View 4 RepliesIn making a slideshow the default format appears to be .wmv. I have devices that do not recognize either .wmv files or the release that is used in Elements 11. Can I choose to save my slideshow as a .mp4 or .avi format directly from Elements 11?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Adobe Premier and Photoshop and I am trying to make a slideshow with pictures and video, but there is no sound in my video clips. What could be the problem. I have edited and created the pictures in the photoshop, but when I add a video clip from my files, it plays with no sound.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEver since I switched to Photoshop Elements 10 and subsequently 11 (both are on my computer), I have been unable to add music media.
I copied ALL of my music CDs to my hard drive and to my iphone etc. They are there and I can play them. I have been unable to add my music. For example this is what happens when I am in Photoshop Elements 10 slideshow:
* ADD MEDIA
* Audio from folder
* iTunes
* iTunes Media
* Music from CDs
* every folder I try returns the message "no items match your search".
I'm trying to save a file as a back-up so I need to save it to my PC in a file format that is editable in elements 8

Is there any way of speeding this up in PSE12? It was slow in PSE10, but it did take over a minute in total.
View 21 Replies View RelatedI was recently trying to RECONNECT some files on my catalogs when I noticed I couldn't reconnect a couple of video files. The files were .WMV and when I looked at the thumbnail, I noticed that there where two thumbnails "stacked" with the same file name, but different lenghts of time. I found the original video file using explorer and noticed that the original file is as long as the two "thumbnails" put together. Now, it won't reconnect the thumbnails to the video file. Why did it "split" the video file in the first place? How could I reconnect it?

I am using Photoshop Elements 6 in Windows XP.
My video clips play in sequence with thumbnails in full screen view, but freeze and shutdown software in slideshow mode. My goal is to burn slides and clips and show on TV via dvd player. Why does everything work fine in full screen mode and not in slideshow mode?
I transferred all my photo files from my Old XP PC where i used PSE 5.0 to my New Windows 8 computer and then loaded my new PSE 11 program in...All my JPEG files work but all my sony home video files that used to work on PSE 5.0 no longer have their pictures with their sound..And some off them even have music files running in behind the video sound files.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe files are Mpeg4..I just upgraded some PSE 11 catalogs to PSE 12 and all functions and tags imported fine. When I import video only into PSE12 organizer, it will not generate a thumbnail image. I imported the same files into the old catalog using PSE11 and the thumbnails will be created. I have even gone a step further and converted the PSE11 catalog after imports were made, and PSE12 will now have the thumbnails. Eventually PSE11 is going to have to be uninstalled.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen opening certain JPG images in Photoshop, they look different (worse) than when opened in any other application. They get some kind of additional distortion / artifacts.
If you look closely at the right side of the following screenshot, you will notice that the edges between the color areas are kinda jagged (less smooth) in comparison to the left one. When zooming in, it appears that every second pixel line at the borders of the red areas is distorted in horizontal direction:
left side: image opened with JPEG View, Windows Photo Viewer, Google Chrome or Paint Shop Pro X5 right side: image opened with Photoshop CS6 (also tested on an old CS4 version - same result)
The image retains those distortions when saved from Photoshop. No matter if saved loss less (PNG) or not (JPG). However, when opening the image with an image viewer (i.e. JPEG View), taking a screenshot and pasting it into Photoshop, there are no such artifacts. Even when then saved as JPG and reopened, there is still no distortion.
Therefore the issue must be related to the format the original files are saved in. According to the metadata stored within the JPG the image was edited with "Adobe Lightroom".

View 3 Replies View RelatedIn Lightroom 4 we could create custom video presets for slideshows [URL] ..... But when I try to use the presets in Lightroom 5 they do not show up (even though on the dialogue box for exporting a slideshow they are still called video presets).
how to write a custom slideshow video preset for Lightroom 5?
In using Lightroom 5.2 Slideshow (current version), I can export PDF and Jpeg versions of the Slideshow which look good. When I add music and Export Video slideshow the exposure goes up by +1.5 to +2.
I have gone to "Preferences", "Presets", "Store presets with this catalog" (checked)
In LR4 when I burn my slideshow video to a USB and play on my TV, the slideshow works fine but the mp3 music skips during transitions. Played on the PC music is fine. I am using 'fit to music'
View 13 Replies View RelatedI use lightroom to edit the timelapses I shoot and it works brilliantly with the sync setting. But my problem is I use presets that call for the slideshow to move at 24 fps, 26fps, 30fps etc. and some of these time lapses contain over 300 photos and whenever I try to export the timelapse as a video from the slideshow module about an 8th of the way into the progress bar it stops and a message comes up that says "unknown error occurred" So my question would be: Is there a maximum number of slides you can have in a slideshow and is that what's causing this to happen?

View 1 Replies View RelatedInstalled Lightroom 5 upgrade. On LR 4 I can export a 55 slideshow as MP4 with 1080p preset using all four cores on a win7-64 (Intel I7) in about 6-8 min (used 70-80% processor). In LR5, the CPU never goes above 15% processor and takes 45-50 minutes. I can flip between the two (not at the same time) to test. Luckily, no catalog changes other than what the automatic conversion did.
Interestingly, I see a ".aac" and ".m4v" in the destination directory during the rendering process (they eventually goes away and are replaced by the ".mp4" at the end of the rendering export process).
Why LR5 is not taking full advantage of the multi core CPU? How to improve performance in this area?Overall, its very disappointing. I have to go back to LR4 to re-render the slideshows that eventually get exported to a DVD (but that's another story).
Additional information, when I render the slideshow, it looks like LR4 exports using the native executable (no spawned subprocesses), but LR5 spawns a separate process to handle the export/rendering process.

I have PSP X3...we are having a family reunion, and decided to create a DVD slideshow of past and present family members to show on a TV screen. The idea was to use a DVD player to play the slideshow, and hopefully be able to give out DVDs of the slideshow to family members at the reunion.
We have been able to create the slideshows using Project Creator: the slideshow consists of typical jpg files scanned using a typical scanner/printer of old photographs. The slideshow is a default .AVI container, which all 3 DVD players we have tried to use state they support AVI. However, none of the DVD players have been able to play the slideshow, saying "disc error", or "disc is not compatible for playing or recording".
My question is, do we need to use the actual Corel PSP X3 program, in order to make the slideshow work? We are able to connect a laptop to a widescreen TV for showing at the reunion, but this would kill our ability to hand out DVDs of the slideshow to family members, as they would 1) need a PC, and 2) need Corel PSP X3 in order to make the slideshow play.
Surely there should be a way to make the video play for typical DVD player support. We have used a Sony, Panasonic, and a Memorex DVD player, with the 1st two options being fairly new, DVR devices.
Recently I have decided to give client viewings of their wedding photographs rather than an online gallery as I feel it's more personal and has better impact on a large TV screen with added music. I really like the simple LR interface and have gotten around the well known music feature issue by splicing tracks in Audacity.However, the last time I tried to use the 'export to video' function it took about an hour to create 25% of it (370 photos), so I had to abandon it and take the whole PC. This time I left plenty of time and it was running overnight, and yes, a lovely MPEG-4 is now sat in my video files.
I've just played it back and it seems to have lost all the timings that I meticulously spent hours perfecting. The 2.6 second duration I have set is much shorter and now all the slides don't fit with the music. I've been back to check settings when exporting and there are no options at all. Am I missing something or is export to video still in it's infancy?
When I save a jpg, this stupid programme adds "edited" to the file name. How to get rid of this foolish thing.
