer and traced the original with dots, making them larger or smaller as I went along. There must be a better way! So I'm looking for the way to convert a line of varying widths to a single dotted line of various-sized dots. make sense?
I'm looking for a something similar to the new orbit packaging.
