View 2 RepliesI recently set up Elements 12. Prior to this I used elements 11. In that catalog I have more photos that I don't want. So I decided to export the ones I want then import into PSE 12. As I do this many of the dates on the pictures change from the date taken to the current date. I have tried several different ways and can't stop the dates changing. I am putting them into mobile albums in PSE 12 if that makes a difference.

So when I then try and upload the images to Facebook or other software in a bulk upload the images are highlighted and I therefore can't select them and upload.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI would like to import a set photos into Lightroom as say "New York 2012" as the folder name. In that folder I would like to then have the pictures in sub folders by the relevant dates (i.e. December 1, December 2, etc...). However, it seems like everytime I try to do an import this way, I would Get my "New York 2012" folder but then a sub folder of 2012 first, and only then the subfolders with the December 1, Decemeber 2 etc pictures. Is there anyway to eliminate that "2012" subfolder that is created. I mean I already know is 2012 because the title of the main folder is New York 2012...I just want the subfolders to be the dates for the pics themselevs right away rather than first having 2012 folder to click on. Is there anyway to do this with the import feature?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've recently upgraded to PSE 11 from PSE 10. Previously, when I click edit in iphoto, the photo that I want to edit automatically opens up in PSE 10 and I can do my edit rightaway.
However, the photo does not open up automatically in PSE 11 now. My computer will launch PSE 11 but I have to manually load the photo for editing. I've done the necessary settings in iphoto (i.e edit using external editor) but it's still not working like it used to.
Is this a change in feature in PSE 11.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI scanned a number of pictures. I used another piece of software to revise the "created" and "modified" dates of the file to the dates the pictures were actually taken. I then put the files in a folder that Photshop Elements imports. But when it did, it imported the files with the dates I that I had scanned the pictures. Then I had to use PE to adjust the dates again.I like using the other software for adjusting dates because I can do batch revisions.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust imported over 400 photos from my camera and my cellphone and, for some completely unknown reason, PSE9 has chosen to change the dates of those images so, now, my photos are completely messed up and are not in anything like the correct chronological order. Some dates on the camera and the cellphone are correct and some are incorrect so it's not even one device! I've checked my camera and my cellphone and both have the correct dates on them but, for some reason PSE9 is showing different dates, and it's not even today's date!
What PSE9 is doing, and how to rectify it, at the moment, I feel like uninstalling the whole system and using a different package!
I asked essentially this question on Elements Village a few days ago. No responses as yet, so I thought I'd try here...In PSE10, I have many photos scanned to TIFFs. In the Organizer, I set the dates for these photos to match when the original photo was taken (which of course is not present in the automatic metadata for the scanned image). However, when I look at the actual photo files (either with exiftool, or looking at the metadata available in Windows Explorer on my Windows 7 machine), usually my added date is not present. If it is there, I see a "Date taken" in Explorer. In exiftool, it appears in a few places, including IPTC Date Created and XMP-xmp:Create Date. However, it only appears in about 5-10% of the files. The ones where it does appear seem random to me.I have this problem after doing Write Keyword Tags and Properties Info to Photos, although I'm thinking this isn't a factor with this problem. How to get these added dates to be written reliably to the files? And why is it intermittent with PSE10?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have started learning about editing photos , I want to edit photos for printing only. Therefore I need to know about resizing , however, I have spent weeks , reading and watching videos about this , and they all speak the same editing language without being specifically about what is needed, I mean the rules to follow etc and process that is involved.
For example,of this, resolution and pixel ,dots per inch, they all mention of the name of them, and mention "put photos in a number of of 200 ppi," without given any detailed explanation about why this is so!, when there are so many other numbers from the same category. In order to resize a photo there is needs to be more specific information that is needed about it when photo editing is involved, 'custom' resize photos.
