View 3 Replies View RelatedWould it be possible to update the PSE10 Raw to level ACR 7.2 to use the RAW from Sony RX100
View 2 Replies View RelatedWe just bought a Sony RX100 and want to use it with our Photoshop CS5 12.0.4 and Camera Raw 6.7.0.339. The Raw files (extension .ARW) produced by the camera can't be opened by Camera Raw.
1. Can any released version of Camera Raw open these files?
2. Do we have to update to Photoshop CS6 to be able to open these files? (If so it's a tribute to corporate greed.)
3. Does Sony software can convert these files?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just purchased a Sony RX100 camera. It captures RAW files in a format that ends in .ARW. Neither Lightroon nor Photoshop recognize that format. Is there any way short of converting .ARW to JPG that I can overcome this?

View 2 Replies View Related i have a sony nex 6 camera. i would like to know if the latest photoshop of lightroom supports this camera and its RAW file - ARW?
If not, what do you recommend i do? i want to avoid having to compress the images, if that would reduce quality.
I used the old video studio several years ago and I have just recently upgraded to this version. I have also purchased a new sony Video Camera the HDR-CX560V. Unfortunately, the software doesn't recognize when the camera is connected via USB cable.

View 5 Replies View RelatedOne of the great features of the Sony NEX-7 is that the NEX-7 makes automatic lens corrections for vignetting, chromatic aberration and distortion problems. These corrections are written to the file and the preview. However, when converting these images from ARW to DNG the correction data seems to be lost, and the images revert to their uncorrected state. This requires all images to then be re corrected with the Adobe lens profiles, which is both tedious, an extra step, and also seems to produce results that are somewhat less optimal than the original corrections made by the camera.
Should not the ACR Converter and Lightroom retain the lens corrections made by the camera?
With Bridge and Photoshop CS5.1 what do I need to do to work with images from the Sony A99 in ARW?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am unable to import raw files to E11 from my Panasonic Lumix 200. I get a response that says "nothing imported - no supportive file types" also "can't complete request as file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by installed version of Camera raw". I think I understand that I need at least a 7.2 version and don't know what I have. The camera is a fairly recent model.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI changed Adobe Elements version (from 10 to 11) and Brand New all-in-one Dell XPS computer that comes with Windows 8 as OS (From XP SP3) ... Now my import in Adobe Organzer gets stuck. Adobe Elements sees the camera, and compares the files on my camera to the photos in Organizer and knows how may are duplicates. I then select all the photos it finds as Non-Duplicates and tell it what directory to import into and select (Finish/Import) and it just sits there. I can change anything on that screen for options, but it really is locked up. I have to use Task Manager to end the task so that I can get back into Adobe Organizer.

View 4 Replies View RelatedUsing PSE 11 wanted to have 2 images on the screen to compare them.I hit Window > Images > Tile, and all my open images, about 15, were tiled. From there I was stuck. I don't know how to select the 2 images I want to compare, and I don't know how to get back to displaying just 1 image.I hit Window > Images, but there's no option to do anything with the tiled images.I opened the Photo Bin, right clicked on different thumbnails, but "Minimize" wasn't available.I ended up writing down all my open images and closing the program. It would be nice to be able to select what images are to appear simultaneously on the screen, or at least get back to having a single image. As it is, I don't see the use of Window > Images > Tile unless you just want to look at a cluttered screen before closing the program.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have just bought Elements 12. Great programme. I used to use Picasa 3, a good free programme. In Picasa it is easy to move images around in their folders by simply click, drag and drop. This does not work in elements. Is it possible to achieve this somehow?

View 7 Replies View RelatedA friend of mine has been happily using / importing Sony Nex 7 Raw images into Lightroom 4.2 / 4.3 for a long time when suddenly this happens.
Note the grey border all around the image.
This file was imported with: No develop presetNo metadata preset.Process 2012.Various std in the box profiles. Here is a screen paste of the file dimensions (also showing that it is a raw file and not cropped).
All Sony Nex raw files imported to a particular machine (Win 7, 64 bit) demonstrate this behaviour. So, in trying to trace the problem.
The crop tool was checked to make sure there was no crop applied. They grey border is not just a visual border. If you examine the jpg it is actually grey pixels consuming a large percentage of the native 6000x4000 Nex 7 resolution. The Reset button was pressed also,to make sure the raw file conversion was restored to basecamp.History reset.A raw image imported into the same machine / software from a Nikon D300 behaves perfectly.Previously imported Nex 7 Raw images are ok.When the images are imported into two other machines they imports perfectly.Scrapping the preference file makes no difference.Overlay mode was checked, an overlay image loaded and then overlay mode turned off… just to make sure this was NO overlay.Applying a crop and then removing a crop still leaves the grey border.Applying the crop reduces the image dimensions to approx.. 4946 x 3293. Exporting an image to jpg (as shown) leaves image with grey border. This grey border can be cropped out, but it means the resolution will reduce.Exploring various scene modes / in camera crops / resolution settings on the camera does not seem to make any difference.Formatting the card in the camera, take a picture, import directly from card. 3 different cards used. (No change). When using the Catelog on a different machine the grey border remains.
NB Camera set to RAW + jpeg. Jpeg's import without border.
So finally last night…
……. we uninstalled Lightroom 4.3 and re-installed into a different folder. (No change).
