Jun 15, 2013I scanned a number of pictures. I used another piece of software to revise the "created" and "modified" dates of the file to the dates the pictures were actually taken. I then put the files in a folder that Photshop Elements imports. But when it did, it imported the files with the dates I that I had scanned the pictures. Then I had to use PE to adjust the dates again.I like using the other software for adjusting dates because I can do batch revisions.

Jan 2, 2013The videos are there, but I just get the hourglass picture. If I doubleclick them, they'll play just fine. But I have no way of quickly scanning thumbnails to pick a movie.
While we're on the subject of thumbnails, I can only see thumbnails for my pictures if I make them larger. If I try to make the thumbnails smaller, they just won't ever show up. I have about 1800 video clips (very few longer than 1 minute), and about 10,000 pictures.

Oct 6, 2013I'm having some troubles viewing all my video thumbnails.
I have different kinds of video clips in my organizer, but it's only the MOV-files that won’t show. The funny thing is, that it’s only some of the MOV-files that doesn’t show up others do!
All the video clips are recorded with an iPhone, and imported to the catalog at the same time.Even though I can’t see the thumbnail, I can still playback the video clip.
I've already tried the following:
- Repairing the catalog
- Optimizing the catalog
- Restoring the preferences to default settings
- Renaming the "status.dat" and "psa.prf" files
My specifications:
- Installed Adobe software - Photoshop Elements 12 + Premiere Elements 12
- Catalog containing appx. 17.000 photos and 400 video clips
- Windows 7 64 bit

I normally see them and see thumbnails for JPEG..but not the PSD's with a newer version of PS. Apr 24, 2013I'm using Autocad Civil3D 2011, Version 3. Just yesterday I noticed that the file date shown in Autocad's open file dialog box shows an earlier time than Windows Explorer, which shows the file date and time correctly. When I enter the "time" command on the autocad command line, the correct time is shown for the "last updated" time.
For example:
The Autocad open file dialog box shows the file having a time/date of 4/23/2013 3:54 PM
Windows Explorer shows the file having a time/date of 4/23/2013 4:10 PM
"TIME" command at autocad prompt returns the following:

I rebooted and restarted autocad, and resaved my file with the same results (although with different times-but again the autocad open file dialog box showed an incorrect, earlier time). I have never had this problem before, and it is driving me crazy as I usually sort my files by date to assure that I am working with the latest file.

When importing the batch of images and organizer, it changes the dates of the images automatically, some images are showing in correct date sequence and some photos timings are getting change and taking the current time and date. Aug 12, 2013Just imported over 400 photos from my camera and my cellphone and, for some completely unknown reason, PSE9 has chosen to change the dates of those images so, now, my photos are completely messed up and are not in anything like the correct chronological order. Some dates on the camera and the cellphone are correct and some are incorrect so it's not even one device! I've checked my camera and my cellphone and both have the correct dates on them but, for some reason PSE9 is showing different dates, and it's not even today's date!
What PSE9 is doing, and how to rectify it, at the moment, I feel like uninstalling the whole system and using a different package!
Photoshop Elements :: 10 Not Writing Dates To Files Consistently?
Jul 17, 2013I asked essentially this question on Elements Village a few days ago. No responses as yet, so I thought I'd try here...In PSE10, I have many photos scanned to TIFFs. In the Organizer, I set the dates for these photos to match when the original photo was taken (which of course is not present in the automatic metadata for the scanned image). However, when I look at the actual photo files (either with exiftool, or looking at the metadata available in Windows Explorer on my Windows 7 machine), usually my added date is not present. If it is there, I see a "Date taken" in Explorer. In exiftool, it appears in a few places, including IPTC Date Created and XMP-xmp:Create Date. However, it only appears in about 5-10% of the files. The ones where it does appear seem random to me.I have this problem after doing Write Keyword Tags and Properties Info to Photos, although I'm thinking this isn't a factor with this problem. How to get these added dates to be written reliably to the files? And why is it intermittent with PSE10?
