View 2 RepliesI use Photoshop Elements 5.0 on a network. I was deleting some empty folders under my folder "2013" when I realized that I somehow must have deleted the entire '2013' folder. I immediately selected undo and it restored the 'shadows' of the folders and files. I can see the folder names and the image names, but I cannot see the images. I assumed I needed to reconnect the images. I looked in the recycle bin but they are not there. The only items in the recycle bin are from my local drive. Are the pictures somewhere that I could reconnect or are they permanently gone?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI imported some pictures into LIghtroom 5 with the SAME jpg numbers as a prior import. The first import consisted of pictures from Trip 1 folder on my hard drive, the second import was from Trip 2 folder on hard drive. I see the Trip 1 and Trip 2 folders in LIghtroom 5, but am experiencing problems with emailing and exporting pictures, getting messages such as "Missing file" or "Export does not show up. Were there problems with the import?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI imported yesterday’s shoot into LR4 the same way as ever, nothing new, and they seemed to import very quickly. Didn’t think anything of it at the time, but now I’ve got the dreaded question mark against the shots. I try right click, locate missing files and the dialogue box comes up but with no files or folders selected so it seems I can’t go further down this route. LR says the files are in “Volumes” on my hard drive, but that folder simply doesn’t seem to be there when I use finder.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to Photoshop 10 from 3. Now, when I am editing a few days worth of pictures one after the other, I go to open the next file (picture) the computer takes me back to the top (first one listed) each time. Many times I am editing over 100 pictures in the file, and now have to scroll down each time and that takes forever. I have to remember what number picture I was on. In my earlier version, the compiter "held" the spot where I was so it was easy to select trhe next picture to edit.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Lightroom 3 and just this morning noticed that all of the preloaded lens profiles are missing. I've been using the program for 3 years now and they've always been there previously. The only one available is SIGMA. I have a Canon, so all of those are gone. At the bottom of the box in "Develop" it says "Unable to locate a matching profile automatically."
I am running on Windows and tried repairing, but it seems to be missing the installation file that it needs. Is there a way to download and install the profiles for just the lenses I have? Or, do I need to completely re-install? If that's the case, will all of my libraries stay in tact?
When I import pictures-how do I select all the picures in the file to be copied onto elements-when I hit import from files it opens all the pictures but how I select all of them.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was always able to send photos from Photoshop 11 via the photo mail and they would arrive fully opened which was great. Now, when I send a photo it arrives not opened and if one clicks on "open" to open it, a notice says it cannot be opened because it is a zip file or a temp. file.

My photos reside on a external hard drive so it is not the default location. I want to create a file location and tell the program where to put the photos. Right now it is putting them in the right drive in My Catalog but I want to specify a file within My catalog such as My Catalog:2013-12 xmas.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a file "silence.wav" that was apparently in my Elements catalog. It is located in a folder that has been deleted over my years of upgrading Photoshop Elements. My problem is I can't find the file in my organizer/catalog in my Elements 11.0 to delete it from the catalog. Typically, with a picture that has been deleted, I can still see it in my catalog with a little question mark indicating the file connection is lost. I can then either reconnect or delete from catalog. However, since I can't find this silence.wav file in my catalog (searching the catalog doesn't locate it) I can't delete it. As a result it always shows in my list when I reconnect files from time to time. How to get rid of this file so Elements doesn't continue to think it is part of my catalog and missing a link?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI created an album, and then a slide show containing almost 200 slides. I was sure to save and name it; now I can't find it. When I open Photoshop Elements 9 there are no menu items,( i,e, File, View, Edit) across the top, so I see no way to "Open Saved Project". I can see the album listed on the right, and can access the original photos from there, but I can't find the slide show.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been running PSE 10 for a while with my Canon 60D, windows 7 and I have never had an issue with importing CR2 files to my organizer. Now all of the sudden they will no longer show up in the organizer or rather there is the icon with a question mark, and the "mssing file" error. When I use the downloader from my card reader I can see them in the preview screen, but when the downloader is done and the files are in the organizer, get nothing but the aforementioned icons.
I installed to the DNG converter as suggested, but that did nothing as well. So, I finally gave up, purchased PSE 12, installed it and guess what, still no luck. I have updated the RAW converter to the latest version and as near as I can tell I have done everything suggested. Like I said earlier, I can see the pictures clearly in the adobe downloader when I import the files from my memory card and I can open the pics fine in the Canon software, I can even open the picture in the Editor if I go through the editor; but I can't do anything with the picture in the Organizer.
I have moved a catalog of 150'000 pictures (with associated pictures) to from an iMac to a new Macbook Pro. I used (in Elements 11, same version on the old system) "reconnect missing files" to update the path to the new location. Most files did reconnect perfectly. However, some of them cannot be reconnected. The message I get is
"The files cannot be reconneceted because the file already exists".
The reality is that the same file does not exist. Only an identical named file in a completely separate directory path form another year is present (I use more than one camera and the filenames start all at DSCN001.jpg). How can I fix this, otherwise I cannot complete the transfer of the library.
Exporting my photo’s from iPhoto to the desk top and then importing to Photoshop Organizer 11, ALL photo’s show “Missing File” icon (?) in the top left corner when I eliminate photo’s from iPhoto. Why do I have to keep photo’s in iPhoto? Is there a workaround?
If I import iPhoto photo’s directly within Organizer I loose photo information.
