I am trying to install a script (.mxp) (Windows). When I double click the .mxp file the Adobe Extensions Manager CS4 opens but I get a permissions error. "You do not have appropriate permissions.." I am the administrator and I have made sure the file has full permissions. I have tried to move the file to different locations also.

I am trying to install the Pixel Bender filter for CS5 but I can't open the Extension Manager. I have tried to open it as the Administrator. I also reinstalled the Extension Manager from the Adobe Exchange site. I keep getting the following message:

I tried installing an extension ("Dr Browns Services") from inside Photoshop CC. The install hangs. I cancelled and entered Adobe Extension Manager CC and it simply hangs on launch. I can get out of it with a forced quit. Meanwhile Photoshop itself is quite stable.How can I un freeze Adobe Xtension Manager CC?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis afternoon, from Photoshop CS6, I purchased and extension through Adobe extension drop down menu called EDGE FX. It will not install. As I attempt to do so, it does not list the Photoshop product (only Illustrator, Flash, Premiere, etc).
Here are some screen shots of the dialog boxes I copied. How do I manage to get this downloaded into Photoshop? Note in the last of the three screenshots, Photoshop doesn't appear as an option. I went into manager and a drop down menu doesn't give that option either. However, the description of the extension describes it as a tool to add interesting boarders to photos. Therefore, it must be a Photoshop extension.
I have a full and functioning version of Photoshop 6 extended on my MacBook Pro with mountain lion 10.8.3. I installed a new hybrid hard drive a few days ago. I had backed up my computer to an external hard drive via Super Duper. I recopied to the new hard drive and everything seemed to be working properly. My problem is I have a new configurator panel from a third party that I am trying to install and the extension manager that comes with the downloaded file won't install it on a copy of Photoshop 6 that's on my operating hard drive. I can make changes to Photoshop 6 on the backup drive. Somehow it seems that signals a been crossed. There are some folders in the application support folder that I transferred from the backup drive to the laptop drive but that didn't work either. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop 6?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install a plug-in from PSKiss to Photoshop CS5 (version 12.0.4). I'm using Adobe Extension Manager CS5.5, and I'm running Windows 7 on my laptop.
Although I'm following up with PSKiss to see if there's a problem at this end, I also see an issue with Adobe Extension Manager. When I open it, the Install button is grayed-out. I can see neither of the plug-ins I've already installed in Photoshop, nor can I install anything new. I am running Adobe Extension Manager as Administrator.
Also, yes, I'm using my laptop with an Administrator account.

I've just installed Extension Manager Update 6.0.5.9 yesterday and today I've get a wired problem with my bambo tablet.I've used this tablet for 3-4 years without problem. The problem I've now is when I drag lasso tool on an image to make selection it doesn't make a selection even it is showed in the history state that I've used lasso,or magnetic lasso.
My machine is a Mac Pro 2010,Quad-Core Intel Xeon running on Lion 10.7.5 and my bamboo driver is the latest version 5.3.2-2. Even now I've change to use freeform path I've still cannot change form path to selection.
Have had the problem 0xc000007b caused by ilivid with LR4, easily fixed something I have to do each time there is a software update. My most recent software update of Photoshop is causing a new error message. CS6ServiceManager.exe - Application Error unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Can't run Photoshop!!

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy problem is with Vista Ultimate and the printing picture package. When I go to save new picture package templates, Vista gives me a message that I do not have permission to save to that file. If I right click on the Photoshop Icon when I open it and open it as an administrator (which I am listed as an administrator in the users section anyway) it will then allow me to save my picture package templates, but then I lose the ability to drag files into the template or into Photoshop. I am restricted to opening everything from the menu, which is a real time eater. Otherwise everything seems to be smooth with Vista.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using OSX 10.8.3, Adobe Bridge CS5 and Photoshop CS5.I ran repair permissions from disk utility, and now the results are inconsistent in that if I use bridge to drag & drop a file from the desktop to a folder on the desktop it work ok. but is I dark and image file from the HD to a folder on the hard disk I get an error message that I dont have permissions to do that. (image 1)
and if I dark an image file that is on the desk top to the hard disk, but not to a folder on the hard disk, I get a circle with a strike through (not allowed) (image 2. dam the screen capture as that cursor and that circle with astrike through did not capture, but I am trying to drag the image to the hard disk not a folder)
problems is, Photoshop is running so smooth now, I dont want to have to re install it all, as I have to spend time getting the filters right (as there is some incompatibilities between and extensis extensions and NIK filters and Onone filters.
All of a sudden this morning clicking Layer Properties Manager gives my acadlt07 a fatal error. (unhandled e06d7363h Exception at 75509673h).
I thought it might be the file I was working on but it is happening with any file open.
Every time I start AutoCAD MEP 2013 I get a Resource Manager Error and then AutoCAD usually crashes. Specifically I get the message
Cannot find the resource string number 21517 in resource AecXBase70.
It lists about a dozen different string numbers.
I'm getting lots of error messages when I bring up drawings in my 2009LT. Resource Manager Error. Cannot load resource only DLL. File not found, then many similar messages with AecResMgrenu.dLL.
Over and over, keep hitting OK till drawing loads. Not one specific file either.
Also: Unable to locate resource string. Resource Manager is not correctly installed.
Is there a way to fix without reloading 2009LT and having to reset all settings. Can that file AecResMgrenu be replaced. I have backup Program Files on CD.
I'm learning how to create extension (flex - extension builder) for Illustrator and how to make it communicate with a plugin.
The samples provided in the SDK detailed how to load /unload extension from a menu item from Illustrator, and how to add / remove EventListeners to make the magic happen.
to sum up, this is something like that:
1- click on the menu item
2- load extension
3- add listeners
4- do your stuff......
5- remove listeners
6- unload extension
Basically my plugin is a module/service which is in charge of dealing with / modifying artwork tree. It has no User Interface.
My extension will have a user of this service.
What I would like to do is to load my extension as soon as my plugin is loaded, and unload the extension when the plugin will be unloaded.
Or notify when extension is loaded or unloaded.
Is that possible and hw could I achieve that?
When opening the layers dialogue box in AutoCAD 2013 the display does not appear to load correctly, I have had this problem before when executing this command and loaded up the old layer manager, I can't remember what the command is for load this.

ERROR: Layout not found..By using one tab per drawing, seems to publish ok. But we want multiple tabs per drawing, so not really any use to us.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm unable to point CS6 to the alternate scratch drive despite changes in permissions. I noticed my boot drive (C:) is actually Disk 1, not Disk 0, and my scratch disk (internal) is Disk 0. I can select an external drive (I:) with no issues, but that is a 2TB drive I use for data. So, I'm curious whether the mix-up with the boot disk order has anything to do with CS6 not being able to access the disk I want to designate as the scratch disk?
View 3 Replies View Related Had a problem with my RAID1 HD's and windows 7 went to check and repair my HD. There were some things with indexes, related to lightroom fixed. Kind of logical as I was working in Lightroom when the problem occured.
After restarting Lightroom 4 refuses to open my catalog. It states the catalog is not writable and cannot be opened, could be because of incorrect permissions. Strangely enough, although I run a backup weekly there is no backup folder on my HD, or better said only a backup folder with a file that's a couple of years old. No use. (should have checked this earlier... obviously)
How to get my catalog back up and running again? I can open Lightroom with a new catalog, but then I've lost a lot of work...
the basics: Windows7 home premium, Lightroom 4, catalog on internal HD which is in RAID1 (mirror), lightroom programme on SSD
I have all the permissions (administrator), catalog file is not 'read-only', run as administrator did not make any difference.
I use Firefox, and tried in IE, and can't solve this probably basic action.

I am in the process of deploying CorelDraw X5 to about 20 users in my company. The options I have available are to use Group Policy, SCCM 2007, or a couple of 3rd party programs. The specific users which this deployment will be advertised to will basically be using it as a CDR / EPS viewer only. In fact, we do not want them to be able to edit anything and save or export it.
Given the above, her are my two questions:
1. What are my options for deploying CorelDraw over the network? I saw the trial uses an installer, but have the image of the disc which I may use too. Neither have MSI files, though.
2. Are there any methods for controlling security of certain users / workstations on what the can or cannot do in CorelDraw? An administrative template for Group Policy would be ideal. We really just don't want them to be able to save - however - the file must be viewed, then sent by them so the idea of a Share set as Read Only wouldn't work.

We are trying to secure our drawings using regular NTFS folder/files permissions on a Windows 2003 server. The goal is to let users save changes to dwg files but NOT delete files or move them. We are trying to prevent accidental deletion of files.
We have created a group which is assigned all rights on files except "Delete". Unfortunately, this does not work because upon saving a file, ACAD deletes the original file of a network drive and recreates it with new/updated one. AutoCAD requires the "Delete" trigger.
Is there a method or a work around we could use to aid us on the task? All other programs like Creative suite, Office applications, various graphic programs work wonderfully with the permissions in place but not AutoCAD Architecture 2008. From what i've read this issue dates back to the dates of AutoCAD 14.
Our files are very valuable and there are LOTs of them. We can't be the only firm that values their files and not have dealt with this issue.
