I have just bought Elements 12. Great programme. I used to use Picasa 3, a good free programme. In Picasa it is easy to move images around in their folders by simply click, drag and drop. This does not work in elements. Is it possible to achieve this somehow?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm running Photoshop CC 64 on a Windows 7 64 machine and am only able to open files in Photoshop by going to File->Open. Double-clicking from Explorer doesn't work and i can not drag/drop files into the open application window or taskbar icon. Right clicking on files and selecting "Open with" also doesn't work.
I checked file associations and made sure to choose CC 64. If I right click on the shortcut and choose "Run As Administrator" which I have to do in order to get files to open between Lightroom and Photoshop (both need to be Run As Administrator), I'm still unable to open from Windows Explorer. However, if I check the box to "Run this program as administrator" in the shortcut's Compatibility tab, I can double-click to open from Explorer but am prompted with a UAC warning every time. Dragging/dropping into the open app still doesn't work.
Opening between Bridge and PS works as expected so long as both programs are "Run As Administrator"

I have a very simple question, for which I can find NO answer: since I upgraded my Mac OS to Lion, I can no longer grab an image -- or, most importantly, several images from several locations on my several drives -- then drag and drop them on the PS Elements 10 icon in my Dock, or on the PS Elements 10 icon in my Applications folder, and have PS Elements 10 automatically boot open, and load these images into the Editor workspace. I try it, and PS Elements 10 just sits there and refuses to open. I could do this in Snow Leopard, and I can do this in Lion with EVERY other app I have (providing I'm dragging and dropping files that the apps recognize). I have LR 4 and InDesign CS6. No matter what I try, I can't figure out how to drag and drop files from LR4 to InDesignCS6. I always get a "cannot" icon appear in LR.

I have recently upgraded from PSE 10 to 11. In 10 I used to drag People tags onto autodetected faces which would server to add the tag as well label the mark of the face (2 birds with one stone). In 11 when I attempt to drag and drop a People tag onto a marked face, the square and the "Who is this" disapears. The only way I can find to actually mark the face is by actually typing the name for each person. Definitely a more painful way of doing it versus drag and drop. Did Adobe drop this feature or is this a bug I can expect to be fixed in an upcoming update? Or is this problem that is just local to my machine?

I am using this for a "scrapbook" photo page, where there are multiple photos and text on the page.
I can't change the text fonts in Elements 9. Most everything else seems to work except the font family drop down menu. When I click on the arrow, the menu drops but immediately dissappears. The font size drop down works but not the family menu.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSince My Documents is where I put all my *useful* files/folders, I like to keep it clean and organized. I don't want it cluttered up with folders that programs are using to store "work" files, as is the case with PSP. I went to preferences and laboriously changed ALL File Locations to the user/my-name/appdata/...etc. area. But when I saved, exited and reloaded PSP, those folders were created again. Checking the File Locations in preferences again showed that the appdata ones I had put in were still the top (primary) folder option, but the ones directing the files to "documents" had been created again as the third entry in each category.
How can I keep these folders/files OUT of My Documents?
If I bring link in a dwg file origin to origin. The line work comes in correct and straight but in the wrong position.
If I link in a dwg file by shared coordinates it comes in in the right position but the dwg lines aren't straight if you move the mouse they jump around.
Importing images from specific folders is including images from outside selected folders.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI tired importing photos from one folder and about 300-400 of them weren't imported (out of about 1,000). I deleted them and tried again. Same thing. On the third try it imported all of them.My thought was maybe it's going to take more time importing images from my folders than learning to use the program. I can't learn the program if it keeps dropping images. I tried another directory of about 3,000 images but it only accepted about 300 of them. No matter how many times I tried, it would only import 300 out of the whole batch. These are good jpg files that all my other programs have no trouble with.
