View 6 Repliescan I alter the BACKGROUND COLOUR from the Grey to a lighter grey as in P/Shop Album 2.00 which is just what I want..I hate the darker colour as background..I have just purchased the Elements 11.Â
View 5 Replies View Relatedas a user of pse 6 I 'm used to work with darkgrey background in the organizer.
This works perfectly for quickly assessing brightness and contrast of pictures.
In pse 10 however I could not find any button to change the preset lightgrey background colour to darkgrey.
I try to use the color grey its always redish grey and never grey.
I tried changing my color settings from photoshop but it still wont work.
I am currently running Map 3D 2012 with CadWorx and I am having an issue with one of my multi tab drawings. Any object set to plot grey (any grey), that is in paper space, is plotting black only in one of my layouts. similar objects in model space and in both spaces on other layouts are all plotting accordingly.
View 0 Replies View RelatedI am now trying to use photoshop CS6 3D features. And I found out that no matter what I select, the 3D menu is still grey out.
What should I do to solve this?
I see some of you said that your 3D menu is missing because of the graphic card issue. For my case, what should I do?
My setup:
Â
 AMD Phenom 9550
4GB DDR2 RAM
AMD Radeon HD4850 512MB
 Â
I sometimes have the problem(mostly when I work with a lot of files[10 to 15] or if I work with big files) that my viewport goes grey(so I can't see anything anymore). This happens when I use the type tool or when I use the transform tool. When I go out of the editing mode, everything is visible again.
Â
My settings:[URL].....
The drivers of my graphics card are up-to-date(Catalyst 12.1). The version of Photoshop that I work with is Photoshop CS5.1 Extended.
Â
I didn't have this issue a couple of years ago(when I still worked with CS3, CS4, CS5).
Â
I've googled this issue and only found people having problems with older drivers(Catalyst 11.3).
I'm Getting a grey box around my image when I print. I tried resetting my pref. but still get it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just recently got photoshop 7 and have a problem with it, I currently have PS6 installed and it runs fine. When I installed PS7 today as it was starting up after the installation it came up with a problem with my monitor I ignored it because I didnt and still dont think it is/was the problem.
The problem I have is well...pink. Everything is pink, many shades of pink, I can even get some dark purples but thats it I have no access to normal colors, even when I change the RGB settings.
I want to print my black and white image grey in order to preserve ink what should I do? I'm making stencils so using alot of black isn't necessary.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI now scan an image or bring even an old one up into photoshop I am getting a little grey box in the upperleft hand corner and in it is a number 1 and some other symbol which I cannot make out. This does not happen when I bring the same images up in Paintshop or painter. I recently had to uninstall Zone Alarm and am wondering if this could have something to do with it or maybe it isn't even a PS problem but something on my computer.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently installed PS7 on my laptop and when creating a new project, the defaul is sent on grey for the color, when I set it to RGB or CMYK and want to choose a color, I get the standard color box with about 20 colors instead of the color pallet I used to get.
What is the setting I'm looking for and how to I set it as the default?
I'm trying to use either the displacement or 3D rendering function in Photoshop CS to make a realistic looking tattoo on a face, but I can't get "distort" or "render" to come out of grey no matter what I do.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've found a peculiar problem with grey scale conversion in Photoshop CS5.
Â
The problem:
Â
I have black and white photos in an RGB colour space. I can't use a black and white layer adjustment because there are no color channels in the image. I used the 'image > mode> greyscale' menu item to convert to greyscale, and in photoshop there appears to be no change to the greyscale values. However, when I place the image in inDesign, it is markedly different; blacks are pure black but greys are washed out.
I print the two images side by side (RGB and greyscale) and they come out identical (though darker than I expected). Is inDesign showing RGB or Greyscale differently on screen? I have the display settings at 'high quality'.
cant remember what i did but now my colors wont come out any different than grey
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to add a color cast to a grey, contoured button shape (defined by a vector mask), by overlaying it with an adjustment layer with a solid green fill and setting the blend mode to "multiply."
Â
The shape layer has transparent pixels around the perimeter, so I would not expect a "multiply" operation to result in visible green there. But it does. That's no good. I need to export this image to a PNG with the transparency intact.
Â
I can see that the green adjustment layer has a "Color Fill 1 Mask" channel, but copying the shape layer and pasting it into that mask channel doesn't seem to work. The display shows a very thin outline of the vector shape, but I can't appear to do anything with it.
how accurate this looks, shall i go for removing the remaining text or should i generate a new background. i want an exact grey background without the text, i dont know how to work in photoshop at all[URL]...

View 20 Replies View RelatedI have PS 12.05 64bit version on a Mac with 8 gigs of Ram and a QuadCore I7. I have tried using 3 NEF images, tried DNG images and JPG images, I end up with the same result, a murkey grey image. Hopefully the screen shot will come through showing my results. I have reset Pref file in PS, still the same.
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhile editing some, but not all files in PSE2, I find the layers menu and palette grey and unusable. This mostly occurs when I import a file from the web. I have tried saving the file in tiff or pdf format, but still cannot get the layers to work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThere are a couple of tiny grey squares on the upper left corner of my files. One has a "01" and the other one a symbol which I don´t know what it is.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just installed CS4 and I now find that I canonly see a single image at a time, as there always seems otbe a big gey background surrounding the current image. A right click allows me to chnage the useless background color, but not get rid of it. I can't drag from the corner to reduce the size. How do I make it so I can work with and see more than one image at a time?
View 9 Replies View RelatedHow can I make the space between lines like the pic I attached, space them so its 5 or 6 pixels apart? It looks really bad doing it freehand,is there a way to just set the space so it looks even? And how can I add colours to the empty space? Must I use white background instead of transparent?
Final question, how can I do those grey boxes like those on URL banner. And those lines that fade out plus how can I sort of make the lines "pop-up" or have that 3d effect, sort of like emboss I guess.
I am trying to reduce the Opacity of some white text so that it looks faded. However I want the background that this appears on to be black. The problem is that it changes to grey the lower the Opacity.
I understand that this is because of the black background but can not think how to get around the problem.
instead of showing the thumbnail of an image in my layers panel, I got a grey box for any layer that is in there. Normally I would see a mini-version of the graphic that I am editing.
Is this something that I did or touched that made this happen, if so, how do I reverse this?
Open a new doc in Greyscale mode, and use your Color palette in RGB Spectrum to select your hue of grey/colour. And to get a finer shade of grey/colour within the hue of grey/colour you're working with, click on the little arrow (top right of Color palette) and open up the drop down menu and select Current Color. This will give you a finer palette of grey/colour saturation to work with.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently came across with Photoshop. Basically when I try to use grey as a colour, it seems to have a pink hue to it and looks terrible. The grey isn't pure and looks all sorts of wrong.
I've checked the colour settings and everything is default, my monitor seems fine as the usual grey appears perfectly on any websites. It's just on Photoshop, things simply don't look right. So I'm a bit stuck on what to do next, as anyone else had this problem before and is there a possible fix?
To better describe, I have provided a picture of the problem, as you can see the grey looks wrong and as a pink hue.
How do you do this?

it happens with a different color.
In my PS7.0 I have lost my greys...It always shows brown even when I enter #333333 or anything grey. If I transfer the color to Image ready it shows the color in grey like it should be seen.
