View 20 Repliescan I alter the BACKGROUND COLOUR from the Grey to a lighter grey as in P/Shop Album 2.00 which is just what I want..I hate the darker colour as background..I have just purchased the Elements 11.
View 5 Replies View Relatedas a user of pse 6 I 'm used to work with darkgrey background in the organizer.
This works perfectly for quickly assessing brightness and contrast of pictures.
In pse 10 however I could not find any button to change the preset lightgrey background colour to darkgrey.
I try to use the color grey its always redish grey and never grey.
I tried changing my color settings from photoshop but it still wont work.
PS crashed yesterday and now I have blue boxes all over the shop!

Any object set to plot grey (any grey), that is in paper space, is plotting black only in one of my layouts. similar objects in model space and in both spaces on other layouts are all plotting accordingly.
View 0 Replies View RelatedJust come back from a lengthy trip with about 900 photos from 3 different cameras. Did most of the jpeg's in LR 5, but waited with the Canon raw files for PS CC. All appeared to go well, with first adjusting them in PS CC camera raw, then opening some on PS CC. Saved most in PSD format. However, some of the less important ones, such as information photos, were saved as jpegs, from within PS CC.
This is where the trouble started. Once finished, I went through them all in Bridge, using full screen preview. The ones saved as jpeg, appeared tiny, instead of full screen. Trying to open them, resulted in an error message, with something about a marker not being there. Before panicking, changed the extension from jpeg to psd - and the filed opened in PS CC without any problems. Saved the files as jpeg, using a different name and this time they were all ok.
So it would appear that there is a problem saving a file with layers as a jpeg, without first saving it as psd
I am new to Photoshop (Elements Vers 10).
Today I have been working on a photo (cloning out the background) and after about 4hrs work a thin green line about 1-2 pixel thick, has appeared across the center of the page. How it got there but I can not remove it.
I have tried saving the project (as a photoshop file) and then opening it as a new project in an old version of Photoshop (Vers 3 ?) to see if I could clone out the line, but it will not permit me to clone it.
What the line is, what I did to cause it to appear and how do I get rid of it. I possibly could export the project as a JPG and start as a new project.
Returning to Video Studio 10 after a period of disuse. All went fairly well until I managed to do something which resulted in a red line appearing in the timeline as per the pic below...
As a result, I can't view any part of the (as yet rather short) compiled video as hitting 'play' takes me straight to that red lined section (which is blank)...

there is no value, why?
I'm working on a Premiere Pro CC project with another editor. On his latest version, some of the clips on the timeline have a "+/-" or "+2" or "-2" on them. He's not sure how that happened, and I've not seen it before. What do those mean, and how do I get rid of them? I've tried Googling, but search engines don't respond well to "+/-".
View 1 Replies View RelatedToday I noticed 6 or 7 linetypes that have appeared in every drawing I open and cannot be deleted.
They include "Amzigzag" " Amconstr" "ACISOTGB" and others.
If I delete everytjing in my drawing and purge the linetypes are still there. They even appear if I load old drawings that din't have these linetypes initially.

I was just pdf-ing a whole load of layouts, when I noticed that the white box, shown in the screen shot, had appeared.
I have tried deleting it, but I cannot select it to get rid of it.All I can think of doing is deleting each layout and doing them all again.
I have checked the pdfs I generated, and it does not appear on any of them.
Why would Lightroom give a sepia tone to anything I am working on? This only happens if I am using my AOC 27" monitor. The menus are still white, only the work gets the sepia added. Now the strainge part, if I switch to a different monitor, the problem goes away. I also use Photoshop and have no problem.

I have been working on redesigning a brochure based on a previous year. I updated all the images and text and sent it off to the printer the way it should look. When we got the brochure back, it had picked up an image that I never saw while working with the file. The printing company says the image was embedded in the file and appeared all along to them, but I cannot find any trace of it in my file. I have searched through every layer item by item to try and find it but it remains a mystery. I want to make sure that it does not appear in future prints of the file.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI was using lightroom3 today when all of the suddenly some of my pictures (far away from all) got like a coloured box on top of them.. I have attached a photo since it's a little hard to explain. notice that a very small part of all of the pictures is still as normal and the colour box seems to somewhat match the colours of the specific photos.. This is not a recently uploaded catalog and it has always worked fine. The weird thing is that even the original photos in My Documents look the same when previewed in the folder.. However- The exact photos look perfectly normal when opened with Microsoft's Picture Manager.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am now trying to use photoshop CS6 3D features. And I found out that no matter what I select, the 3D menu is still grey out.
What should I do to solve this?
I see some of you said that your 3D menu is missing because of the graphic card issue. For my case, what should I do?
My setup:
AMD Phenom 9550
4GB DDR2 RAM
AMD Radeon HD4850 512MB
I sometimes have the problem(mostly when I work with a lot of files[10 to 15] or if I work with big files) that my viewport goes grey(so I can't see anything anymore). This happens when I use the type tool or when I use the transform tool. When I go out of the editing mode, everything is visible again.
My settings:[URL].....
The drivers of my graphics card are up-to-date(Catalyst 12.1). The version of Photoshop that I work with is Photoshop CS5.1 Extended.
I didn't have this issue a couple of years ago(when I still worked with CS3, CS4, CS5).
I've googled this issue and only found people having problems with older drivers(Catalyst 11.3).
I'm Getting a grey box around my image when I print. I tried resetting my pref. but still get it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just recently got photoshop 7 and have a problem with it, I currently have PS6 installed and it runs fine. When I installed PS7 today as it was starting up after the installation it came up with a problem with my monitor I ignored it because I didnt and still dont think it is/was the problem.
The problem I have is well...pink. Everything is pink, many shades of pink, I can even get some dark purples but thats it I have no access to normal colors, even when I change the RGB settings.
I want to print my black and white image grey in order to preserve ink what should I do? I'm making stencils so using alot of black isn't necessary.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI now scan an image or bring even an old one up into photoshop I am getting a little grey box in the upperleft hand corner and in it is a number 1 and some other symbol which I cannot make out. This does not happen when I bring the same images up in Paintshop or painter. I recently had to uninstall Zone Alarm and am wondering if this could have something to do with it or maybe it isn't even a PS problem but something on my computer.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently installed PS7 on my laptop and when creating a new project, the defaul is sent on grey for the color, when I set it to RGB or CMYK and want to choose a color, I get the standard color box with about 20 colors instead of the color pallet I used to get.
What is the setting I'm looking for and how to I set it as the default?
I'm trying to use either the displacement or 3D rendering function in Photoshop CS to make a realistic looking tattoo on a face, but I can't get "distort" or "render" to come out of grey no matter what I do.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've found a peculiar problem with grey scale conversion in Photoshop CS5.
The problem:
I have black and white photos in an RGB colour space. I can't use a black and white layer adjustment because there are no color channels in the image. I used the 'image > mode> greyscale' menu item to convert to greyscale, and in photoshop there appears to be no change to the greyscale values. However, when I place the image in inDesign, it is markedly different; blacks are pure black but greys are washed out.
I print the two images side by side (RGB and greyscale) and they come out identical (though darker than I expected). Is inDesign showing RGB or Greyscale differently on screen? I have the display settings at 'high quality'.
