When I try to remove Photoshop Elements 8 and Premiere Elements 8 I get error messages on both that say missing .msi file for each. I tried reloading both 8 programs but they stop with the missing file message. I am trying to upgrade to version 10 for both.
View 1 RepliesI have a file "silence.wav" that was apparently in my Elements catalog. It is located in a folder that has been deleted over my years of upgrading Photoshop Elements. My problem is I can't find the file in my organizer/catalog in my Elements 11.0 to delete it from the catalog. Typically, with a picture that has been deleted, I can still see it in my catalog with a little question mark indicating the file connection is lost. I can then either reconnect or delete from catalog. However, since I can't find this silence.wav file in my catalog (searching the catalog doesn't locate it) I can't delete it. As a result it always shows in my list when I reconnect files from time to time. How to get rid of this file so Elements doesn't continue to think it is part of my catalog and missing a link?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an old 3DSMax file that when I open it in 3DSMax 2011 I get an error saying it can't find a few JPG files needed for some materials. Normally, I would simply go into the material editor and delete the materials that are referencing that file, but I cannot find those materials no matter how hard I search. For example, I used the "Material > Get All Scene Materials" function in the slate editor, and looked at each one's maps rollout--but I could not find the problematic references.
I did find the problematic file references in the "Asset Tracking" dialog and figured I might be able to remove them in there, but alas I was unable to do so. Maybe I don't know the full extent of what the Asset Tracking dialog is for?
Is there a way to remove materials in the scene that are causing those problems? I'm not sure what is causing the error.

Organizer starts searching for missing files. files that i have deleted, and the programme just keep on forever searching for those already deleted files. When i try to turn off that function, the organizer just stops. Running the program on Imac 2010.

Update: a bit later: All of a sudden it seems to work under Enhange -> Photomerge and then Panorama isn't greyed out anymore.

I can see the RAW .dng files in the 'open' dialog box, but when I go to "open" one, I get the following error. Online help say I "should" be able to do this.

My camera is a Casio EX-FH100, shoot 10mp files in raw.
Everytime I try to open a CR2 file i get an error saying
"could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw. Please visit the Camera Raw help documentation for additional info."
I am shooting with a Canon 6D and Canon 60D so I know the camera models are supported. I have already updated to the 7.1 version of Camera Raw.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been running PSE 10 for a while with my Canon 60D, windows 7 and I have never had an issue with importing CR2 files to my organizer. Now all of the sudden they will no longer show up in the organizer or rather there is the icon with a question mark, and the "mssing file" error. When I use the downloader from my card reader I can see them in the preview screen, but when the downloader is done and the files are in the organizer, get nothing but the aforementioned icons.
I installed to the DNG converter as suggested, but that did nothing as well. So, I finally gave up, purchased PSE 12, installed it and guess what, still no luck. I have updated the RAW converter to the latest version and as near as I can tell I have done everything suggested. Like I said earlier, I can see the pictures clearly in the adobe downloader when I import the files from my memory card and I can open the pics fine in the Canon software, I can even open the picture in the Editor if I go through the editor; but I can't do anything with the picture in the Organizer.
I just installed Photoshop Elements 11 for MAC and the option to change file names is grayed out. ( I am able to change the folder names.). In previous versions of PSE that I had on my PC I was always able to change the photo/file names to the shot dates. How can I accomplish this in PSE 11 for MAC?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have installed the trial version of Elements 12 as we are looking at purchase for a client who needs a simple and inexpensive program to look at EPS files and save them as JPGs. Elements 12 says that an EPS file can be 'imported' as a supported file type, however when I click on File -> Import, it comes up with WIA Support, then when I click on that and select the EPS file, it says "No WIA compatible devices were detected. Check that your device is plugged in to the computer and the power is turned on".
I have seen an article on how to import into Elements 11, but the options are not available in 12 (probably due to the fact that 12 is supposed to natively import the format). As I understand the trial is a fully-functioning package with no options turned off until purchase.
I have moved a catalog of 150'000 pictures (with associated pictures) to from an iMac to a new Macbook Pro. I used (in Elements 11, same version on the old system) "reconnect missing files" to update the path to the new location. Most files did reconnect perfectly. However, some of them cannot be reconnected. The message I get is
"The files cannot be reconneceted because the file already exists".
The reality is that the same file does not exist. Only an identical named file in a completely separate directory path form another year is present (I use more than one camera and the filenames start all at DSCN001.jpg). How can I fix this, otherwise I cannot complete the transfer of the library.
Exporting my photo’s from iPhoto to the desk top and then importing to Photoshop Organizer 11, ALL photo’s show “Missing File” icon (?) in the top left corner when I eliminate photo’s from iPhoto. Why do I have to keep photo’s in iPhoto? Is there a workaround?
If I import iPhoto photo’s directly within Organizer I loose photo information.

I created a document profile and saved it in the appropriate folder:

I then needed to remove it, but it keeps coming back. I deleted the file (even from the recycle bin), deleted my preferences, and rebooted the machine. But when I start Illustrator, as soon as I press Ctrl + N or choose File/New, the profile automatically gets recreated in the New Document Profiles folder and shows up in the Profile drop-down list of the New File dialog.
I cannot remove datalink was created by Insert Sheet List Table. Cannot see it in Datalink Manager.
