Jan 10, 2013One of the great features of the Sony NEX-7 is that the NEX-7 makes automatic lens corrections for vignetting, chromatic aberration and distortion problems. These corrections are written to the file and the preview. However, when converting these images from ARW to DNG the correction data seems to be lost, and the images revert to their uncorrected state. This requires all images to then be re corrected with the Adobe lens profiles, which is both tedious, an extra step, and also seems to produce results that are somewhat less optimal than the original corrections made by the camera.
Should not the ACR Converter and Lightroom retain the lens corrections made by the camera?

Dec 13, 2012I take photos in raw and jpeg. My raw files have the dimensions 3:4 and jpeg have 2:3. However when I use camera raw, the dimension of the raw file is changed to2:3 which causes me to loose part of the picture. If I save the raw file to tif and open in elements I get 3:4 but then I can not edit in Camera raw! I have a canon powershot g12 and photoshop elements 11.

Mar 11, 2014I am trying to adjust the white balance using photoshop elements 11, all the information I have come across tells you how to do it using the camera raw plug in. This has been updated and still I do not see it listed when I click on the file menu. I take photos of antique gold lockets using a light house and even though the custom white balance is set on my camera the photos are still coming out too canary yellow. I need to be able to adjust the colors so that they are more antique rose gold looking and have been reading different articles and videos on how other people adjust the colors and would like to try a couple of the ways I have seen but am unable as the camera raw plug in is not showing up as an option.
