I have over 500 pictures which i want to modify, all of them need a few filters applied, is there like a macro or something that i can do this with? i dont wan to modify each one and save it one by one.
I have a relatively simple mass modeled in Rhino that I imported to a Revit Mass Family (via .sat file). I then placed walls, roofs, structure on the face of this mass. However I would like to be able adjust this mass, either in Rhino or Revit and the walls and structure adjust accordingly. Now however, if I reload the mass into my Revit family, and then reload the family to my model, and then attempt to Update to Face, the error "Faces defining this Element cannot be reacquired." and my only option is to delete the offending wall/roof etc.
Is this just a limitation in Revit/Rhino, or am I totally doing it wrong?
I used to be able to select all photo's in the development module and then apply a preset (i.e. sharpen for faces) and it would apply to all photo's, a mass edit would occur. Now when I select all and add a preset, it only applies to the photo being viewed at that time, i can no longer do mass edits in this manner. Is there a setting I am missing which allows mass editing in Development module? I am using Lightroom 5 for Mac. I edit 100's of photo's at once, and I like to add sharpening to all at the end rather than clicking each one at a time.
This isn't new or original, so I know there's got to be a better way to streamline it. Me and my team are going to be at an event, and we're going to take lots of photos. We want a way to very quickly apply a template around these photos. In this case, we're making it look as if the photos are the front page of a newspaper.
I'm speaking to one of my company's designers, and he seems to think we would have to do this manually in Photoshop 1 by 1, but I know there has to be a better way. There are tons of iPhone (etc) apps to apply templates/skins to photos.
When opening my jpeg photos in Photoshop elements 9, once saved elements seems put the image in a format that my Apple Mac isn't compatible with. So when I then try and upload the images to Facebook or other software in a bulk upload the images are highlighted and I therefore can't select them and upload.
I have started learning about editing photos , I want to edit photos for printing only. Therefore I need to know about resizing , however, I have spent weeks , reading and watching videos about this , and they all speak the same editing language without being specifically about what is needed, I mean the rules to follow etc and process that is involved.
For example,of this, resolution and pixel ,dots per inch, they all mention of the name of them, and mention "put photos in a number of of 200 ppi," without given any detailed explanation about why this is so!, when there are so many other numbers from the same category. In order to resize a photo there is needs to be more specific information that is needed about it when photo editing is involved, 'custom' resize photos.
just wondering if there is a way to do some simple edits such as auto colour adjusments etc on a large batch of photos rather than having to do them one by one?? can then add the more specific edits ontop.
can anyone point me to a tutorial that would give me a step by step run through - or give me a few nudges in the right direction!
After installing Elements on my new iMac, I cannot get photos to come up in Photoshop for editing. I went to Preferences and changed the preferred editing program from iPhoto to Photoshop.
In PSE 12 I cannot open RAW photos in Edit (after first opening in camera RAW), I keepgetting message'Cannot complete your request because of a program error.
I've been looking for a solution to remove the unit string ie Lbs, g, kg from the value given from a 'Mass' value in a text string.
As you may all know, creating text and having a 'physical property - mass' value...the unit string is there...
Lots of people on here have the problem...no-one has got a solution.
Until now...
Basically...open the part you need to get the mass property of in your text string.
Follow the instructions on this webpage...this is the first part...
[URL]
Basically, this creates a Mass property value in the parameters table that you can call on as a text parameter.
It's similar to the custom iproperty model - mass but NOT the same.
Once you have done this, you can go to the drawing of the part and create a text string in the drawing and call it up as shown in this procedure. BUT it still has the unit string.
Here's the best bit that you want to know...
To get RID of the unit string...open up the part again from the drawing...click on the parameter icon...find the user parameter...in the Nominal value column, right click on the value and you get a pop-up that gives you 3 options...
Custom Property Format, Make Multi Value & Delete Parameter.
Click on Custom Property Format.
The pop-up window comes up...showing you the property type...in my case...the 4 left columns read Text, g (grams), Format & Precision...
On the right hand side I have a Preview of the text...then 3 check boxes...Units string, Leading Zero's, Trailing Zero's.
Units string is checked.
Uncheck it.
Close it...Save your part...go back to the drawing and hey presto!...the text now shows the weight you require as a straight value...no units!
I use PE 7.0. Recently I am unable to crop photos when editing. The photo disappears, and I get a screen that asks me to reset. When I do that, I have lost all the other things I did in editing.
I've recently upgraded to PSE 11 from PSE 10. Previously, when I click edit in iphoto, the photo that I want to edit automatically opens up in PSE 10 and I can do my edit rightaway.
However, the photo does not open up automatically in PSE 11 now. My computer will launch PSE 11 but I have to manually load the photo for editing. I've done the necessary settings in iphoto (i.e edit using external editor) but it's still not working like it used to.
I have successfully installed Photshop Elements on a Mac but cannot import photos to edit them. I get this message "Photoshop Elements does not recognise this type of file".
Why do my photos look blurry after editing in PSE11? They look fine in PSE and when I view the .Jpeg but when I go to upload them onto my blog, they look horrible and blurry.
After i edit photo in elements 8 then close it,save it, it then crops itself... When i open it again about a fourth of it is gone from the bottom. What has gone wrong? It is all the photos i did (5)
I have taken 500 photos (in highest resolution, JPG, each ~5 MBytes) and want to crop them individually. With fewer ones I opened eg 30 at once, made my changes (eg cropping) and exported/saved these images via an action. But this method -- esp. opening the files -- took some time even on a "faster" computer, 16 GB RAM.Now the idea (or wish ):
1st step: decrease the dimensions of the images (maybe 840 x 540) 2nd: opening eg 60 at once (much faster...) 3rd: editing/cropping picture by picture
and in the last step: let PS do these changes on the original / high resolution images automatically..Are there plugins or other methods (or programs) for doing this?
Few years ago I tried programs like URL.....But the handling for selecting the area to be cropped was not very comfortable as it is in PS
Photoshop is acting wonky now that i've installed windows 8. i had to upgrade my video drivers, amd radeon 5700 series. now when editing photos, the background goes black or transparent.
I am developing a flyer for my photography business. It is going to be printed in black and white on recycled craft paper card stock (light brown). I have seen examples of photos edited so that they are essentially just blacks - no whites - and they print really nicely on craft paper. See attached. Any way to do this in LR, and if so, how?
After I've finished editing or combining photos, I try to save them and all that gets saved is a blank image. How do I get the program to save my images properly?
Currently looking at buying either Lightroom 4 or Elements 11 at home - can I change image resolution and merge/join photos along with the standard photo editing - would be using this app for my travel pics, family photos and photobooks?
I have one hard disk filling up with photos, so I have purchased a secondary hard disk to expand my storage. I would like to move my shoots from 2010 to that new hard disk, but I don't want to loose all of the edits saved on them in LR3. I have experimented with moving non-important images that have edits on them, then re-importing them. Unfortunately, LR3 does not preserve that history.
