I am self-publishing a book and need to change the dpi of all the photos from 72 to 300. I know how to do one photo, but the pdf is 218 pages. Is there a way to do all the photos at once (select all) or do I need to change them one at a time? If I have to change them one at a time, how do I save them so the file will stay intact?
View 1 RepliesElements 7. Without my opening, moving, renaming or otherwise molesting them, 2/3s of the photos in one of my two catalogs have suddenly gone missing. I have exhausted all the trouble shooting info I can find online and have tried the reconnecting procedures, optimized the catalog, repaired the catalog, rebuilt the thumbnails and uninstalled and reinstalled elements 7 all to no avail. The missing files, a mix of jpeg and nef totaling 272, are grouped in one block starting from the first photos I ever downloaded two years ago except for one which is a recent download. Elements 7 win xp 1G ram.

So I decided to export the ones I want then import into PSE 12. As I do this many of the dates on the pictures change from the date taken to the current date. In order to fit, all the images need to be scaled down to varying degrees, but when I'm starting out, I'm not sure what scale each image will need to be. With the default, if I shrink them too much then they get pixellated when I try to enlarge them again. Is there a way of enabling gimp to scale each image, but drop this version and reuse the original data on future scale operations (ie a "lossless" scaling operation)?
Currently I'm having to essentially create the collage twice - first time various shrink and expands til all images fit together, then start again but just rescale once to the required size.
I presume I'm correct in thinking there's no record function in GIMP yet, so I can't record my actions to GIMP then just delete redundant steps and replay...

New user to PSE11. Is it recommended that ALL photos be in albums or is the idea that photos in albums are a subset of the photos in folders? With all the sort and search functionality, I don't understand the benefit of albums.I name my image folders using a standard naming convention with the date embedded so it makes them rather easy to manage.

However, when I try to do it, the cursor/icon I am dragging turns into a gray circle with a gray diagonal when it reaches the Media Browser pane in the Organizer and the folder/photo is not imported into the Organizer when I "drop." When I attempt to sync photos in iTunes (to synch with my iPhone), Photoshop Elements appears in the drop down and when I select it, it finds all the "albums" in the catalog. However, when I select an album to sync, iTunes indicates 0 photos are available in the album.
I'm running photoshop elements 11, iTunes 11.0.1.12, Windows 8 Pro.
if I try to sync "all photos and albums" it still reports that there are "0 photos" available to sync.
I've tried to make new albums, which iTunes "sees" the names, but there are "0 photos" available to sync.
I've also tried to sync with a folder (file system) which works just fine.
I can not paste photos from my photos file. If I start a blank file I can paste anything photos want from the web in as many layers as I want. If I try to paste a photo from my own photos file it becomes the back ground by itself. I don't know how to stop this. Using photoshop elements 11.

The hard part is, the company is doing a full rebrand and one of the members is not available to do a new photo shoot so we have to use the wonderful existing ones but need to go over the old logo. I have cropped the photo out as much as I can but have not had enough luck with using the cloning tool on such a large space with a small amount of light change as it comes up looking like the bright blue wall behind us is streaky. How can I do this successfully?
