AutoCad :: Unable To Delete Or Remove A Layer?
May 25, 2012In this particular drawing I have a layer I can see in my Layers Properties Manager but I cannot find in my drawing and it will not let me remove it.

May 16, 2011The only way I know to remove the segment of this 3d object in between the orange lines is to slice on each orange line and select to keep both sides which is pretty tedious since I will need to do this every 3 feet over a 170 foot span....is there another easier way to do multiple mortar joints on a 3d object like this?

May 3, 2012I have a drawing with a bunch of layers that cannot be deleted since they are nested in block definitions. However, the blocks are not in use and cannot be purged. I think it is because they are referenced for point styles, that are also not in use. Is there a way to delete the point style in order to clear these layers and blocks?

Aug 19, 2013I'm using AutoCAD 2013 for Mac, and it works perfectly fine and normal. However, everything I draw, weather its a line, a shape or different objects crossing each other, will have some kind of tag next to it, telling what kind of corner or intersection it is. It's very informative, but they are simply too larger on my display, I hardly get to see what I'm drawing. So frankly I'd love to know how to remove them.

I can add a hatch, but the hatch is on a plane at the bottom of the solid, but not around the solid.

AutoCAD Map 3D :: 2011 Unable To Select Object?
Feb 24, 2011When I select an object to move I am unable to snap to the grips of the object or any other object close or any intersections. I have double and triple checked my osnap settings. Also, If I select a circle to move I am unable to select the center of the circle through additional osnap settings. One last issue, If I select an object and do a copy with base point command, I am unable to select a definitive base point. No grips or intersections show up.
My co-workers are able to do these functions but I am not.

3ds Max :: Unable To Remove A Reference To Bitmap File
Mar 26, 2012I have an old 3DSMax file that when I open it in 3DSMax 2011 I get an error saying it can't find a few JPG files needed for some materials. Normally, I would simply go into the material editor and delete the materials that are referencing that file, but I cannot find those materials no matter how hard I search. For example, I used the "Material > Get All Scene Materials" function in the slate editor, and looked at each one's maps rollout--but I could not find the problematic references.
I did find the problematic file references in the "Asset Tracking" dialog and figured I might be able to remove them in there, but alas I was unable to do so. Maybe I don't know the full extent of what the Asset Tracking dialog is for?
Is there a way to remove materials in the scene that are causing those problems? I'm not sure what is causing the error.

Illustrator :: Unable To Remove A Document Profile In CS6?
Jun 5, 2012I created a document profile and saved it in the appropriate folder:
C:UsersusernameAppDataRoamingAdobeAdobe Illustrator CS6 Settingsen_USx64New Document Profiles
I then needed to remove it, but it keeps coming back. I deleted the file (even from the recycle bin), deleted my preferences, and rebooted the machine. But when I start Illustrator, as soon as I press Ctrl + N or choose File/New, the profile automatically gets recreated in the New Document Profiles folder and shows up in the Profile drop-down list of the New File dialog.
Photoshop :: How To Remove Object

I've tried to use the Content Aware tool and my result turned out to be a bush. I've also tried the spot healing brush and eraser tool. The result was the same.
Need removing this object? Right now, I'm at a loss as to what to do.

May 28, 2013This is an AutoCAD 2011 related question about being unable to see under properties objects that I have attached to polylines in AutoCAD Map3D.
I have created an map3d .dwg that the polylines and points have attributes attached (objects). However, when I access the same file in plain AutoCAD nothing appears under properties.
Is is a format, import settings tweak or simply it can not be done?

Jul 28, 2012I've been following the Convert 2D to 3D video that is given in the Help section of AutoCAD 2012, and whenever I try to sweep the handle using the same methods that were used in the video it says that it is unable to sweep 1 selected object (when I select the path). I've attached the DWG file.
Also, when I went to use the 3D align feature I did exactly as the video did, but my handle wouldn't align with the side of the mug. It kept lining up with the side but never between the top and bottom of the mug like you'd expect. I kept having to move it to get it down where it needed to be.

Aug 16, 2011I just stated using AutoCAD 2006 this summer as an intern for an engineering department. The program has become pretty easy to use and I thought i was getting the hang of it.
All of a sudden, when i draw a line, circle, or another shape, i can't see the input bar that floats at the end of the line.
What im talking about is the small display that always sticks to the end of the object your drawing. It displays the angle the line is drawn at, you can see what measurement you're typing in.
